Filthy gym and locker rooms. Equipment lacking maintenance and organization. Servers in the restaurant are unhappy and untrained. Racial separation obvious among staff. Employee to member sexual harassment in locker rooms. Gym only stays open because of hotel revenue. Management from the top down is complacent and lazy.
This place needs fresh leaders.
New faces.
And something that resembles ‘near hospital grade cleanliness.’

It is a nice hotel. Great staff. It is not 5 stars to me. They cut corners a little on certain things. This is just my opinion based on the basics expected in a room. An example is that the bath towels are scratchy. These are minor things but subtract from the rating.

I visited for an official purpose, and it's a nice, well-kept place with spacious rooms. The staff is very friendly, and both breakfast and dinner are excellent. It’s also conveniently close to the beach, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings in a relaxing environment.

I recently stayed at Renaissance ClubSport Aliso Viejo, and it was an incredible experience. The hotel perfectly blends modern comfort with a focus on wellness. After our vacation ruined by Mission View inn & suites at San Diego we head back to home and after midnight we arrived here which was the nearest hotel with rooms available.
Kevin at front desk very helpful and nice. To soothe our bad time he offered us few complimentary options which I appreciate it.

Not so much business crowd, but we loved it.

Food & drinks: Bar closes early in the night. Lobby bar is breakfast/lunch/dinner place.

My wife and I took our 1½ year old baby girl for 1 night here because we were going to the beach the following day. This place for only being here 1 night was absolutely incredible! The service was beyond flawless, the room smelled brand spanking new, the food and drinks were exquisite! We will definitely be coming back here the next chance we get! Keep up the good work Renaissance ClubSport!

Outstanding experience. The facilities are top-notch, exceptionally clean, and meticulously maintained.
The gym offers a massive range of equipment, covering everything you could possibly need or want without loosing interest.
There are daily group classes ranging from yoga to boxing. If you prefer to relax, you can soak up the sun by the pool, or sip on a cocktail from the poolside bar, or enjoy a day at the spa.
This place has everything you need for some quality "me" time.
Kudos to Marriott for an incredible job.

Do you have children? Do you like exercise? Go here. The kids swimming zone is truly the best. The towels provided were very soft, and the family shower room was also clean and easy to use.
The children's kids club is also fantastic. My kids had a really great time here and we will definitely be returning.
Rooms: Clean twin room. Refrigerator available. I fell asleep easily in bed. Toilet is clean. It was a shower booth, but the water pressure was a bit weak. But satisfied.
Nearby activities: Highly recommend the gym, children's club and swimming pool in the hotel. If you leave the hotel and walk along the road, you can find a fountain and rest area between business buildings.
Safety: Very safe. I walked and jogged for 30 minutes from the hotel and it was very safe.
Walkability: Although the roads are hilly, the landscaping is good and there are many people taking walks.
Food & drinks: Restaurants nearby are 3 minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot. You can also buy snacks at Trader Joe's.

I have gym membership. The facility is superb. Clean shower area, love the pool and a good variety of gym classes. There's an array of monthly activities as well.

Old and outdated rooms. I hear they are are being renovated but it’s far overdue. Front desk employees were not very friendly. When walking by them to reach the elevator, they’d never look up or greet you. It’s mixed with a sports club and smells like a typical gym.
