Customer service at this store is awful all the way up to the manager. Robert is rude and clearly has no customer service skills. The store is not clean. I do not recommend this Petco.

Hello, I stopped by to purchase a couple of items: 20 gallon filter kit and filters. Your employee dumped the filter kit on the counter as I was paying for them. She said when dumping the contents " we like to see how the product works!" I was insulted by her antics - thinking she possibly caught a criminal stealing something else with the purchase. I held my composure and decided share my visit with the yelp readers about the inappropriacy of the clerk. The only thing I can gleam - I opened the container to see if the filters matched and whether the kit I purchased was identical to my existing filter system. As far as I know, most people do the same thing when the box content is accessible to the public! If any one else has experience the same inappropriate behaver at the Euclid, Anaheim shore, please comment.

Just left this store and it is an absolute MESS! Don't go here it's not worth your time. The layout is horrible and the help DOESN'T HELP! 0 stars is my choice, but Yelp doesn't allow that!

I stopped by today to pick up some cat shampoo and while there an elderly lady came in thinking she had left her phone on the counter during checkout. The young lady at checkout looked around and in the drawers but didn't see it. She went to check with the other young lady working who had helped the lady check out. When they came back the second employee told the elderly lady that she had put her phone into the Petco bag with her purchases and even went outside with the lady to check for the phone. Sure enough the phone was in the bag. It gave me so much joy to see these young employees treat this elderly customer with such kindness and respect. By the way, I was helped in the same manner to find my shampoo. Way to go Petco!

This Petco is hit or miss, some of the employees actually care and know about the animals. Most do not. I'm not sure whats changed recently but for some reason they've started putting betas in the community tanks. One time I went in and it was a tank of all male betas and they were killing each other. I pointed it out today nicely and the employee started yelling at me. I called corporate and will be calling the hiring manager tomorrow because Elsa L. For some reason thinks it's entirely appropriate to yell at a customer instead of read the beta fish care sheet that petco passes out that literally tells them they are solitary fish.

Every time I visit, the employees are always very nice and helpful. I ask a lot of questions, they never get frustrated or upset over my questions. They're very enthusiastic! All these negative reviews make me wonder if they're even legitimate.

I would like to take this time to recognize the employee Heather. She helped my boyfriend and I pick out the correct supplies for our leopard geckos and was very informative and attentive. Thank you Heather!

I know most people won't rate a Petco or Petsmart but meeee .... I love it here! I have a shihpoo dog and she is a smaller breed and I've transitioned to getting her better quality food. I use to simply feed her dry food but now I feed her wet mixed with dry and she loves it a lot! This Petco to me has the most generous and helpful employees ! I am able to ask them questions and they lead me to the right section literally every time! Returns are super easy. I got my dog the merrick food pictured below and my dog didn't like it... the lady was able to show me a smaller breeds version of the same brand of food and now my dog is able to eat it which made me really excited. Now I know that I should be looking at brands and looking specifically for small breeds. If it wasn't for the lady in the front I don't think I would continue to buy from here but I'll be back! Especially since it's right near my house ! My first time trying Tiki dog and my dog LOVES IT! Will be back to get my cats some of the tiki cat

Came here to see some fish- Realized that the aquatic is not good. Lights on the tanks are out. There was water spill because of sink malfunction. No one helping. The store is quite cramped as well.

If I could give them 1 star I would.. the crew working tonight specific 2 girls a girl wt glasses standing by the register on personal social media/internet exploring being rude to customers or even offering to help nor answer the questions on the items we came to shop for is totally lack of customer service! What's worst is that people without jobs are coming here to buy food for their pets either they have employment or not, pets still need to be fead. Yet people are Loosing jobs over and over companies are closing and you see some type of workers with such attitude, something is really wrong !!! I would never shop here again!!! I ran into my neighbor who recently lost her job of 21 years her co closed and I offered to also but food for her dogs...I literally choose to drive down to the Orange PerSmart just not allowing such staff to disrespect us!!! So rude....what a Monday Crew!!! Unbelievable!!!

My father, brother, and I came to this place back in September of 2020 during that heatwave. The store was awesome and this place is also the best place to get pet supplies and to look at animals. How convenient is that? It's also the best place to look at the animals, like the mice, fish, and a long-tailed chinchilla. This place also sells exotic animals, like those lovely parrots, ball pythons (yikes), and those creepy-looking lizards. What made my heart jumped with joy is that at that time that I went to this place, there were kittens. I mean that's every cat lover's dream. I was so excited when I saw those kittens. I looked at the tabby kittens with a look of joy on my face. There's also little holes where you could touch the kitten if the kitten is near those holes. I also noticed that there were these girls that were looking at this white kitten with joy on their faces. They also took pictures of that kitten with their smartphones. I shrugged it off, thinking that white cat must be aggressive (watched a video about an angry white cat, still scars me to this day). So after those girls left, I decided to inspect the white kitten and trying to overcome my fear. There were also these tags that were used to label the kittens. I took one look at them one little fact on that name-tag got me more excited and happy. It turns out that this white kitten wasn't any ordinary white kitten. It was actually a Flame-pointed Siamese cat. I was so excited that I called my father and brother over. My brother was excited and my father wasn't excited (Don't ask why). I told two employees, a male employee and a female employee, about the cat. I told both of them that the flame point cat that they are selling was a Siamese cat. They both told me that the cat that they had wasn't a Siamese cat. They both told me that a Siamese cat has to be the ones that have dark points at their face, paws, and tail, kind of like the ones you might find in the movie The Lady and the Tramp. But as a Siamese cat lover/fan who frequently researches about this awesome breed. I recognized it like a professional expert. Also, those two employees didn't realized that the cat that their store is selling is a very rare Siamese cat breed. They are scarce and difficult to find. How lucky is that? It's really awesome! The reason why they are rare is because, according to a Google search that I did, the flame coloring point is difficult to find in a cat. To Petco and their employees, you are super duper lucky. I bet that whoever purchased that Flame-pointed Siamese cat is a very, very lucky person without realizing it was a rare Siamese cat breed. What even makes it more fun and awesome are that Siamese cats have dog-like personalities and they are awesome. Also fun fact, according to Thai superstition, owning a Siamese cat (any kind of Siamese cat breed) would give you good luck. I'm not Thai, but Vietnamese. About my old review (because I have some simple questions for the owner): Apparently, I wrote on my former Yelp account about the Flame-point Siamese cat. The owner of this store wrote something about the "pricing of their animals is based on which class I attended". What does that mean? The owner also mentioned that they can't wait to see me at their next training session. What does that mean? Doesn't that mean that the owner wants to hire me, all because of a simple Yelp review that I made a few months ago?

This evening my family along with my pet decided to go to Petco and I have to say that I will never be returning, We are trying to socialize our pet and he was barking alot but I was calming him down when the barking would happen. I checked out and stopped to look at the kittys at the front of the store. My dog started barking again and the cashier told me that I needed to leave because my pet was being rude. I thought Petco was a pet friendly store but I guess not. So sad that Petco lost a customer over this.
