Nice people but just too expensive! They wanted to charge us $250 to pick up one bed.

On June 21st, 2022, I had a scheduled priority pickup. My grandfather had passed away and I needed to donate the items in his home. Although some items were dated, they were in good working condition. The items may have been dusty since they have been sitting since my grandfather passed but with a little cleaning, they could have been someone's treasure. I had originally contacted Father Joes for a donation pick-up but unfortunately, they were completely booked for my area. They said they had a priority pick-up that I would have to pay for, but they could be out in 48 hrs. I really didn't want to have to pay for donated items to be picked up, but I also needed the home cleared out right away. I decided to bite the bullet and just pay. I went online and filled out the forms with the best of my knowledge with the list I created with items in the home. It came out to be over $900.00. Seeing my grandfathers' belongings taken from his home was hard enough but having to deal with the experience of the pickup company is beyond words. I wish I would have just posted FREE stuff on craigslist and knew it went to people who needed it rather than it be treated as junk and trash and be disrespected in my grandfather's home along with having property damaged. When the movers arrived, you could already tell they were not very pleasant, Kyle seemed as though he wanted to be done for the day and maybe we were the last pick-up location as they arrived at a little after 3pm. Kyle asked to show him around of everything that needs to be picked up. I explained this was my first time using this donation service and wasn't sure what they could or couldn't take. Once I was done showing him around, he went back through to get a count of everything. When the third person showed up is when all hell broke out. But what even made the situation 10x worse was this third person who came and acted as though everything in the home was garbage! He grabbed a recliner and shoved it through one of the doors and tumbled it down the stairs and broke it! There were screws and bolts all over the floor. Kyle and the guy with the glasses were in the laundry room trying to get the washer and dryer out and asked if I could unlock the side door. I said yes and opened it and asked if they were going to try to take it out that door. They replied yes, I said I don't think it's going to fit through that door. They proceeded anyways and were trying to shove it through the door. I said I really hope you're not going to damage the doorway because they were going to clearly break the door frame. They stopped and then I hear them discussing taking the door off. Nobody came to me to ask about removing a door. As this was going on that third guy started arguing with my sister saying how they shouldn't even be taking the appliances because they weren't disconnected, and they should be charging us and additional $35 to disconnect each appliance. We explained we were already charged and if they didn't want to take the items to refund us the money back! He continued arguing and yelling how we were getting a deal because $900 is nothing for all this stuff and we were under charged and they shouldn't even be doing this. I said fine, stop what you're doing give me your managers number and refund me my money! He said he didn't have a manger and wouldn't tell us their name. He was very unprofessional, disrespectful and should not be allowed to speak to the customers. This argumentative behavior went on the entire time he was there. In the end they broke the refrigerator, dropped the stove down the stairs and damaged the window, stairs and fence. I reached out to Father Joes and Heard back from Meagan who said she would take care of the repairs. I will keep you updated to see if repairs are done.

Professional, punctual and efficient. Processed my furniture donation seamlessly and took appropriate caution moving large pieces without damaging the furniture, my living space or the building's hallways or elevator in a residential high-rise.

Marc and David came to my So Cal home and took care of business! They were so kind, helpful and understanding of what I was trying to accomplishment in my garage - (after 2 adult children with spouses, kids and dogs moved back in.). With no judgement. Now I can access the other half of the garage and I can't WAIT to have them come back and finish the task. BTW I found them to be much more reasonably priced than a competitor. Thanks Marc and David!!

This company was sent to me by a charity to which I was donating most of my clothes and furniture as I was moving out of state. The two men showed up in a dirty looking truck with a sign on the side that said "JUNK". I was rather horrified as my clothes are from Talbot, and my furniture is from Ethan Allan. It's NOT junk! Well, I had to swallow my pride and let that go. Remember, my things were to be donated and sold for a charity. I was renting the 2nd floor of a two story house. The men backed the truck up to my building. They then threw most of my clothes (in bags) and my very nice furniture, including two very heavy sofa beds, down from the balcony into the back of the truck. I was horrified to say the least. Certainly there was some degree of damage as a result of the landing. And these items were to be sold! It just seemed disrespectful, and lazy on the part of the men. Otherwise, they did the work they came to do in a timely fashion.

I used Junkinator for both nice stuff donation and another time for actual junk and overlarge items. They called ahead and were professional and polite. I did check in with the office prior to their time slot and was reassured each time that I was on the driver's schedule. Nice.
