Participated in a pet adoption event here, where this organization pays for the pet adoption fees to help veterans find a doggie companion.Absolutely admirable organization.AND veterans can get free furniture and house goods.I will definitely be recommending people to donate here as well as recommending to veteran that need help.

The home furnishings they give to veterans for free! Please donate your new/usable goods to them please. They are doing a fabulous service and need more support! They are one of the few non profit organizations that I recommend 100%!

I'm a retired 74-year-old U.S. Army Veteran. The other day, Patriots & Paws helped furnish my 1-bedroom apartment. They saved me $5,000 retail value in the furnishings I received. A 7' couch, Barcalounger rocking recliner, bookcase, record cabinet, dinning table with 6 chairs, microwave stand. They have supported me for the better part of 12 years.

I have dontated to Patriots and Paws several times over about 7 years, and I will continue to do so. Sometimes I request pick up, sometimes I drop off. This is a wonderful organization started, maintained by basically ONE PERSON. Understand that this is 100% run by volunteers and they are very busy, so don't expect a red carpet rolled out because you think you're doing them a favor by donating. PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITEEverything you need to know about donating items is on the website. This is not a "get rid of unsold garage sale stuff" dumping place. Our veterans have EARNED AND DESERVE to have good quality items for their home. I don't think that's too much to ask. Patriots and Paws have a right to be picky about what they accept because everything is done by volunteers. They don't have time to sort out junk that you want to get rid of. If you call for pick up, plan to wait about a month. Itemize EVERY item because they basically have to make sure they have room in the truck. Please be a part of the efficient process to help things run smoothly. READ AND UNDERSTAND THE INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE. All the posters complaining about a rude woman....I'd like to see you acomplish and maintain what she has done for YEARS. You couldn't handle one day of what this amazing woman does, so YOU take YOUR attitude and please go somewhere else. It's all about the veterans. Please get that into your thick scull. It's very simple; READ AND UNDERSTAND THE INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE. Let me say it again, its all about the veterans.
