A delightful plant shop. Their outdoor plants are healthy and good stock, although I find the space confusingly organized and hard to navigate. There's not a lot of signage and they move things around so you can't necessarily find things in the same place. (Some things are easy to find like veg and vines, but perennials tend to move around.) Their indoor plants are a mix. They are large, dramatic, and beautiful... but they often come home with scale or some other problem. Last time I was shopping I couldn't find a single indoor plant without a visible pest on it. So although they look good in the store, six months from now I'll probably have a sick plant.

Amazing nursery. So many quality Christmas Trees! Love getting a coffee and enjoying the vibe. The staff are helpful and kind. I take my dog for a walk here all the time especially now with the seasonal spirit and Christmas magic! They have beautiful wreaths and such a convenient Christmas tree stand exchange program. For sure check it out!

Really fabulous boutique plant nursery. Very pleasing visually and design wise. Great customer service- friendly and knowledgeable (I count on this in our brainiac community of environmentalists!) with an awesome coffee truck right on sight. Uh, what more can one shopper ask for?!

Was meeting a friend for coffee at Flowerland, and it just so happens I love nurseries... so this was a slam dunk for me. I arrived, ordered coffee, only to find out that there is no customer bathroom (which I think is illegal in CA if you serve food and beverages). The barista told me that the nearest bathroom was a quick 5 blocks away at the Safeway... which usually wouldn't be a big deal BUT when you have to pee... 5 blocks seems like an eternity. I mean... how do you not have a bathroom? They need better amenities for their customers... Otherwise it would have been a 5 star review. Bummed...

Flowerland Nursery happens to be one of the prettiest garden centers I've ever shopped at! They have a phenomenal selection of indoor and outdoor potted plants, trees, garden furniture, birdbaths and even a very cool place to buy coffee!

I have been back to Flowerland many times since my initial review, buying plants and checking out their food popups. The first one was a BBQ popup. Today I went over to get schmears from Hella Bagels, which was doing a popup. I had emailed Blake to make arrangements for him to save me some. He also had bagel dogs but I didn't think to reserve one so I took my chances. Well, of course they had sold out of them by the time I got there, so next month if he makes them I will reserve one. He had garlic cream cheese but not plain, so I will have that to last me for a while. I had one of his Parmesan cheese bagels w/ the garlic schmear for lunch and it was terrific. Though Flowerland was having a plant sale, I resisted temptation and left w/ just my schmear. When I reread my review it reminded me of the Silver Sword azalea, which I never got, so I ordered one from a nursery in Oregon and expect it to arrive sometime next week.

I wish that I could give Flowerland 5 stars. It is beautiful, and the selection of plants and supplies are every gardener's dream. Fruits, vegetables, herbs, houseplants, gardening supplies, rare plants, you name it! And I love their mini "cafe truck." It is nice to grab a cup of coffee after spending the afternoon in the nursery shopping until your heart is content! I can tell that the owners truly put their heart and soul into this business. These lovely amenities are sadly overshadowed by this establishment's customer service. Quite a few of my encounters with the employees at this business have not been pleasant. I have found that I have had to wander around for quite awhile without receiving any offer of assistance, and when I have finally hunted down an employee, they appear exasperated that I am in their presence. No smile, no hello, and their answers are very short, curt, and occasionally sarcastic. While I am very sympathetic to the fact that retail workers are under tremendous stress, I have observed firsthand these employees display warmth and friendliness to other customers. They will smile, warmly greet them, make small talk, and enthusiastically direct them to their desired location. It is hurtful and makes me feel that I am somewhere that I am not welcome.

Smaller nursery, but we’ll maintained and curated selection. One of the few retailers of Fermob outdoor furniture and heated seating. Helpful staff.

I had the most pleasant experience at Flowerland yesterday. It was a sunny summer day and the flowers and plants all seemed extra happy to see the sun (it's been so dang dreary the past few months in the Bay Area). I had my breve cortado from Highwire. Lots of folks with their dogs, and walking around. There was a pie pop up. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Also, the store has lovely books, cards, jewelry ... and other nice things. I'd also like to add, that as one of the last covid hold outs who wears an N-95 mask EVERYWHERE and who avoids any inside spaces (covid is NOT over dummies, and long covid is no joke!) it was nice to be in a warm place, with a slight breeze, with social distancing, surrounded by plant life ... and sit and have a quality coffee beverage.

I came to Flowerland Nursery once while living in Albany. I was looking for a special soil mixture for an exotic succulent I purchased from the UC Berkeley botanical garden when it was having one of its sales. It was a South African native species with a partial name, Lokii, like a god for my Old Norse quarter of my family tree. The offerings were varied and fun. Workers were quick to ask if I needed help finding anything. They showed me the soil options, none were what I was looking for. I also checked out the pots and found a few I liked and decided that if/when the plant got larger I would come back and get one. In true Loki fashion, the plant was dead within a week or two. I think I watered it too much. My return to the this store thus was not needed as I managed to discourage myself from additional plants in my remaining time living in Albany. However, had the plant not died, I would have returned and upgraded the pot once it reached a certain size.

One of my favorite nurseries in the Berkeley-ish area (ok ngl Solano is Berkeley in my head lol). With so much real estate, they're able to offer so many different indoor and outdoor plants to browse and explore. Not to mention, their pottery is super cute and more unique than others that I've been to. Staff are knowledgeable on plant care and happy to answer any questions or make recommendations. I've definitely come back a few times just to ask questions on soil types and general gardening advice LOL. The plants I do buy from here never have issues repotting and never have pests (thank god!).

Love this place! They have such cute and unique plants and great planters. My go to shop out of all the plant nurseries around here. It’s pricy but not more than other nurseries in the area.
