Im concerned about the laboratory department. They didn't verify who I'am and when the technician drew my blood she didn't ask my name or my date of birth...Basically i gave her my paper and the interaction was hello and thank you.I actually hate myself for not saying anything. Agggg. I hope the label was correct!!!.

I often have to pay out of pocket for actual healthcare because I do not usually get good advice from this place. I better going to a virtual care center like Plush or Dr. Says. I am planning to change my plan as soon as possible. Before I switched to Medicare Advantage I had a doctor I felt comfortable with from over twelve years. The only good care I received from Sutter was my now retired Gynecologist, Dr Rudd. He was excellent, kind and a brilliant doctor. I miss him. He is gone now so I can not factor in his valuable contribution.

It costs me $417 for a 5 min visit on my foot nail. The doctor let me go after taking a look and answering a few questions. No diagnosis/ lab result / treatment / operation happensI’m definitely not paying this and fighting through legal ways

The primary care doc was 1 hour late and a few weeks later I received a bill for $364 for the 20 minute exam in which no diagnoses were made. They charged the absolute maximum for the office visit that my insurance would allow.

Nurse Carolyn Is Very Passive aggressive & Made Me Feel Extremely Uncomfortable. Nurse Mya Definitely Made Up For Carolyn’s Sick Behavior , Carolyn Is Dealing With Elderly & Has Zero Patients If You Encounter Her Stay In The Room With Whoever You Are Caring For & Be Very Vigilant. This Saddens Me Because Elders Truly Have no Idea .

Meh. Came in today for a checkup. I hadn't seen a primary care doctor in a while and there were a few small things on my mind. Was told by MA that I should address my "problems" at one visit and come back for a second appointment for a well visit. She warned me that I'd probably get a big bill.... Seems very strange that one is discouraged from discussing health concerns during a physical. Schedulers should warn patients about system expectations re: what is a physical. They didn't match what I had in mind or needed. Doc and MA otherwise kind and competent.

they are seriously lack of pedestrians. My kid was sick on Thursday and I sent 3 messages to my pedestrians, Finally they replied to take the kid in. But the whole east bay medial foundation doesn't have one appointment available between Friday and Sunday. I have to take my kid to urgent care and emergency department.

Beware of their NPs. Everyone makes mistakes, but the NP we saw mistook a ruptured appendix for covid symptoms. Went home, things got worse, had to call 911 and go to Alta Bates ER. Required emergency surgery and survived, but things could have ended up very differently.I wish I would have asked more questions and been pushier, for lack of a better word, instead of just taking their diagnostic word.

Just moved here, went for an annual check-up. No health issues - doc did all the regular blood pressure, etc. Nurse offered to do a blood test (which in my experience is common to check for cholesterol, vitamin levels, etc.) No big deal - standard preventative care. Two weeks later, get a notice from my insurance and stuck with a $285 bill, um - OK maybe they missclassified it? It's clearly preventative (and I'm not going to pay $300 for a simple blood test that the nurse suggested off-hand). Called them, they said they will check the coding review. Called them a few weeks later, they said they corrected it (they had made a mistake) and now I don't owe them anything, saying they'll send it to my insurance in the next 2 weeks. Insurance, 2 months later, say they haven't gotten anything from them and I still owe $300. Complete annoyance, waste of time, and feels like I got ripped off my the nurse. I will not be coming back here and would not recommend. I want to trust my doctors to not be sliding in things and then trying to get a better pay-out from me instead of properly billing my insurance. Saga continues, with a lot of wasted time staying on hold between my (not cheap) insurance and Sutter. Had a similar issue at another Sutter facility where they're again checking the coding. I certainly hope that they're not doing the illegal thing of trying to suck money out of their patients but their incompetence is incredible.

Today was my first visit and I feel relieved to have found a PCP I want to keep! Tinebeta Mekonnen is who I have been searching for! She is knowledgable but down to earth, took her time, truly listened and was easy to talk to and empathetic. I love her! Her assistant Gerri was also lovely as was everyone I encountered at this clinic, even the security guy at the entrance greeted me pleasantly. I know I am lucky to have it but navigating healthcare has can be so frustrating sometimes--my experience at SEBF was easy and pleasant and I'm glad to have found it and Tinebeta!
