I’ve been seeing Dr Gurley for years, she’s always attentive and will do what’s best for all my animals. She get in contact with me for lab work, even on her days off. Best Vet ever!

Dr. Gurley is dedicated, kind, attentive, and practices evidence-based medicine!! She has great energy and is a true animal lover and advocate. Our pets adore her!! She is super busy but you would not know it because she always gives you and your pet the attention you need. Love Dr. Gurley.

We did not have any bad experiences here until we specifically requested that our puppies only receive core vaccines and explicitly stated which vaccines we do not want administered. All of this is documented in an email that was sent from the office itself. However, on the day of the appointment, our puppies still received the vaccines we explicitly mentioned not to administer even after we reminded them that we do not want our puppies to receive those vaccines. After speaking with the front office, the employee mentioned that there's nothing they can do and that she would have to ask the doctor why the vaccines were given which implies that the doctor has the power to override the owner's decision?

My 11 yo dog has been treated by Cordornices his whole life and their care has been loving, kind and affordable. Front desk staff has been consistent for all 11 years, as well as some techs and vets, which I think says a lot about a place and their values. They have always been kind, patient and caring and often do things that I feel are above and beyond my expectations. We see (and LOVE!) Dr. Gurley these days, but have also had good visits with Dr. Bentley and Dr. Grant. Nice people who love pets!!

After 15 years I recently had to say goodbye to my dog Jezzie. She was a difficult animal but I loved her to pieces. Since moving to the area 7 years ago, I had been bringing her to Codornices for her regular checkups and for various issues such as vestibular disease (very scary) and a torn ACL. The entire staff was wonderful in getting her in when necessary, dealing with her behavior issues during exams (helping her feel calm), performing thorough evaluations and providing recommendations. Dr. Grant is a superstar and was there for us at the end, helping us understand quality of life issues and giving us the gift of saying goodbye to Jezzie in our home. The waiting area at the clinic is small and can get busy, so if you have a pet who is reactive to other animals it is best to leave them in your car until they are called into an exam room. The folks at the front desk are all business and do a great job staying on top of things. My only feedback would be for them to call you when medication is ready for pickup (otherwise you need to go in to check or call in advance - which takes up more time for everyone). Finally, people might complain that they can't get in to see "their" vet on the same day...They have always gotten us in "same day" when needed, although not always with her regular doc, which is completely understandable. That was fine for me (even with a fear-aggressive dog) because all of their doctors are terrific.

I really wanted to like this vet from all the great reviews. I'm always very nice to everyone, as I am in customer service and understand what a tough job it can be at times, but my two experiences w staff have been bad. From my first appointment, the gentleman at the front desk acted very put out when he had to obtain my previous pet records. The male vet was pretty nice, but I felt like he was shaming me for having a Persian cat because of their teeth / flat face issues. And they are super expensive. They wanted $2K plus for a dental cleaning and possible extraction. And be warned, they do not deal w/ online pet medication orders. You will need a paper prescription to mail-in; a total pain in the butt. The sad thing is there doesn't seem to be too many great options for pet care in the area.

Great vet! Caring people who've helped me take care of my fur babies for the past ten years now. Highly recommend them.

The doctors here are great and come highly recommended, but the people at the front desk seem cold and rude. Your front desk staff are the face of your company, it's the first people we interact with when we first walk in or call your establishment. When I first walked up to the desk no one acknowledged me or even said "hello, we'll be right with you" or "we will be with you in a moment" After a while a nice young woman called me over with a smile and asked how she could help. I go in and out of veterinary clinics all the time due to my career choice. I run a large pet care company in the East Bay Area and I will no longer be recommending Cordonises to my clients. I'd have to recommend Pets Referral, Kensington Veterinary Hospital, and Animal Care Clinic. The staff at the places I've listed are both friendly and helpful. Hopefully your front desk receptionists will get some extra training on customer service. If not you'll end up losing alot of clients to places that don't make their clients feel invisible. Maybe this doesn't happen to everyone that walks into Cordonises, maybe I just have bad timing, either way this has never happend to me at the other veterinary hospitals that I've listed. Hopefully with the right customer service training this type of behavior stops. From other Yelp reviews I've read I'm not the only one who has had this type of encounter with your staff. I'd love to recommend this place again if things improve, because the doctors here come so highly recommended.

I am so thankful for the vets here. They take the time to address all of our concerns. There is wonderful customer service and long time staff that remember all of our names. Dr. Grant has saved my dogs life twice by catching serious conditions that other vets have missed. I trust them completely.

I first took my Golden Retriever puppy to Codornices after a clinic I had taken other pets to over the years changed hands and the new people were less than satisfactory. The difference was awe-inspiring. I would trust Dr. Gurley and Dr. Grant with my own care, let alone my dog's. They both explain everything thoroughly and then include me in the decision making rather than dictating what needs to be done. I have read most of the five star comments, and I agree with all of them. My Golden is noe eight years old, loves to go to the vet, and has had the very best of care. Update: It has been two years since I first wrote this review. I still feel the same way. If I could give the doctors and staff at Codornices's Clinic ten stars, I would.

We love the vet we see here but it's practically impossible to get an appointment, so what help is that? I was told to call at 8 for a same day appointment but at 8:04 they are all gone and our vet is completely booked for the next day she's in as well. We might as well find a new vet or just hope for the best for our pet since we can't actually see the vet when we need to.

We have been going to Coordonices for all our pets for many years. The doctors and staff are wonderful and are incredibly caring to pets and humans. We recently brought in our dog who got a foxtail in her ear and they were able to remove it without sedation which was amazing given how far in it had gone! We cannot recommend them enough!

The one or two negative reviews I've read recently surprise me. I have only excellent opinions about the clinic and its staff. All of the people who work here are warm and welcoming, and obviously love dogs and cats. In particular, I have found Dr. Celia Olson to be particularly skilled and empathetic in dealing with my golden retriever puppy. My dog loves her, and doesn't mind going to the vet at all.
