Big thanks to the team at Walton's Auto Care in Alturas, California. My car broke down, and they really went above and beyond to help. Even though they were busy, they got my car in quickly, did a fast analysis, and explained everything when we found out it was a serious issue. Ken, Dustin, and Willy were incredibly helpful, even offering to drive me back to my hotel. In a tough situation, they were a huge relief. Highly recommend Walton's Auto Care!

I was up in Alturas for vacation and ended up having a problem with my Jeep where I was recommended to go see Ken.
When I showed up, the staff was very professional. After he went out of his way to help me on a very busy Tuesday morning. He moved stuff around to accommodate my needs and spent 45 minutes inspecting my Jee.
Even though we weren't able to correct the problem, he at least was able to put my mind at ease and got me back on the road and didn't charge me a dime.
Integrity is measured when nobody's looking and this shop has integrity. Highly recommended!

I was driving from Klamath Falls, OR to Reno, NV when about 20 minutes past Alturas, my serpentine belt snapped and left me stranded at the side of the road. I called a tow truck to take me back to Alturas, but then panicked because it was 3:45pm on a Friday afternoon. Walton's was the 3rd shop I called in Alturas and the 1st shop willing to help. At first, I didn't even know what belt had broken, but the mechanic on the phone helped me describe it and diagnose the problem so he could determine what part I needed as quick as possible. He found one in stock at Napa and quickly ordered it to have on hand for me. The tow truck didn't arrive until almost 4:30pm, but the mechanic at Walton's agreed to stay late (after 5pm) to complete the job and get me back on the road. I arrived at the shop only 5 minutes before closing, but the mechanic already had the part and completed the work right away. I was back on the road by 5:24pm.
This shop saved my weekend in Reno by going the extra mile and accommodating me in my emergency.

We were on a road trip when our RV had an engine warning light pop on. We called Walton's and they advised us we would be OK traveling and they would be able to check what was happening for us. They warned us that they may not be able to fix it today. When we arrived, they were the nicest, most thoughtful group of gentleman I have ever had the fortune to meet. Not only did they check what was happening, but they proceeded to fix the issue. They made sure to test along the way and they started with the least expensive problem it could be first. I highly recommend their service. Thank you Willy and company for your excellent help.

I was having idle issues with my 2015 jeep, over 200,000 miles, and had taken it to five previous shops. Each one of those five shops diagnosed a sensor and throttle replacement, one even diagnosed the transmission. The transmission did have issues, but come to find out from Walton's the engine was probably causing the transmission to malfunction. I'll never know because not being a mechanic I went with one of the previous diagnosis and had the transmission repaired to no avail. Waltons got in there found the problem and ordered parts and even came in on a day off to finish repairing it so I could get on the road. Really glad I stopped here .

Brake caliper seized up 25 miles out of town, not only did they get me on the road again by the end of the day but they were kind and understanding to boot.Breaking down near/in Alturas? My truck was making a bad clunking sound. On Labor day weekend, driving through Alturas, after stopping to eat. It was over 100 degrees out, and I was traveling back from Portland Oregon to Reno Nv with 2 puppies and my disabled daughter. The owner let us bring the truck in Tuesday morning and Vince was able to find a Hub in town to replace our broken one on my 2000 F350 and had it repaired by afternoon. Not only were they awesome enough to fix it, they charged me an honest price and he even called today, Wednesday, to make sure we made it home ok and to remind me to get my carrier bearing replaced as soon as possible. I highly recommend them, whether driving through, or if you live there. Honest mechanics like these folks are so hard to find these days Vince is awesome!Service: Steering & suspension replacement

I have had a great experience there, Bill knows a great deal, and James is very nice and cheerful, the office worker is also great, new employee don't know his name all great had helped me a lot will be going back, I found the place that knows what they're doing & good atmosphere
