“Compared to Waterman Blvd for pharmacy alone we changed to American Canyon for reverse commute benifits.I wish I had changed years ago, the store is relatively modern, has a secure vibe, a gas station, the pharmacy personnel have all been super nice and I get a overall feeling of the place being run right.”

“Wanted an item and couldn’t find it in store but the cashier Jasmine showed me a really great deal online and was very knowledgeable about the specs on the wifi adapter I wanted. In a time where everything is artificial intelligence; it was good to come across a helpful human. Thank you Jasmine !”

“More self-checkout stands are open depending on the crowd. The self-checkout registers take cards and a few take cash. The staffed registers, up to 6, also take cash, check and credit card. During high traffic times, we may need to wait in line up to 15 minutes to check out.
I really like the buy online option, where you can schedule your drive up and the hourly pickup window. Usually this goes relatively quickly, depending on the queue. I then shop only for items that I usually look over, before buying at the registers. I don't know about in-store pickup. I should ask.”

“I don’t care what others may say…The pharmacy in Safeway/American Canyon is basically the BEST pharmacy in “AmCan”.I genuinely look forward to making more than small talk with the pharmac-techs AND pharmacists (—like Gloria!). I’ve always loved her demeanor honestly…She LEGIT makes me “know“ she DOES feel bad when my family’s insurance is taking longer than THEY should to approve a prescription refill or if the location is out of stock.Between peoples’ insurances being extremely strict (sometimes it’s valid reasons; most times it’s not) on WHEN they decide to get around to said approval, and the pharmaceutical warehouses being conveniently “lacking“ in supply on ONLY controlled medications (like Concerta), I could NEVER aspire to be a pharmacy tech even…Pretty sure ANYone (competent or no) get more flak than the bare minimum allegedly “deserved”, being in a position of keeping human society in mental check. I ALways make sure my “extended family“ know at least I acknowledge what they must go through.Being that I’ve heard OF entitled jerks via “r/slash” on YouTube, and knowing employees “have” to deal with verbal abuse from random customer, legitimately makes me WANT to tell someone like that off…Just like I did with my younger sister’s elementary school bully to basically keep in line or I’d MAKE him, I’ll be willing to fight for my extended family too…Too Long; Didn’t Read?:…Then actually READ it.”

“I have been consciously avoiding the Safeways, all of them. The last time I popped in, three of the items I checked were expired. I might have waved it off. Except the expiration date was from a year ago. Hopefully that was all Covid. This time when I popped in all of the expiration dates were just fine. Of course, i've been hearing all over yelp that shoplifters had literally gone wild in the Safeway stores. The store had built barricades of food and other items to slow down the shoplifters and the shoplifters just kept sailing through. I was very curious about this, but I noticed the registers and adjacent areas were free of barricades, so it looks like this spat of petty crime has been dealt with when someone grew a spine. I went through the store looking for signs of Covid shortages. Either they did a good job, spreading stuff out, or the shortages are over. I'm certainly happy, and plan to go back to my usual Safeway shopping pattern. Which is to pick up stuff that Costco doesn't sell once or twice a year. To be honest with the Safeway out of commission, I switched to Whole Foods because when you're buying stuff once or twice, a year, you can afford it no matter your budget. Napa is nice.”

“This place was conveniently located in the hotel area we were staying and made it a great place to pick up a few essentials we were missing. We went in the early morning so can't say how busy it is during the day.”
