Too expensive. Hot heater is always broken. My kitchen sink were always clogged.. . And unnecessary cleaning fee deducted on my deposit after I moved out. Which they never mentioned to me when I signed the contract. The maintenance guys are always great at their job. I blame the Palos verdes management. You guys ripped people off . For 2200 a month. I rather live in OC for the same price . LA is a joke

Privileged people get apartments with working fireplace, others do not!!! The restroom near the swimming pool is locked so people let their kids pee in the swimming pool.

Luxe 1801 has been an amazing experience for my wife and I!Since our time here, we have always had such pleasant interactions with the property manager Kaila and the maintenance team. They are always seen working hard and going above and beyond to ensure they do as much as they can to keep our complex clean and repaired. I consistently see them working in the morning through to the evening, and even on weekends. Not only are they hard workers, but they’re also kind, courteous, and profesional! This has been a huge step-up from our previous apartment experiences here in the LA area!We have not had a single issue, question, or maintenance request go ignored or unassisted, they make sure to follow up as quickly as possible!Definitely a safe area too!

This is what you will get in LUXE 1801 - paying over $2000 per month and still get your car's catalytic converter stolen while it is parked in LUXE's parking lot. They charge you money for parking but NO GUARANTEE for management and protection. Management team's attitude looks like it's nothing to do with them... SO Disappointing, don't recommend.

I lived at this property for about three years and moved out 5/6/2022. The place is clean and friendly, and I loved the initial management. Carol and Kyler were so kind and responsive. The only reason why I docked one star from the rating was because I didn't get my security deposit until today 9/26/2022. I was very courteous to the new management even three months after the 21 days required by California law to return security deposits. After the third or fourth phone call, the manager was clearly not going to take the time to find my security deposit. If anyone has this issue, I reached out to the official management office. I believe Luxe 1801 is officially called Luxe 1801 Investment LP. The office was very responsive and sent my security deposit immediately upon receiving my request. If you have any issues, please reach out to them. On the California Court Website, I found their address to be the following:43D Malaga Cove Plaza, STE D, PALOS VERDES ESTATES CA, 90274.The address from which I received the security deposit was the following:43C Malaga Cove Plaza, PALOS VERDES ESTATES CA, 90274.Not sure if this makes a difference but putting it here just in case the first address doesn't get a response.Other than that, not writing this as a total negative review. The official management returned my security deposit without delay. I had three great years here at Luxe 1801. It is a really convenient location for anyone working at USC Keck School of Medicine at the HSC campus. The surrounding neighborhood was clean and safe. Carol - the very first apartment manager - let me keep my 80 lbs golden retriever (large dog). The management has changed considerably since. Hope this helps!

Sorry I couldn’t break it down to two reviews. Valid info, take time to read.I’ve lived at 1801 Luxe for three years now. I’m extremely leary of larger apartment complex buildings because they can be overwhelming for the management company to maintain and to provide quality customer service. When we were owned by the Bascom Group we had awesome maintenance and an AMAZING office manager. This is what we used to see and have:* Lawn care servicing weekly* Maintenance used to power spray our walkways weekly* Maintenance would clean the vestibule and other common areas daily* Pest control once a month* Our pond was cleaned at least once monthly* The pool was cleaned monthly* Strong water pressure* Strong gas pressure* A office manager that smiled, greeted you, and was pleasant most timesAll of that has now changed since we were acquired by Palos Verdes Investment back in June of 2021. The switch has been a nightmare for us residents. The new lady, Idolina Monzon that sits in the office is rude and unprofessional. I don’t know whether to call her the office manager, maintenance, or simply a tyrant that most of the tenants don’t care for.We need additional staff and for the regular maintenance to start back immediately. It’s an eyesore to see our front office person with her pants legs rolled up standing in the middle of the pond cleaning it; and then goes back into the office to work and show units to prospects… It’s also an eyesore to see our front office person doing all the daily work that used to be performed by maintenance ie vacuuming the vestibule, collecting trash, leaves, and etc. Our water and gas pressure has also been adjusted since the takeover and everyone in the building is complaining about it. Our toilets are barely flushing; and you can’t run the sink and the shower water at the same time without the pressure being weak on one or the other. The gas pressure has also clearly been adjusted, but we haven’t seen an adjustment in our utility cost. Some days we have no maintenance at all it appears. This property needs at least 1.5 full time staff members on the maintenance team as we had before. The residents have been severely impacted with this acquisition. I would’ve loved to simply share this with management, but the office lady has ignored my request to provide their email four times since August of 2021 and the last request was Feb 7, 2022. Today I attempted to follow-up in person with her and SHE STARTED SCREAMING AND MADE ME FEEL THREATENED by taking a step towards me while screaming…Her initial reply was they don’t have an email to provide. I then asked her how do I contact someone outside of her for issues pertaining to the building that she can’t resolved? That’s when she stated yelling and stepped towards me, which can be confirmed by the camera that was pointing at us. I begin to yell over her telling her she’s yelling at me, and how rude and unprofessional she’s being. She was so loud that you could hear several doors close after she finished initially yelling. During this interaction she told me she doesn’t have a supervisor, as if she owns the property; they don’t have an email address to provide, she’s not giving me the email, and finally to write a letter and she would mail it…Idolina advised me upon initially meeting that she ran a plant prior to the position she has now. I felt the need to remind her today that our building is not a plant; and she’s dealing with tenants that live in apartments that afford her her salary. She also only speaks to us residents if she’s doing a property showing; otherwise we are not acknowledged in passing. She cuts you off while you’re speaking, curt most times, and just not a very pleasant person to be in customer service. Again, I preferred to simply email someone without posting a negative review. I simply wanted to be contacted by a manager or supervisor to understand why our service has drastically been impacted since the acquisition. I’m also due an apology.Love my place, but people haves moved due to the bldg issues/cust serv.

The key to ensuring tenants and future tenants feel secure is communication and acknowledgment of their needs- this company lacks ability to prioritize tenants requests so they they can enjoy the living in their unit and home. The staff lacks awareness and competence in addressing tenants needs and following up on their requests. I'm appalled by the experience! Would not recommend leasing from them!

Never wrote a review about anything till this day but living here is terrible. My tires were stolen at my parking spot. Anyone could easily come in and out. Can't wait till my lease is up and find a safer place to live.

Really a safe and enjoyable community to live in L.A. We choose this place because it's got a geometric center location on the map, either on account of a warm reception phone from Kyle. The property company really got a group of nice crews out there.Spent several months in Luxe 1801I gotta say, we had our wonderful time here with our family and friends. We held our party and grilled the meat in the yard. The gym and the pool does help build my figure and they are always clean. The views upstairs are also pleasant. There's a private parking spot in the garage, but the curbside is also always available in the day time.I'll recommend this community to my friends if they got an accommodation plan.

Well.. many reviews say they haven't received the deposit. But I received mine. I guess it just depends...People who did not receive the deposit are more likely to leave the comment because that's how most people leave the review... to complain. People who moderately satisfied probably don't bother to take time to write a review.I actually enjoyed living here. Best part about this place is "the view". The apartment itself is located high and no high buildings around the apartment. You will see the most beautiful sunset and sunrise right at where you're living. You can see the rainbow after raining.. you may think it's not that important part to consider but watching the sunset while drinking tea at the balcony made me so happy and definitely enhanced the quality of my life.I also liked how you can receive the packages through the machine where it stores all the packages and you just need to press the passcode to receive it. Don't need to be aware of office hours to receive the packages anymore! All Staffs are very professional. They may not be the most kind people in the world. But you can rely on them in terms of solving the issues.????Now, downside is "the price". This place is very expensive. I honestly think this place is overpriced and they should stop spending money on renovating the place and focus more on finding way to lower the price.. this place and staffs are all great but the price is what stops people to choose this place.
