Do not rent a car from this agency - we had reserved a car 4 months ahead of our trip only to receive a call 2 hours before we we were scheduled to pick it up saying it wasn't available. They offered us another car, but it wouldn't have worked based on where we were going. We were left stranded at a hotel with two children and no option other than to scramble to find a new rental at the last minute. We ended up going with a different agency. I understand that things like this happen and it can be out of the agency's control if someone doesn't return a car on time, but the rudeness that I dealt with on the phone was completely uncalled for. The guy tried to compare me being stranded with two kids and having to scramble last minute to him having a bad morning at work. He talked down to me as if I was a child and when I asked if there was anything else they could do or try, he was like well I tried to give you the customer service number, but you didn't want it (meanwhile, all I had said was - are there any other options or things we could try). I was told by him and another agent when I called back that they would keep us updated and we'd be the first people they would call when a car came in, but we never heard from them again. Use Enterprise in Anaheim instead - they were fantastic and helped us out last minute.

*UPDATE to my 5/17/23 Post* I was SO bothered by the funky smell of the car we rented (there's only so long that one can tolerate someone else's funky smell) and the seat stains were just too much to ignore, so I used a little car upholstery cleaner and elbow grease and cleaned the seats - which also freshened the smell of the interior of the car. *I added an 'After' pic of the seat - looks and smells so much better!!

Worst rental experience ever. They did not have my reserved vehicle. They were also very rude. I spent $30 on an uber getting here

Beware of this place. The agent first tried to "upgrade" me to an F-150 pickup truck and then could not find any cars for me. Then he offered me a smaller car than I had reserved, only to find it was dirty. I finally ended up with the car I reserved, that he said he could not rent out because it needed an oil change. The car ran well but was very scratched up.

Had booked a car through Expedia , when I arrived I was told car has not been returned and there are no other cars available . The person I dealt with did not offer any solutions other than saying that's the way it is , tough luck. Being tourist in America we didn't have much choice than to change all our plans , I would never use them again.I was not offered another car , upgrade or downgrade or any effort to find a solution . The budget rep started talking to the next person after telling me with a smile that no car was available .

I prepaid for a 4Runner or something close to it a couple days before my rental date. I work at a hospital and couldn't make it early to pick up my car, I got there at 4:40pm, 20 minutes before they close. Unfortunately I lost my DL but have pictures on my phone. This sales associate Matt gets on the phone and calls the owner. Owner says it's ok if I have my passport on me. I live half a mile from this car rental and asked if I could drive home really fast to get it, he says no, he can't because he doesn't get paid over time and cannot wait for me, by the time I get back "he will be gone" are his exact words. I cannot believe this moron has the nerve to tell me that he doesn't get paid over time pay and won't wait for me. This is how this place treats their customers. I couldn't believe this shit. I prepaid a few days in advance. I asked what my options were and he just said "sorry," I'm not getting paid overtime to help you so I can't stay. I couldn't believe my ears. I will never rent again from this place. If you want to get treated like shit, please, come here, they specialize in doing that. Oh also I was told by Matt that Dale is the owner, I'm speaking to Dale right now and he says he's not the owner, he's only the manager. So not only do they treat their customers like shit, they lie to you. This poor guy (another customer) had a reservation that's been paid for also and they told him sorry we sold your rental to someone else. This idiot Matt is a liar, and clearly is a reflection on this company.

If I could leave a zero, I would. I had a reservation early in the morning to pick up a car before rushing to work. I was given a car that reeked of cigarette smoke, and requested a change. I was told this was their last car and being that I needed to get to work, I told them I was concerned about being charged for the cigarette smell. The guy told me that he would sign off on my receipt and it would not be held responsible. Of course a week later after returning the car, we were charged $500 for the smell! I contacted the manager and was told they would take care of it. A week goes by and nothing. I decided to go see her in person, and was greeted by the same guy who originally signed off on the smell. I asked to speak to the manager, and he claimed to be the manager. I saw the business card and it had a female name on it, and questioned him about it, which he said well that's his wife and basically since she's the manager, so is he. I finally got in touch with the actual manager and again she promised to take care of it. Another couple weeks go by and nothing, so we call Avis corporate and forwarded them all our signed off receipts regarding the smell. They concluded they would "help" as a "courtesy" by refunding half! Wow! We had to file a claim on our credit card which finally resulted after months with them having to refund all of it back. Shame on the unethical couple running this place, shame on Avis for how they handled everything.

Rente un auto el cual lo recogí un día después y me querían hacerme una penalización por $175 dólares más; no contentos con eso, me cobraron 63 dólares por agregar un conductor extra, me tomaron de mi tarjeta 250 dólares más como depósito en caso de alguna "eventualidad " y no conforme de que entregue el auto lavado y aspirado; y que él que atiende el negocio me prometió un 25% de descuento; hoy me penalizaron con 45 dólares más. Lo que online juraban sería una deal de 708 dólares, se convirtió en más de 800 dólares. No les recomiendo en lo absoluto este lugar.

This was a corporate rental so the procedure is a little different than a normal rental. Went in showed them my credentials and they upgraded my car to something a little nicer than I was expecting. Returning the vehicle tomorrow morning so if there's any problem and I'll come back and edit my review.

I was called by this company at 4:58 PM the night before I was supposed to pick up my rental car. While I was at Disneyland. They said they didn't have a car for me and that I was out of luck. It was 4:58 PM on a Friday. So Budget''s customer service was closed. This lot is garbage. They didn't bother looking for a car or offer any help at all. The only way I found a car was by going through Expedia and getting another car through Budget about 10 miles away at the John Wayne Airport.

Charges extra on there mistake. No one picks up the phone. Very rude! Try's to charge $40.00 gas without looking at gage or pulling file out! People make sure you look at your receipt because this person is very tricky he likes money so he would do anything to get it!

Do not rent your car here. The people that work here (manager) feel that what customer service tells you does not represent what he says. He charged for a extra day. Customer service said as long as I can I drop it off before 12 am I am good and he said no. Showed him the call and everything and he said that's customer services that's not me. "I can't go back in time" Giving me some existential crap. Don't rent here. Will be calling my CC company and BBB

Classic neighborhood location with wonderful people who remember you by name. Service is top notch. I've been returning to this place since 2013 because they always have my reservation ready for me to drive, and it's almost always an upgraded car from what I reserved. Highly recommended.

Beware...this location's customer service/policies are an utter joke. I booked a reservation a week in advance and when I arrived to pick up my rental car, the agent at the front desk asked me for my DL and credit card. Five minutes later he informed me that the name on my DL and credit card did not match. What didn't match wasn't my name, it was the fact that I have two last names (a paternal and maternal last name), one of which I don't regularly use. People of Hispanic origin typically have two last names and the agent at this location refused to accept my credit card because it didn't match name for name what was on my driver's license. Ridiculous...utterly ridiculous. I've rented cars from this location for at least 5 years with another agent that was so gracious and hospitable that I kept on coming back, and I have never been refused service because of this. Obviously, that agent is no longer here and as a result I will never return. I then provided the agent with a debit card matching name for name what was on my DL. The agent ran my debit card and then told me that the system required my social security number so they could run a credit report. I refused because I've had my ID stolen before and I don't provide just anyone my SSN. The agent told me that there was nothing he could do and just like that my family's weekend vacation was ruined. I recommend that you never do business with this location. Obviously, they're sticklers for details and want to know everything about you before they rent you a car. The kicker: at one point during this entire debacle, the agent was skeptical that I was the person on my DL and asked me to remove my mask so that he could match the photo with the person. Insulting. I'm renting a car not Air Force One, cut me some slack. Terrible policies. You lost a customer Avis.
