Warning!! Do not go through Shasta gas! They told me that after the first payment up front I would get billed for the remaining propane fill ups. When I called to schedule to fill up they told me "sorry the lady that told you that was wrong and she doesn't work here anymore". I do not have the $400 up front or I would pay for it up front, knowing I could be billed I planned on it coming from my next paycheck. My tank is at 5% I have a 4 year old daughter and am pregnant and will be out of heat for over two weeks because of their "oopsie" (lie) to me. I asked them to please accommodate this one time and they said nope company policy. They have no morals and run their business unethically. Do not go through them!

Just started service and Karen was very pleasant to talk to and set up service AND they honor those who have served with a Veteran discount! So far, so good!

been with them for years I have always paid my bill. Try to get propane delivered. They refused. I wanted me to miss work to come to the office and pay first before they fill my tank that has been leaking propane for six months. No online payment methods no customer service, no customer appreciation get propane somewhere else

Was one of their first customers back in 1997 when they started out with only one truck. Chuck was great and kept it great until he passed the business on. We have a 500 gallon propane tank and he always gave us a discount as we took a large volume and the fact we were truly one of his first customers. When he retired several years ago I called and was told I would no longer get a discount. As a business owner myself I would have continued on like Chuck treated us. Matter of fact we do the same for long standing customers.

We can't say enough good things about Shasta Tanks. They have been exceptional in their delivery, their product and their customer service. We at Hi-Desert Propane highly recommend them.

This company doesn’t care about anyone! They are in it for the money only!!!! They came out in July filled my moms tank. Crazy, I know but they did. In October we tried to turn it on for the first time since it was filled and it was empty??? How is that possible? Called they said it evaporates with the heat. Really in the tank you supply and she rents? They are rude and uncaring. So, moving on to a new company after many years with them. Pretty soon they won’t have a business bucause they don’t provide good service in the office!

Schedule the gas delivery with 5% remaining in tank. Got called into work, so I was unable to pay cash. I offered to pay $385 on a $429 bill with my card promising to pay the remaining balance before the end of the day as soon as I could get to the bank. They refused, sent the driver back so I could reschedule for the following week, knowing I would have to pay $250 for an out of gas fee. I got frustrated and used foul language regarding the situation, not directed at anyone person. I received a call 5 days later notifying me that they were going to pick up my tank and deny any gas service even though I have disabled children in the home one week before Christmas. My water heater, stove and furnace all operate off of gas. It's been below 32°. My family and I have been freezing unable to prepare food or be able to bathe as a result this company's decision to cut off a crucial utility. I guess we won't be getting that Christmas goose . Merry Christmas to Shasta gas.

I used this gas company and filled my tank in the summer and before I turned my heater on for the winter months, my tank was empty. I then had to pay over $700 to fill it again only for it to last two weeks in a 250 lb tank. Filled it again and less than 3 weeks it was empty. I had them do a pressure test and they said the tank was fine. This went on for two years, having to fill it at least once a month. Finally I told them to come and get their tank.

I'm fairly new to having propane serviceAnd I must say the last three times I've had to have them come out I have truly been a pain and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate my needs. From front desk to the driver and even their trainee have all provided excellent service. Thank you

Being doing business with Shasta Gas for 4 years now. They have gotten really bad when it comes trying to fill an order. Have no respect for their customers.

Wow! I should have looked on Yelp before even using this company. We just purchased a home that utilizes propane gas. I end up using this company because the previous owners was already set up with them. Called the company to change info into my name, and credit card to be put on file for billing. They came out and fixed the regulator, never received a bill. I assumed they would just bill me when they fill up the tank at the end of the month. I have also contacted this company almost weekly since moving in for issues and concerns with my tank. NO one ever mentioned that I had an outstanding balance. Fast forward to today 5 day after tank was filled. My bill was $475 and $559 was taken out of my account. I called and they said that I was charged for a late fee for the regulator that was never paid for. I told her that I wasn't even aware or billed for it. They have my card on file, and why wasn't it taken out? Why was it taken out at the time that I was billed for the fill? She didn't even try to resolve the issue. I highly recommend that you do your research before using this company. We have experienced poor communication and they are not friendly or helpful when resolving a problem. There are many more companies in Shasta County that will work with their customers and not do sneaky stuff like this to make extra money. Also, I have never received their policy or anything stating that if a bill in not paid for within 15 days that there is a late fee. Everything was done over the phone and nothing was verbally said.

We bought a home that had Shasta Gas tank on property so we stayed with them. Noticed after 2nd fill the tank was going through the propane faster than usual, I asked for driver to check for leak. They checked and no issues supposedly. Now a YEAR later we are told by their own driver yesterday that we have a leak. We paid close $800 for about 70% of tank to fill, TWO months earlier than our schedule due to this leak. I DO NOT recommend this company if you want to trust their word at their own gain.

Switching to a different company. Higher propane prices than most with the worst service. The owners daughter runs things apparently. She is an extremely rude person to deal with. Would not recommend this company to anyone. In fact I would encourage any other company than this. I like to give business to locally owned places, but they have no respect or desire to please their paying customers.

I'm back to review this company again. I'm sad to say as much as I like to support local customer service plays a huge part. I left Shasta Gas due to terrible customer service. The gal ( do not know her name but heard it's the owners daughter) answers the phone and talks to you in such a rude tone. I ordered propane and asked if I gave her Mt card number could she run it in two days when I got paid. She was absolutely not having it and kept repeating herself you have to pay today. After I told her I would figure it out and pay that day. If you cannot provide an ounce of kindness you should not be in customer service. There are reviews on Facebook that identify this is not the first incidence. I found another great company with great customer service and they are local. Leo S Jones. You can pay online and they have the sweetest lady who answers the phone. So grateful I found another option.
