I got my cat their a while ago she is now Six the staff was amazing and my cat Ninja is a sweet heart. I also got a dog their and she stole our hearts, I do recommend adopting a dog or cat.

This place is amazing and does a great job finding homes for the animals. I love love when they get transfers from other places!

The Calaveras Humane Society's first adoption center opened in June 2019. We accept owner surrendered pets by appointment, as well as transfers from overcrowded municipal shelters throughout Northern California.
Our organization, established in 1978, offers many programs and services, including spay/neuter discount vouchers for low-income Calaveras residents, a Pet Food Bank that provides food for the pets of low-income families, free adoptions to veterans, a comprehensive trap-neuter-return Feral Feline Program, and much more.
