We bought 5 trees at a discount and after two weeks we received the trees, but the trees were no longer the same as when we ordered. Looking closely, there were many black mushrooms and black worms on the trees... it looked terrible!

I could not have had a worse experience. If you are English speaking only they do not want your business. As soon as I asked them a question they said no speak English and pointed me to leave.

I love this nursery for specializing in tropical and South-East Asian varietals... trees and plants which grow well in the California climate. When I talk to the attendant, they know their varieties. Last time, I wanted a mango tree. They have so many varieties that I asked for help in selecting one for sweetness and adaptability to Long Beach. The attendant not only picked out which variety he recommended, but also pulled out the strongest, most producing plant for me. I also sought help when I wanted peaches to come to fruit sequentially. He picked out one for early June, one later in June and one for early July. Today, I'm getting a Kaffir lime and am headed over there now.

I stumbled upon this nursery after eating pho down the street. There are plenty of Asian plants, somethings you don't see at a Home Depot or Lowes. I picked up a Chinese Lantern tree. Still a seedling and waiting for it to get bigger. Very unique looking tree. I'll be looking to go back and seeing what other plants they will have available.

Large variety. Huge lot. Don't expect to have a ton of people there to help you. Ask them at the front if you have any questions and they'll show you.

Magnolia Gardens Nursery offers a wide selection of herbs, ornamental flowering trees, and Asian fruit trees. For example, there are cherimoya, dragon fruit, jujube, guava, plumeria, and flowering peach trees. Prices depend on the size of the pot but the pots themselves are not labelled so you need to ask an employee for a price check. I purchased the smallest grafted cherimoya tree they offered for $85. The plant pot was wrapped up in a trash bag and loaded into my car. There is limited interaction with the employees. You're left on your own to wander the grounds. Also, the place is easy to miss as there wasn't a sign that I could see while driving. The small gravel lot is surrounded by wired fences.

Two grafted trees I bought stopped growing and died. The two trees didn't heal properly at the graft and leaves just kept dropping. That's a loss of approximately $200!!! Very disappointed! I don't have much trouble with other nursery trees as much as I had with the Magnolia Nursery. Of course, there's no such thing as warranty and returns here. So buy at your own caution.

This place is humongous! Prices are reasonable, probably lower than other garden centers. Pick a plant that you want, ask the seller for the price & pay. The seller most likely will not follow you around to offer their help because this place is very big; if you have a question, look for her and ask . Don't expect to have the service that you get at an American garden centers. I got my Chinese Lantern plant here & I'm very happy. I will come back again.
