“This is a great local ballroom studio for people wanting to learn all types of ballroom dance. The dance floor is huge with plenty of room for multiple lessons going on at the same time. There are some afternoons or evenings that have social dance hour, so you might want to find out when those events are... whether you want to attend at those times, or you want to avoid scheduling a lesson during those times, Lol.Many years ago we had a bad experience when out of the blue, the management decided they did not want children dancers in the studio. My son was training in ballroom in preparation for a competition. His partner was actually the professional ballroom teacher's daughter. But we were forced to go to another studio to dance. Needless to say, that was not a good experience. However, I understand that management has changed, and now, under the direction Brenda, it has a much friendlier atmosphere and routinely there will be young students training there as well. Definitely this is a training ground for a future professional competitors, as well as a great place if you want to be motivated or inspired by seeing what others can do, as well as take their group lessons.”
“While this is now a private condominium complex of sorts, it is still a beautiful building. I would have loved to have been able to see the inside. It is something special to see. The building is celebrating their 125th anniversary with a gala in March with proceeds used for restoration.”
“I recently hosted an event at this remarkable rental location, and it exceeded all expectations, earning my enthusiastic 5-star rating. The venue itself is stunning, with versatile spaces that catered perfectly to our needs. The staff’s professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional, ensuring a seamless planning process and flawless execution on the day of the event. From the initial inquiry to the post-event wrap-up, the team demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction that truly stood out. The amenities provided were top-notch, and the overall ambiance added a touch of elegance to our occasion. If you’re seeking a venue that combines sophistication with impeccable service, look no further – this event rental location deserves every bit of its 5-star acclaim.”
“Wow! Just a lot of emotions right off the bat, and they mentioned a long moustache in like the first 5 minute so I felt personally vested in the show at that point. Definitely a much more personal and engaging venue than I've ever experienced and I totally loved that; quite unexpectedly. I wish I could have shaken each and every one of their hands.”
“We absolutely loved our stay at Bissell House! We were looking for something more charming than a big-box hotel, and Airbnbs have become too much work quite frankly with all of the “rules” that come with them. Bissell House was absolutely perfect – the owners put so much care and thought into the place. I couldn’t stop taking pictures and videos – the whole place was decorated to perfection and made you feel like you were right at home. The complementary breakfast was also incredible! We had a yogurt parfait and French toast. The service was incredible – we didn’t have to lift a finger.I highly recommend Bissell House. It is well worth the price (which honestly wasn’t bad and is comparable to what hotels are today with all of their added fees). I hope anyone who stays there has as magical a time as we did.”

As the Development and Event Manager, I was thoroughly impressed.Noor's commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of the event. The team's attention to detail, from setup to the event's final moments, was impeccable. Aileen & Robert were a pleasure to work with. “The Hotwater Cornbread Event was so nice, it was nice to see so many vendors and successful businesses! I will go everytime there is an event..the food was delicious!!!”
“A very charming rental venue that we reserved for an evening to host a dinner for about 70 of our friends. our contact was Stella, who was professional and informative. our caterer and myself loved the kitchen-- it was spacious, great counter space and a great stove to heat food. also spacious fridge. Bathrooms and the whole venue was clean. There are multiple sets of french doors throughout the main room, which helps to circulate fresh air. we didn't have to rent tables and tablecloths from an outside vendor as you can rent them from the lodge. our guests loved the location. we plan on leasing it again. great for wedding, reception, party, or a dinner.”
“I have been to this place multiple times, for weddings or other types of parties. The food is very good, and the service is excellent.Only one thing I dislike about this banquet hall is the chairs. They have very hard glass chairs. After sitting for an hour, you start to get a backache and want to walk around or go home. I wish they would replace them with softer chairs.”
“It is spacious and has multiple entrances, making it easy to get in and out.Very comfortable. It's a beautiful place. There is a parking lot right across the street, but I'm not sure how much it is. However, it seemed a bit crowded due to the large number of event crowds. If you don’t mind walking about a blockParking at E Green St, Pasadena, CA 91101 is $12 per day. It's a bit disappointing that there is no discount on parking.”

5500 Godbey Dr, La Cañada Flintridge“I've organized two 300+ people plus parties at this venue with LCFCC and would return without a doubt. The coordinator, Joy, and her staff were professional, experienced, considerate, and invested in helping make sure our event was successful and our guests had a great time. 5 stars for the entire staff. The venue itself has a naturally amazing view, day or night, which reduces the need for heavy decoration. On-site parking was ample and close. The view is also amazing from the lot. Venue has multiple rooms to choose from, we booked the entire space and was able to create activities specific to each. We selected the classical buffet amd various passed appetizers, overall the taste and quality was great. I had no complaints from the guests, all complements. Salmon is challenging to prep for large groups, and they've delivered consistently. Bar was well-stocked and bartenders were solid. Venue can provide all your standard party material and some AV. We had our own vendors for some activities, which was straightforward to arrange with the coordinator. Price was reasonable considering the included amenities onsite. Joy, the coordinator, and the team leads were onsite and actively monitoring all night to ensure a smooth event flow.”
“The most professional photo studio in Los Angeles!! They are so lovely to work with everyone on their team is extremely helpful and really responsive. Overall, just a joy to work with. As you know scheduling a photo shoot can be extremely stressful with all of the moving parts. I had to reschedule my day and thank God they were able to accommodate me. This Studio is always my first option when booking any shoots. It's so refreshing to work with genuine and humble people who truly care about your needs and are there to assist you in any way they can making sure your photo shoot is a success! This is how you keep the customers coming back! Keep up the great work guys. Thank you so much Ian and Whitley!”

“I went to a wedding reception here...have to say it's a pretty cool place to have a party or venue...it's in the industrial part of town..so loud music is no problem..and the building is old with it's awesome new deco vibe...the parking outside kinda sucks...and definitely not in the greatest and safest area of downtown Boyle Heights..but still..it's definitely a great place to consider...I would go to this place again and again..”

55 S Grand Ave, Pasadena“I absolutely recommend the Maxwell house as a wedding venue! The architecture of this historical mansion is so beautiful, It gave our wedding a more unique feel than your typical hall. From the ornate ceilings, beautiful grand staircase to the fine art hung up on every wall - it was everything we imagined for our day! Cindy was so kind and responsive, the whole staff was amazing! Thank you Maxwell House.”
“came here for LindyGroove on a Thu & loved it - setting fits so nicely for a dance style from the 20s yet I appreciated the dress was so casual. Such a welcoming group to out of towners!”

631 W 2nd St, Los Angeles“I came here to view the current Feminist Art Project exhibit. The space is beautiful and the person working at the gallery was welcoming, informative, and helpful. The exhibit was inspiring and wonderfully curated. I loved all the books and archival material. Parking on a Saturday was $10 and easy. A coffee cart was open near the gallery and several food trucks were close by at the Broad Museum.”
“I recently did my son's birthday party here and it was awesome! I would highly recommend this place. It's literally great for all ages, even for older kids! Very clean and professional. “The best parade there is all year in California at least that I know ofIt has a variety of events which start at approximately eight in the morning, obviously it is a very special event which requires you to leave very early to be able to have a space and park in advance because there are too many people who go and the truth is that it is worth the It's a shame the second time I go and I will go again next year if it has never been in person I recommend that you don't miss it next yearThe best parade there is all year round in California at least I knowIt has a variety of events which start at approximately eight in the morning. “My toddler loves this place! While this isn’t Kidspace, which I compare most places to, it is perfect for what it is. The activities are diverse, clean, and organized. The price point is also good. I’d highly recommend a visit to see if you little one like the place, and I’m confident they will!”
“This place is gorgeous. Attended a wedding there and I live the outside setup but there were fire ants bothering us. The place should spray out there for insects.Inside was perfect.”
“Hidden gem! This tiki bar is really spacious and there's a lot of decor - aquariums, regularly timed volcano eruptions, cute lights etc. I came on a Saturday night and it had great vibes - enough people to keep the atmosphere fun, but it wasn't too crowded.”
“It was an Honor to COORDINATE the Petito wedding Here at the Thursday club. This place is a Gem. All vendors worked so seamlessly together. Pictures are absolutely beautiful here. So many picture opportunities on the grounds and street. We look forward to working here in the future.”
“So this is a cute little venue in the middle of Pasadena. First of all, I would like to thank the University club of Pasadena for being here at all. Fun fact, every wedding I'm invited to. Every one of them! I have to drive some untold number of hours to go to a destination for people who I adore that I will talk to for less than 2 minutes. And then I'll spend the rest of the time saying weird stuff to my friend's family and other friends who I have never met. And I will probably end up as a footnote to the wedding stuff. Oh hey you remember that weird guy that talked about his foot fetish? Oh, Alex? That guy sure talked a lot about that mental health stuff called attachment theory? Oh yeah dude was kind of weird. I think he has issues for giving himself. That's the kind of stuff that I don't want to deal with at a wedding and whenever I have to drive more than an hour to get to a wedding which is almost every freaking time. I have to deal with it but because University club of Pasadena open their doors to my friends I did not have to do that. I only had to drive 10 minutes from Sierra Madre to find myself a nice cozy parking spot because I showed up a little bit early. And let me tell you the staff they were on point. They treated us like true guests. The mixologists or bar keeps were superb. They were snarky. They made our drinks stiff and our faces happy. The guy that looks like Gavin newsom was a delight. A real slice of a guy. The gown that served me a shot of whiskey before I sang I Believe in a thing called Love by the darkness. I'm blowing Kisses at you. So the venue is spacious. There was plenty of dance floor. There was plenty of space for people to sit through the ceremony and I just have to tell you that I loved being here. It was such a great place for my friends to have a truly wonderful and beautiful day. And I'm glad that I got to sharing it. And if this chorubic faced ginger bearded man could find such Joy. Just watching other people enjoy themselves. Imagine yourself here enjoying yourself or letting other people enjoy the things that you enjoy. Can you even imagine that? No, of course not because I'm the one with the imagination. You're the one reading this. Go watch my favorite band. The go home Becky's streaming live now. Not really. I think I made that band name up. I saw it in a bathroom once. Anyway okay bye. Love you”
“If your looking for a venue to host your wedding, sweet 16, 50th, orr whatever your need may be, Crystal Marquis is the place to have it.Alexis, Mariah and Art are beyond fabulous. From the minute you sit down with them to tell them your vision, they work to make it happen. They take all the stress and worry with planning so you don't have to. They are in constant communication with any questions, updates or just to see how you are doing. The day of your event, Alexis, Mariah and Art and the whole staff make your event stress free and memorable. We had a couple of issues arise with the guest dietary needs during the dinner. Alexis and Mariah and the chef handled it beautifully. Alexis had let me know what they had did for the guests to make sure they were able to enjoy the whole event. What more could you ask for? Crystal Marquis is the best!!”
