I had a kitty that passed away the end of November. We rescued a kitty couple weeks later that we were told had a clean bill of health. He did not. Original vet we took him to did alright, but he just wasn’t getting better. Took him to Anchor and found out he had a sort of rare type of infection affecting his ear. This doctor had not had a similar case in seven years. I was made aware that this doctor performs surgeries at night and with that l left Brutus in their care for the night. The next day I was told that his surgery was a challenge, but it was also a success. He cares about every animal he sees within his practice. He explains in detail what is wrong and a plan of action for getting your fur-baby healthy. His staff is compassionate and competent. I am grateful this veterinarian is here for my boy. They are amazing. THANK YOU!

i had a four month old puppy vomiting and shaking and all they told me was “we stop taking walk ins at 3” and “here’s a list of hospitals in the area.” i’m shocked this is a place that cares for animals with the level of coldness & lack of care they treated me and the puppy with.

We've been coming here for years and have always received kind, informative and affordable care. The wait times are long, even with appointments but we know the doctor takes his time with each pet and are appreciative when it's our turn. Unfortunately, we had to put our dog down today. We saw the posted hours are from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays, so we arrived at 7:30 to make sure we could be seen. 8:15am rolls around and the doors are still closed and one of the girls let's me know the vet won't arrive until maybe 9:45am... it's very disappointing.

Seems like he has many people who really like bringing their pets here. They seem knowledgeable and helpful to pet parents. I'm knowledgeable of the health of my pet and take his recommendations with your educated mind and pocket book in check. It's the pet parent that should have the final say and decision. Do what is medically needed, not what is suggested. It's great to have their services in every emergency. The waiting room is full. Most of all, the pets don't show a sign of distrust here. May all your pets live long and have trust to those who can help them in their time of need!

Wonder place to take your pets. Make an appointment and understand they are busy and high volume place. I promise you won't find a place with better prices. I got a dental exam, cleaning, and two small teeth pulled from my dog Daisy. All at 1/8th the cost from other locations. Note to book an exam first and than follow up teeth cleaning to get a good appointment date.

Where do I start?? I asked for rabies vaccine and got something else (flu shot) two months ago. Dog is now in pain—called them and got hung up on twice. Texted them and emailed them requesting appointment and no reply. Too bad animals can’t sue.

Dr. Kim is very knowledgeable and compassionate towards pets. He takes time to explain to you thoroughly. You can see that he really cares about his patients and works very hard to make sure that they receive the best care. Would definitely recommend Anchor Animal Hospital.

Bad service! I won’t be coming here again! Our cat was dropped off at 10 am in the morning and we did not receive a call about her till 7:45 pm saying she’s next in line for surgery! (We tried calling before that but no one picked up the phone). We waited till 12:00 am and they still had not taken her into surgery! No one answers the phone, we live 30 minutes away so we had to drive all the way to the clinic to check on our cat, we thought something wrong happened to her! And at 12:00 am we were finally able to get in to the clinic and we were shocked when they told us AGAIN “she’s next”. And now they’re keeping her overnight and she won’t be done till tomorrow!Come here if you want to wait 2 days to get your pet simply neutered!

Overpriced Orange County vet that cares more about profit than animals. Their TNR rates are abysmal, they never answer their phones, and they are not friendly to fosters or rescues. There are a lot of vets like this in Orange County that charge a lot because they can, and because people falsely equate 'more expensive' to 'better service', when that's just not true most of the time.

I’ve used Anchor for more than a decade now. Be VERY CAREFUL with this place, and despite it being relatively cheaper than other vets, remember YOU ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If you do visit this place, make sure to receive a second opinion from another vet on any serious diagnosis or lack of one if you visibly see signs of health problems in your pet.Be it a case of incompetence or simple negligence, from my experience I can’t attest to the doc’s trustworthiness, competence, or even care for animals in general.Full story:My dog had breathing problems starting this year and received a diagnosis from Anchor that she had seasonal allergies and received medication for it. It got worse a couple days later and when we visited another vet, it turned out my dog had pulmonary edema and Anchor had misdiagnosed. When I confronted Anchor about this the doc checked again and nonchalantly admitted that my dog had a heart issue but that it wasn’t a case of edema. I took his word but took my dog in every other week since her condition wasn’t improving.During every Anchor visit, the doc insisted that there was nothing wrong. At one point, I noticed a bulge on my dog’s stomach and pointed it out to the doc, but once again he brushed it off as her being overweight. The breaking point was when my dog suddenly suffered from a cardiac arrest one night, at which point we rushed her to the emergency pet clinic. They confirmed that she had pulmonary edema (remember the original diagnosis from the other vet?), which was caused by a tumor in her abdomen (remember the bulge I pointed out?). We had to put her to sleep that same night because she was in so much pain.
