I travel to the greater Los Angeles area several times a year and have spent the last TWO YEARS looking for a "gym away from home"....I finally found it!!! The Wellrock features small group training that focuses on form and function through just the right combination of strength training and endurance. I had the opportunity to work with three different trainers in one week - all of whom were outstanding! Each made me feel welcome, answered my questions, and was very encouraging and supportive. Each day's workout was well planned, organized, and challenging. Thank you Wellrock - if I could give you 10 stars, I would!

Bladium is by far the best sports club in the Bay Area! There's no wait time for treadmills! Which is a plus versus other fitness clubs. I've been a member for 2yrs now and I honestly don't have any complaints. Family friendly and the staff if very helpful in all aspects! worth every penny!

WELLROCK has become almost a home away from home over the last 3+ years. I wasn't out of shape to begin with, but through coaching, friendship and camaraderie, Jesse and Sarah have helped me take this 56-year old body to the level of fitness I wish that I had accomplished in my 30's. I'm in the best shape of my life, I look forward to working out and I have a community that I love. These are good people and this is a good place. You will thank yourself for making it part of your life.

I'm going to try to explain how Wellrock has changed my whole outlook on life. Through their personalized, thoughtful and caring fitness program they've made me a better violin player. Crazy? I know, but I've always had trouble being completely successful in my goals. I just figured I didn't have it in me and would get frustrated and quit. Jesse and Sarah have taught me that you can achieve anything through mastering (and loving!) the baby steps first. At 53 years old they've taught me how to do a handstand again. I'm so excited to work on them that I come to class 1/2 hour early everytime just to get extra practice in! As far as the violin goes, I used to get frustrated that I couldn't play EVERYTHING the second I picked it up. Now I just take it one note at a time and eventually I'm playing a song as well as learning the theory behind it. I will be forever grateful for everything they've done.

My husband and I have been going to Wellrock for a year and feel like it's been a lifesaver. At 48 and 55, we both felt we needed to amp up our workouts, but also didn't want to get injured. Jesse and sarah create group and individual classes that meet everyone where you're at- so that there's often an array of abilities within one class that feels warm and inviting but never shaming or competitive. I've been through a lot of fitness boot camps and wellrock changes workouts every day and seasonally to keep things interesting. Socializing with other people has been great too. Couldn't ask for more!!

I've been a member of the WellRock for just over a year. Prior to joining, I had never done any serious strength training and got my exercise primarily from hiking and other outdoor activities. Starting in with the group classes, it didn't take long to realize how much of my body I wasn't properly conditioning and needed some serious attention!

I have been going to WellRock since July 2015 and I love the group classes here! I regularly go three times a week, four times if I'm not cycling. I feel that I am in better shape than I've ever been in my life, and mentally stronger and confident in myself. The strength and circuit training has had a major effect on the long-distance cycling I do as part of AIDS LifeCycle. Overall, I feel that WellRock is not only a gym but a community where I feel grateful and I am welcomed, just as I am, to be a part of. The positive influence that Jesse and Sarah have had on my life and wellbeing (through the workouts, health advice) encourage me to continue to grow physically and mentally, alongside WellRock gym folk. Highly recommended, for life!

I've been going to WellRock since July 2015 and I love the group workouts: supportive, challenging, fun, energetic, positive and friendly. I'm in the best shape of my life and WellRock is an integral part of self care for me. I am always engaged and encouraged to improve upon myself but not to be in competition with someone else, because it's about growth and self improvement. The class workouts are an hour long and I am never ever bored - the music is great and pumps me up! Jesse and Sarah also take time to correct our form to avoid injuries and to get the most of the movement. I love being a part of the WellRock Community and recommend anyone who wants to make a positive change, to grow stronger, to be challenged and to feel good about themselves to join!

I've been coming here now for almost 8 months and I still love it. Honestly, when I signed up, I anticipated I would come for 3 months and get back to my workout game at home. I've stayed because I quickly realized how much I enjoy this. Also, though I am a diligent and self motivated person, there is no way that I could work out as effectively and efficiently as I do at WR. I feel myself welcoming the challenges at each workout because I feel myself getting stronger with each workout. Jesse and Sarah are also always introducing new information and new movements, which keeps the workouts interesting and fun. If you are hesitant about the cost, which I was at first, you might consider the old adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." This has been an excellent investment in my health and wellness. What I do and learn at Wellrock permeates other parts of my life in incredibly positive ways (eating well, sleeping well, etc.). I often joke that Sarah is my doctor because anytime I feel any tweak or pain (I play soccer and sometimes get banged up during games), Sarah invariably shows me an exercise or stretch that fixes the problem very quickly. I am so grateful for the Wellrock and the community it fosters. It's so much more than a workout.

Jesse and Sarah have been amazing trainers. They're informative, patient, caring, and inspirational. They tailor the exercises of each class to the individuals and adjust depending on where you are in your workout journey. It's been immensely satisfying to feel myself getting stronger over time and although the workouts can be quite tough, I've come to really enjoy the challenge and the way I feel afterwards. With the stresses of daily life, these workouts have been an anchoring point in my week and I always look forward to them. Beyond the workouts, Jesse and Sarah are a great source of advice on all aspects of personal wellness. The community they've built around the gym is also wonderful. There are people of all ages and fitness levels supporting each other's journeys. I feel so fortunate to have found the WellRock -- I can't recommend it enough!

I just wanted to share my experience with everyone else. I am 33 and have been going to The WellRock for over 2 years now and Absolutely love this place. Jesse and Sarah are the best trainers I've had. They dedicate their time and put in a great amount of effort to make you be best person you can be. All the wellrockers are super friendly and we have become a big family. We have done many spartan races together and can't wait to do more . We challenge ourselves as a team and only try to better ourselves. I feel honored and bless to have found this place and be a part of the team. I've lost over 30 pounds and in the best shape of my life. I used to go to equinox and had private lessons there but nothing can compare to what you truly get at The WellRock. Anyone looking for a new place to workout and be part of an amazing team should definitely give The WellRock a chance. Thanks for everything!!

UPDATE: I just marked my two year anniversary of working out at The Wellrock. For the past six months I've been coming 5 days a week. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I HATE to work out. I never imagined I would be one of those people who actually loves going to the gym and is actually committed to working out 5 times a week. The Wellrock turned me into that person. Sarah and Jesse are truly committed to their clients' long-term health wellbeing. They're also just incredible, sweet, generous, kind, and loving people. Without them I would almost certainly not be exercising regularly.

Update: two years later I'm still at The WellRock and, at 42, unconditionally the fittest I've ever been. I have put in a lot of effort in these two years, but I've also had a ton of support, both from Jesse and Sarah and from my fellow members. It's a wonderful community and I'm so honored to be part of it. Original review: I don't write many reviews because there are few businesses that compel me to do so. But I just want to express my gratitude for this gym and the community around it. Jesse and Sarah, the co-owners, are super positive and supportive and have created a welcoming culture where everyone knows each other and pushes each other to be their best. This isn't the place to go if you're trying to lose 46 pounds in a week and a half - because that's stupid, and these guys are smart. They are always researching health and fitness information and keeping clients informed. Their hearts are in this work, and it shows.
