Asked them to price a mid-grade paint and was quoted X. When we went to ultimately purchase, the pricing was higher. We had ultimately decided on DE over Sherwin Williams due to cost based on their initial quote but in the end, they were similar and we wish we'd stuck with SW because they had a color we loved. DE tried color matching the SW color twice but they weren't able to get a close enough match so we ultimately decided on a completely different color. Expensive purchase.

You can't get better service than this Dunn Edwards. We've probably spent $3K in paint over last year. Shane - the color consultant - has been invaluable with his recommendations. Really happy with these guys.

I walked into this store at 10:01 am on a Sunday to purchase a sample of paint only to find out 2 hours and 18 miles later that the employee, Hector, gave me the wrong color. When I called to tell him he said he must have entered the wrong color code. The store was closing in just over an hour and considering I needed to decide on a color in two days and the color Dunn Edwards offered was my #1 choice, I had to drive the 18 miles back to the store. When I walked in, Hector gave me the sample. I told him I spent more in gas driving back for my $5.27 sample because of his mistake. Hector offered no apology. No offer of a refund. He just stood there and stared at me. He's bad for this business. My suggestion is to always check the labels before paying for your product.

My wife and I went to this store and had a good idea of the colors we wanted, and Shane recommended 3 colors that suited our needs. He knows his stuff and advised us which colors might have too much of a hue that we didn't want (yellow, blue, etc.). Shane took his time to assist us and we are very happy with the 3 color recommendations he made, and we are using them all. Oh, the store is really clean and modern, and the paint mixing team is totally pro.

They are very helpful if you are a contractor but if you're a private owner wanting to get paint, it's a little difficult. They don't have information to educate the non-contractor which makes it hard to figure out what paint to get. HD has much better customer service.

I went to Dunn Edwards paint store on Santa Ana canyon in Anaheim hills probably 4-5 times. I was having difficulty matching a paint. every one was great with exception of the last and final visit to this store. the first time I had the store samples and numbers of the paint I needed. the paint did not match. after that I tried to match the paint samples off my wall that were to small. wish that was explained earlier. the last time before the visit from hell, the man at the counter said I needed a larger sample like 1"x1". the counter employee was very nice and indicated because I was having problems told me he would give the next paint for free. I went home and removed a sample by cutting it from the wall. (desperate). I returned with the cut out. I talked to a female counter person. she went back and got a young man with a full head of hair without out a mask and a head band. store rules required a masks to enter. he started interrogating me as to who was behind the counter when the offer for a free can of paint. like I was lying to him. i did not get one. I explained my story showed the 1"x1" cut out. he was determined not to assist me. he knew of my problem and basically ignored my statements . I showed him with my fingers how many I had been there. he acknowledged with his fingers. I asked him during my heated argument just to match the larger sample. he ignored me with silence. it's hard to explain however his attitude was so intense I used profanities that I am not proud of. I in anger I tossed him the paint and left stating I would never darken their door step again. My frustration grew visiting the store at least 5 times, having to cut my wall. not an easy thing for me to at 74 years old. every one in that store was helpful, not one problem with the exception of the last employee. russ
