This location is a one stop shop , from grocery store to restaurant this place has got us covered on Asian /East Asian necessities. Lately I have been frequenting this place every time I am in the OC area because of their grocery items and GRANDMAS KITCHEN selection of hot foods. A glance in the kitchen and it's grandma inside cooking. I always opt for 3 items. The rice here is cooked to perfection . and tryna different item each time it's seasonal. From eggplants to catfish to beef this establishment always surprises me . The service is family style. Thank you FAM

I started dining here in 2001. I've given this establishment my business for well over 10 years. It once was a great place to sit down and enjoy lunch. However, times AND people do change. The politeness & respect that I've given the owner and her mother is not reciprocated and I no longer view this business as a comfortable place to dine. The staff, as a whole, is very curt and short. It's not a language barrier either; they have the mentality that if you don't come in to dine, someone else will. There's a real Holier-Than-Thou attitude that is presented to the guests these days. I've definitely seen it and felt it. There are better alternatives to Thai Laos Food/Market in Orange County. Needless to say, I won't be returning.

This is my favorite Lao spot in OC! The staff is super nice and the restaurant itself was very clean. It's a small joint that is connected to a market where you can find all of your favorite Lao sauces. At the restaurant we ordered papaya salad (thum Thai) but definitely getting the Lao version next time, crispy rice, pad Thai, Lao sausage, beef jerky and sticky rice. Oh and can't forget the Sakoo that was ready on the table to grab along with other tasty treats. Everything was fresh, flavor and authentic! High recommend!

Believe the hype!! Thank you fellow Yelpers and YouTubers for recommending this gem! It's very short and to the point in terms of the choices but the flavors are incredible!! Get the 3 choice combo for sure. We also ordered the papaya salad ala carte. The food was so amazing we ordered the basil beef and a 2 combo to go! The curries and the basil chicken were fantastic. The flavors reminded me of eating in Thailand. No doubt we will be back!

My Laotian friend introduced me to this place many years ago and ordered a bunch dishes I probably would never order on my own but they are now my must have favorites. All the dishes are exceptional but my top 2 favorites are the Crispy Rice Toss Salad. If you like lettuce wraps you will love this salad. It is crunchy from the flavorful fried rice mixed into the salad. The Pork Belly Fried Rice is really good too. OC register did a great review. Link is attached.

Bring cash because this place has so many goodies to buy and try. Food was delicious! Had catfish with basil and egg with sour sauce!! It seems I came at the tail end of lunch rush so some options were running low, but I really enjoyed what I had. So fresh and tasty! I was looking for sticky rice cooker and mortar/pestle. I will be back.

Amazing Thai food for cheap!!! I can't believe how cheap it was. The waitress let me try a sample of almost every entree they had for the lunch special and all of them were so delicious that I couldn't narrow them down to just three. I'll definitely be back to try a full serving of the other entrees.

This review is for the RESTAURANT. Ambiance is an afterthought here, but the food is delicious! Everything that we had was good, but the thing that really stood out to me was the Tom Yum soup with mushrooms and shrimp. I'm not normally one to rave about soup, but this broth was just incredibly deep with flavor and hit all of the notes perfectly! We also really enjoyed the Crying Tiger steak, as well as papaya salad (both Thai and Lao style), raw shrimp salad, lao sausage, house ribs, fried rice with beef, and Pad Thai. Unfortunately, it was not the season for mango and sticky rice, so I'll have to try that on another visit.

I had the seafood pho at the restaurant connected to market, but swelled up the next day, so there must have been MSG in the soup or maybe it was the fish sauce. I like that there is a market next door where you can buy things you can't find in a regular grocery store. Keep in mind, you have to pay everything in CASH ONLY.

I’ve been many many years ago when I lived in the area, I’m glad to see that it is still around. My mom moved close to here so we went after our Massage a few doors down to buy some groceries. The restaurant/deli area is air-conditioned with a glass door separating both, asking you to keep the door closed. The grocery area is natural air.The downside is that everything is cash only so we had to watch our dollars. Got a few fresh items and then dry items plus Thai brooms from the grocery store. Highly recommend that you take your own bags.Convenient parking right in the front of the rundown strip mall. Small specialty shop so you can find your favorite Thai items you may not be able to get at the mainstream Asian markets.

I thought the food was just okay. The papaya was good but just a tad bit salty for my taste. The curry, jerky meat was a little too sweet. Their Jeow had an after taste that I couldn't tolerate. Their khaopiek and sausage was decent. That lady was not very welcoming. They accept cash only. Also there utensils and plates were not very clean. I do love how they have all their peppers available like garlic chili, thai chili in fish sauce, dried peppers.

Thai - Laos Market is a mini-market that has a restaurant connected to it's store - literally separated by a sliding glass-door. Am a fan of their takeout restaurant next door. The market side has some COOL finds for Thai/Laotian essential cooking needs that one won't find at larger Asian supermarkets; mostly non-perishable items with here and there fresh herbs, snacks, herbal medicine, cooking utensils etc. Service is friendly and parking is available right in front. The only down side is they are : CASH ONLY.

Great food and flavors! Service was excellent and will definitely go there again! Ordered the papaya and Lao sausage with sticky rice and felt like I was back home
