Read the reviews before you purchase from Oneway Auto. James only cares about the money and not creating a long lasting relationship with his customers. His negative reviews out way the good ones and its for a reason.10/24 I purchased a transmission for my customer for a 2011 Toyota Venza for $1,600. With transmission jobs like this(Toyotas) its an easy swap but once the swap was done it was throwing a code P0500 “Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Malfunction”. This code is set when the vehicle's Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Engine Control Module (ECM) detects incorrect speed readings or lack of a signal from the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Now I could have easily called James and told him the transmission isn’t working but we did our investigation and found that it all lead to the transmission module. I call James 10/26 and he says no problem I'll get you another one for tomorrow morning coming from bakersfield. The next day rolls around and no module mind you we already promised our customer by a set time the vehicle. I call James and he mentions the the module will still arrive Friday. I call James in the afternoon and his not there he took the day off. He couldn’t even let his workers know what was going on so they couldn’t help me and they close Saturday so no car for my customer. I call Monday James says the module hasn’t arrived yet, i call again later in the afternoon and still no module. I get it James has no control over shipping but to not even make the effort of giving me a call and keeping me updated. I still have to report back to my customer and its making our business look bad. Tuesday 10/31 I call and James said that he thought it was being delivered by UPS but instead DH gate and that it still wasn’t shipped out!!!! He mentions that he has sent out his driver somewhere in Anaheim to retrieve one and the driver would be giving me a call to let me know his eta. The driver never gave me a call. I call James he doesn’t want to answer my calls(he could be busy thats fair) i call for the fourth time i speak to a women and she mentions that the driver has obtained the module and is taking it back to them!!!! Why? if James said the driver would take it to us. I call Wedneday 11/1 morning to pick up the module James says he has no news of the module and he has to wait to have a meeting with his drivers!!!! we later call him and tell James to pick up his transmission(at this point we’re tired of how much time it has taken) and return us our money he says ok and doesn’t say anything else. Thursday 11/2 he'll send someone to pick up the transmission never sends someone I call him, James mentions that his finance department hasn't provided him the check. Friday 11/3 we drop off the transmission and as my worker is walking out with the check he tells him that there is a restocking fee of 20%!! So not only did James waste our time he took $320 from us. I understand if the part was good and we wanted to return but the part was not good to begin with. James already wasted our time, he won't call you back, he'll make you feel like you’re a nuisance. I know James is going to read this and James when you do, have a sense of customer service people can tell when you genuinely want to help them and when you don't.James was also mentioning that the car would have to be programmed(Lies!!) with the module that was attached to his transmission. We purchased the module somewhere else and the car worked perfect with no code. This man knows nothing about cars.

These guys are amazing! They care! They go above and beyond. With nothing in it for them, they helped guide my teenage daughter on where to buy a car. They told her NOT to buy the one they had and helped her find another. We will be using One Way every step of the way in her project car rebuild!

Absolutely terrible. This place took forever to ship the part and after all my husband and I have spent and gone through to get to the point of installing the transmission they sent. It was the wrong one! We have called numerous times with no response. Do not use these people . Now we are going on 2 months with out a working vehicle and out $1300 + $900 for the labor to find that it was not the right part.

THIEVES!!! I was shipped an engine that was severely damaged. All warranty and diagnostic info was provided in the allotted time per warranty. Their communication was limited to stating that the info was not provided in time. Then, when the evidence was provided that it was sent in time, there has been no communication since. BBB Submission and legal action is the next step.

Don't waste your time. They don't take customer service seriously. Zero desire to work. Compete waste of my time and will never use again.

This is the type of business you think about when you generally think about auto style business. Rude, unprofessional, lack of etiquette when communicating. Took a week to get back to me and still didn't have my parts. I only got their information from a State Farm field appraiser(yikes state farm). Just know ahead of time what you're getting into if you choose to do business with this company.

I would highly suggest anyone considering buying a part here to Stay Away. The owner, James, is a lying crook. I bought a used engine Friday May 8th and text James Monday May 11th to let him know I no longer needed the engine. He text back I would have a refund in 3 days. No refund. I followed up every week for 6 weeks to hear a different story every time. "We sent it today you'll see it by midnight." "I'll look into it" "We'll do it tomorrow" Just a bunch of run around. So basically James has all my money and I have nothing. I can't wrap my head around how this guy runs his business, but when 1/3 of your google reviews are 1 star and 3/4 of your yelp reviews are one star, that definitely tells you something. I am still perusing my refund and have filed complaints with California DMV Investigations, California's Attorney Generals Office, Car-Part, and my own personal attorney to get my refund along with damages associated with the egregious way that this transaction has been handled. I would suggest anyone else who had a similar issue file similar complaints, eventually he will be held accountable.
