On Friday September 6th, I visited the Rapid Care Clinic at 23 N Main Street in Angels Camp. I had a case of pink eye, conjunctivitis, and needed a prescription. The prescription was sent to the nearby CVS pharmacy, but no instructions were included, so CVS gave me the phone number of the attending physician assistant that I had seen 20 minutes earlier. I spoke with him briefly but then was put on hold for 15 minutes, by which time it was past 4 and the office was closed. At that point a nurse in Sonora answered the phone, and tried to help me, taking my phone number etc. 3 hours later, the pharmacist at CVS typed in logical instructions and filled the prescription. To say the least, it was a huge waste of my time.

I was admitted with the scare of high blood pressure and chest pains. After taking an extended EKG with faulty equipment the doctor came in, and instead of going over the EKG results, he told me "We don't provide that service." He recommend that I go to the emergency room. I asked if I was going to be billed for the visit, I was not given an acceptable response. This whole ordeal made my blood pressure rise even further, and it induced a panic attack which landed me in the emergency room. The ER medics gave me another EKG, and they were able to read and explain that my heart is functioning normally. I better not get a bill from Adventist.

I had the worst visit yesterday at this location. I went in with severe upper right abdominal pain and when I instructed the patient provider that my primary care physician instructed me if the pain got bad to go to urgent care, the provider said, “with what goal in mind?” He told me my vital signs with were good and sent me on my way with no relief for the pain besides to take ibuprofen when I got home despite me saying that wasn’t working. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with the care I was given.

The front desk was very unprofessional with her feet up and knees to her chest playing on her phone. I stood there as long as I could before I asked her twice if I had a co pay.

From the moment I sat down at the reception window, I was welcomed and spoken to like a friend. The receptionist was knowledgeable and provided me with great information since I had just had to go 100% on Social Security for all my medical treatments and how to easily supply requested information from my Medicare Advantage Card.
I sat down to wait my turn (I was in for my doctor's requested blood test) and within 7 minutes I was called into the back exam room and directed into the blood draw area. The nurse drawing the sample was very nice and the initial needle placement was pain free. Once all sample vials were full, she bandaged me up and I was done. I told her to have a great day and I was done.
I have always had great servce at the Angels Camp Adventist Health Rapid Care for several different incidents and each time i was always treated with the utmost care, no matter why I was there.

Very disappointed that I was informed that none of your primary care providers are accepting any new patients!
