Very bad communication and rude behavior! I called to enroll my son, the lady who answered the call said she's the manager, she seemed very rude, I asked her if they own both Shining star and Magical Montessori day care and I don't know which one is better that's why I need the tour, she said there is nothing called better, it depends on where i live. I said i wanna tour, she Said she has no tours this week, I asked her how much is the tuitions fees, she said I don't know, let me call u back. She never did, I call back she tells me what time u want to enroll your son, so I can give u the tuitions fees. She didn't even bother calling back, she didn't even asked for my number. And the entire phone call she seemed very annoyed, rude and harsh that I felt I called detention center. This a day care, you should be nice and accommodating, not to mention those who take care of kids should be amazing, i doubt that anyone is ok in that day care, if this is the manager. He'll I am not taking my son there! (P.s, don't come around one day saying i didnt call like u responded to one of the bad reviews, I DID CALL AND I WILL write bad reviews for parents to see)

I called to get more information on a summer program AND for my child to be placed for permanent care as i got a call back they didn't want to let me know the name of this location but as i called the lady said and YELLED " we don't do daycare for 2 months " when i briefly would continue to explain i was looking for a long term location. HORRIBLE customer service probably calling all locations nearby this was one of the locations i wouldn't recommend taking your child to. I fear bringing my child to this type of establishment .

This review is for its sister school "Magical Star Montessori Preschool" located on Catherine Dr in AnaheimMy LO, was enrolled at the school from 7months-22months (16 months). I truly enjoyed having my LO enrolled at this school. I feel that their care and teaching style was able to help my LO excel in things like walking at 9 months, learning basic signs; like more and all done, and many other basic life skills, even the Spanish word for water. The staff were very nice and I could tell they cared about every individual child. No one was left unattended. Temperature checks were taken most mornings for check in and we were provided an activities sheet at the end of day at pick up. During Covid the staff all wore masks and limited walking your child to the classroom to minimize any risk to the LOs. This school was very affordable and accepted multiple ways of payments. If I could change one thing about this school, it would be more teacher/parent interaction. I say this because when my LO had an accident, I wouldn't be notified until pick up. I would have preferred to be notified immediately after my LO was cared for so that I could make the decision of picking them up early or not. Overall this school took amazing care of my LO and the only reason we ended our time there was because of distance, since we moved.Thank you so much Ms. Dayani and staff!!!

I would recommend this place to any momma looking for a safe place for their child. My son started daycare here nearly 3 years ago. I was very hesitant leaving him anywhere, especially a random daycare. I went based off reviews when it came down to choosing the right location, my son was barely talking and like any mom I was terrified. I trusted my 2 year old baby at this location, he is now 5 & off to kindergarten.. all the staff here is friendly, my son loves them all. He talks about them constantly at home, and tells me he loves them. I'm so sad to remove my son from this school to take him to a brand new school where we don't know the staff or children attending, I wish I could leave him here another year if I'm being completely honest, it's giving me anxiety to think I'm going through a new location all over again the same way i did when I first started bringing him to Shining star. My son learned SO much at this location, he's off to kindergarten and can read so many words, he sounds words out and can read and write small words. So impressive!!! He's only 5, and will start kindergarten knowing how to sound out every letter in the alphabet, he's great with math and now can spell short syllable words. I love this place and I'm so thankful to be able to have such a great daycare where my son and I felt comfortable ! I'm going to miss the staff, & hope nothing but the best for this location!

I love this school so far and the staff , but mainly the director Mrs. Dayani she’s a sweetheart who made my kids and myself feel so welcome from the start . I had a horrible experience at my previous daycare happy hippo but they made my life much easier especially as a single mom it sometimes gets hard and they are here to help not add stress ❤️ Thank you so much .

I’ve had my kiddo here for 3 years or so.. starting with day care and now school. Great balance of learning and playtime. The hours work great for drop off and pickup since I work full time. Would definitely recommend!

I've had my kiddo here for about 3 years and have been pleased with everything. Great staff and communication from teachers, etc. The drop off and pickup hours were great for my full time work schedule and the pricing is great too!

I highly recommend this preschool! Great staff who deeply care for the children. They have done a wonderful job teaching my child and I'm very happy with his learning development progress. Thank you, Mrs. Dayani!

Hello all! It's been a while since i updated on this review and i will ALWAYS come back and re-iterate how terrible this place is! I see she is still in "business" even with this having some recent not so positive reviews.. and it truly breaks my heart! I still drive by here when running errands sometimes... and it curls my skin at the thought of innocent babies being "taken care of" here. All i Can say to new parents who will be touring this place, please DO NOT BE FOOLED, the owner and staff are devils in sheep's clothing. Now a days there's Too many children out here in this world being mistreated. These type of establishments shouldn't be ones we as parents should worry about. Look elsewhere! A legit school that both emotionally, and academically nurture to your child. Your child is with it! Best wishes, Jenn

My children both attended Montessori School in another state and I am very familiar with Maria Montessori's methods and the great education and support they received. I spoke to a gentleman named Kaye (or Kay) today at this school and based on the conversation we had and the lack of self control he displayed I would not want to even visit this school, let alone let my kids attend. I see another review from a woman who says she "cringes" every time she drives by and I can understand. What kind of Montessori school teacher or administrator bursts into a tirade of profanity to a complete stranger on the phone? This seems just bizarre to me having the highest regard for this type of education and all the teachers I have encountered in the past. Be very careful here.

Hello, so I was driving on 91 today and my 3 month old daughter started crying in the car so I had to take an emergency exit and find a place to feed her. i took the next exit which happened to be harbor blvd and parked into the first establishment I saw and was glad it was a preschool. I went to the backseat and fed my baby, took about 15 mins or so when the lady from inside decided to come out and asked me to leave and said I could not nurse and use up their parking spot, which if I failed to mention was completely empty. My car being the only one there at the time. I mentioned I was feeding and only took 15 mins and yet was asked to leave rudely. Now is this the type of preschool you want your kids to attend? You would think that being an establishment that is meant for babies and kids in general would be more understanding that how sometimes it is a struggle for a mother and they have to pull over to nurse, instead asks you to leave rudely and not come back.

My son and I have really enjoyed being part of the Shining Star Montessori family over the last few years. Ms. Dayani is a wonderful director with many years of experience. My only wish is that they would put more emphasis on potty-training. The reason I chose Shining Star above other schools is because of the warm, welcoming, and home-like atmosphere. During my tours, other pre-schools felt sterile and too regimented. Shining Star has a relaxed teaching program and a large outdoor yard and playground my son loves.

This is the best daycare in Southern California. My family tried Chino Hills, Irvine, and looked at so many daycares and finally struck gold here. The director Dayani really cares about the kids. How many daycare does the director actually get involved with the kids. My son loves being here and they live up to the Montessori standards. It's easy to miss driving by. It looks empty but it's very active. Super secure. You must call before touring. I highly recommend.

My cousin comes to this school and loves it. She learns how to interact with other kids and use her voice. I see so many kids eager to learn and play with other kids. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a preschool!!

Our daughter has been at Shining Star for a year and we could not be happier. We noticed a tremendous change in her vocabulary and social skills in a very short time thereafter. The staff is very caring and friendly and my daughter loves them. Mrs Dayani is a great communicator, she always tells us haw she did and what we can do at home to implement the things they are being thought and the center. We are planning to keep our daughter in this facility until she goes to school. My husband and I are fully recommending Shining Star to all the parents out there that want their kids to be well cared for and to be learning things that we sometimes do not have the time at home to do so.I am adding to my post one year later and we are just as pleased and happy with the preschool. My daughter is happy and eager to go back every morning. The school is her home away from home. The staff is friendly and she loves all her teachers. The school has activities and performances and a dancing class on Thursday mornings.
