Can you imagine an ideal world where people of all races and nationalities live peacefully together? Well here you have it. "It's a Small World" is a colorful and lively attraction where you get on a boat that takes you on a magical tour around the world. The tour lasts around 9 to 10 minutes. And let me tell you, it is worth all the waiting. In my case, my family and I waited 25 minutes. In conclusion, I just have to say that "It's a Small World" is one of the best attractions at the Disneyland Resort.

This is a classic ride. I love the fact that this ride is for everyone. You can be 6 months old and ride it or you can be 90 and ride it. Either way it is enjoyable for all ages. On a hot day this is the best place to be because the air conditioning is great :-) if you just need a break from standing on your feet this is also a great ride to pick because it's very relaxing and there's just a lot of beautiful things to look at. I love all of the upgrades throughout the years and the fact that they include more mainstream Disney characters within the different worlds. Overall definitely check it out if you have never been to disneyland. This is definitely a huge staple of the park.

I only enjoy this ride for the cool AC and for a place to close my eyes and take a nap, otherwise this ride isn't up spectacular and could down right be a nightmare I'm some instances because the song just keeps repeating over and over and over again in different languages... It would be horrible to be trapped in this ride for more than the intended duration.

No visit to Disneyland is complete without a whirl on 'It's A Small World'! To be upfront, yes, it's cheesy and suited towards little ones, but it also brings out the inner child in you, so just do it!The 'Children of The World' ride premiered at the New York World's Fair in 1964, then moved to Disneyland in 1966. The original idea was to have each featured country's national anthem played, a seemingly good idea on paper but sounded like a disaster in real time when they were played at once. Sherman brothers (Robert & Richard) were hired to write a song that could be sung in the same tune but translated into the different languages. 'It's A Small World' song was born and the attraction's name changed as well.EXPERIENCE:The queue line is brutal especially during the day as it's outdoors and uncovered. You can hear the infamous jingle when approaching the tunnel on the boat, and it won't stop until the end! LOL. This is the most unattractive part of the ride as you're greeted with cheesy cardboard cutouts of characters, with the sides of the flume and soundstage equipment visible due to the sun shining in, but it doesn't last long. And, you'll be glad to finally be out of the sun. You're treated to 1960's-era twirling animatronics and decor, but it still works. The further in you go, the more detailed the architecture, clothing, and themes seem to get and actually becomes enjoyable. Continents and countries blend together with changing scenes of toy soldiers, turning windmills, bobbing hot air balloons, famous landmarks, flying carpets, snake charmers, bowing people, elephants, pandas, acrobats, camels, you name it! Even my home state of Hawaii has a shoutout via an "Aloha" sign and hula dancers in a Polynesian setting! A bit stereotypical but the little ones will love it. For adults it's more of an entertaining chuckle. Some modern Disney characters also make an appearance (an afterthought that looks very out of place) including Aerial from The Little Mermaid, Woody from Toy Story, and Nemo from Finding Nemo. The ride concludes with cardboard cutout farewell postcards before you're back in the blazing sun.OVERALL:Try it once as a kid and once as an adult, that should be good enough.

It's a Small World is a tranquil boat ride with a slow pace, featuring an abundance of decorative dolls to admire. Anyone, regardless of height or age, can board the ride. During the holidays, Disney transforms the theme and incorporates additional festive decorations.

#55 Review for 2024 4.5 Stars**** **A Timeless Journey Through Nostalgia!** "Visiting 'It's a Small World' at Disneyland always feels like stepping into a time capsule of pure joy! This iconic attraction holds a special place in my heart, flooding me with nostalgia every time I set foot inside. Visiting during Christmas time is pure Magic. The intricate display of animatronics is nothing short of mesmerizing; each figure beautifully captures the essence of diverse cultures, bringing them to life in such a magical way. What's truly incredible is how it manages to retain its charm trip after trip; it's a testament to Disney's commitment to excellence and timeless storytelling. The familiar tune echoing throughout the ride feels like a warm embrace from childhood, making it impossible not to hum along. It's remarkable how 'It's a Small World' has this unique ability to transport visitors across cultures and generations, leaving smiles on faces young and old. No matter how many times I've experienced it, the wonder and enchantment remain intact. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful journey through the heartwarming past. Kudos to Disneyland for maintaining such a cherished gem that never fails to brighten spirits!" Happy travels and endless nostalgia await at 'It's a Small World'!"

Great ride. I was told the ride featured a naked man cliff diving but he was nowhere to be found. Maybe he had COVID.

The $30 fast pass is worth it for at least one day to get in all the popular long wait attractions - then you can relax and visit all the other stuff

IF dolls scare you, then don't go on this ride lolol Animated dolls from around the world lol Riders beware: You will get the song stuck in your head lol This ride is great for all ages. It's an easy ride. You just float in the water and enjoy the animatronics. This is an older ride. It probably needs an update. But it is a chill and relaxing ride (as long as you don't have any issues with dolls lol). The ride feels like it takes a while because you float so slow, but it takes about roughly 15 minutes I believe. It is fun to see all the cultures represented and how they portray each one on the ride. The idea is that we are all connected and human. I wouldn't wait a long time for this ride- not worth it. But if there is little to no wait, then sure why not? I'm waiting for a 2024 update to this ride that includes LGBTQIA+

Who says this ride is only for kids to enjoy? Who are you kidding? I'm an adult but I consider this to be my favorite ride in Disneyland. I'd been in this ride many, many times before but I still make it a point to do it every single time I get to visit the park. A visit won't be complete until I ride o the boat that goes on a magical ride in this small world. I truly enjoy watching the tiny dolls singing and dancing with lively music. I enjoy it even more during the holiday season when the lights and overall decor are prettier and livelier.

A very nostalgic feel good ride. The normal version is nice but this time we came in time to see it with its Christmas theme. In my opinion the Disney team has perfectly combined the classic ride with a Christmas twist. Christmas doesn't make the ride unrecognizable and they include various other winter time holidays. It can get very busy during the day so I'd recommend either using a fast pass/lighting lane/genie (or whatever they call it these days) or coming shortly before closing. Since the exciting part is indoors it's good to save daylight for other rides. Oh and if you wait till dark you get to see it all lit up!This will always be a favorite for my family. ❤️
