Best hotel in Alturas!Friendly sign in, clean rooms, beautiful biscuits and gravy breakfast ? and wi fi!We love coming here often to get away from the off grid lifestyle where we live an hour away in the mountains. The hotel has a warm family friendly environment that we love and we will naturally be returning here often for our daycations.Rooms: Clean rooms, beautiful bathrooms, hair dryer in every bathroom. As well as coffee maker and iron if needed.Nearby activities: Camping, swimming in summer, bird watching, hiking trails,Safety: Feels very safeWalkability: Walking to a convenience store across the street and library and book stores several blocks away. Laundrymat is also across the street.Food & drinks: The breakfast is top notch

Best hotel I've ever stayed at! The housekeeper named Liz made me feel like I was in a high rollers sweat in Reno!Rooms: I stayed three days and every day my room was cleaned with such detail I kept thinking I was entering the wrong but I wasn't! Top notch housekeeping crew especially the real pretty one named Liz!

I stayed here twice, on my way to and from Burning Man. The first time, I got harassed by three drunk guys in the parking lot, who also tried intimidating me. The second time, the housekeeper knocked on the door at 9am to see if we were still there. We arrived around 2:30am the night before and were barely awake when she successfully woke us up. The only reason I'm not giving this place one star is that the rooms were clean and the receptionist friendly.

Nice big clean rooms, friendly staff and I like the location.... It's a little pricey at about $100+ a room but still worth it...Food & drinks: There are places eat and stores near by witch is convenient...

Its Alturas people, one of the more remote places in California. so there aren't too many options. If you are looking for five star hotels with spa service, Alturas aint the place for you. There simply are not that many options. This place has horrible beds, at least that was our experience. I mean mushy, lumpy, not good. Also, when I reserved the room on Hotels.com I reserved a single King bed. If that was a King bed, Im Elvis Presley. All that said, staff was very pleasant, room was clean. With the limited accommodations available, this is a serviceable hotel.

The room we were put in was a pet friendly room and it was utterly horrible. It had huge rips in the carpet with 3 very large stains and I wouldn't walk barefoot on it. The smell of urine was so potent that the plug-in airfresheners were of no help. Actually made it even more potent. The shower sprayed everywhere but on your body, even with adjusting the sprayer. I told 2 different employees that the room we were in needed to be tended too. I will never stay here again.

Sad former Best Western teetering on the brink of becoming a classic fleabag.Though the staff was congenial and hard working, crumbling stucco, concrete filled pool and mal functioning satellite tv system indicate that this is a business being wrung dry by its owners.The rooms are clean and the staff is very accommodating but this is a motel circling the drain.

We booked a couple rooms for business. Due to weather we had to reschedule in the middle of our stay. Kevin was amazing and helped us reschedule the visit with no hassle at all.

Great experience. Room was clean and quiet! We were there Aug 19 2022 to Aug 21 2022. The gentleman at front desk was very courteous. Thank you! We came to Alturas for celebration of life for my sister. A very emotional time for me. So thank you!
