Getting appointments for my babies is hard even though they are on the wellness plan. schedules are so far out. It's pointless to pay for wellness plan when they never have appointments. Only one doctor is ridiculous and he doesn't know to much, always trying to sell something, looks like they don't care our pets. The one in Pinole was better so bad they closed

I love the drs here but their hours are all messed up I called because our cat Peach who has a wellness plan it was time for her check up. Made an appointment for 7:30 am Saturday got here and they are closed. I got 3 different text confirmations for this appointment.

We have been trying to get a hold of them to get a prescription so we can go to Costco to get it filled . We have gotten nothing but a run around from themThey put you on hold for at least 20 min to 1hour , if it doesn’t say, they’re closed, even during work hours.Then when they get ahold of them they put you on hold again. This has been going on for two weeks.They are rude and condescending when you are able get them on the phone.I’m going to find another vetWish there was a way to give a negative star review.ProsNoneConsDoesn’t answer the phoneOne has one vet on staff ( that is what the receptionist told us)Rude on the phoneLong wait times for appointments (months) or phone calls (hours)Do yourself a favor and your pet, don’t take them here.

They don’t answer their phones and when they do, they place you on hold for 10-20 or don’t return to phone! I’m only stuck because when they closed Pinole’s location down, there’s no where closer! Their website don’t set appointments less than 60days so you have to call and beg??Pinole was WAY MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE DRIVEN?Their HORRIBLE!!!!!!!don’t go and don’t sign up for the wellness plan because you’ll NEVER get an appointment in time to use it?

This Pet hospital rarely has any availability.My auntie was paying for the insurance of her 3 dogs even after her dogs for 1 year after they had already died.Additionally I have been asking for them to email me picture of my dog's X-ray for almost a month now. They always make some excuse why they can't send me the X-rays or tell me that they will send me the documents but never do. I have been calling on a weekly basis for 1 month and half. Their interest in helping is non existing.The service has been horrible.

Super frustrated with Banfield. I have the top plan for my fur baby, paying $120 monthly. THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING!! Half of the time they don't answer the phone and ontop of that, they cancel appointments on the regular. Now, why would they have just ONE Dr. for the entire establishment??? Makes no sense. Ok, the more I type the more FRUSTRATED I become. DO BETTER BANFIELD! Customer Service just isn't the same anymore.

Staff makes repeated mistakes when scheduling appointments, super slow responses and lots of hesitation from doctor/staff when you need help with insurance claim. Walnut Creek branch has more availability and staff is more helpful and attentive

I took my cat in some weeks ago. She had an upper respitory infection for which they gave her antibiotics, and perscribed RC Recovery cat food. (They gave us 2 cans) she seemed to feel better. When we tried to get more they didnt have any and mentioned pet stores we can get it. (none in stock anywhere) We took her in again cuz she was peeing a lot, she was sleeping more. They did x-rays and a test for kidney disease, they took forever to update us when we were told it would be a couple hours for the x-ray expedited consult results (paid extra for the quick consult). Come to find she had kidney disease and is anemic. Banfield perscribed Royal Canin Renal Support (they didnt have any in stock and again none in stock anywhere), went to order online and was told that the doctor that saw her had to approve the order and not the doctor on duty and he wouldnt be there for 2-3 days. Was lucky enough that I was able to get it at a local vet near my house. Its also hard to get appointments. Seriously considering move her to a different vet.

They were very accommodating to my last minute appointment. Luckily her new vet has seen my dog in the past in another Banfield location so it all worked out perfectly.

They are closed Sundays Although everywhere online it says that they're open SundayIncluding their answering machine says that they open at 9 am. Super frustrating!

Would give zero if that was an option.The location is not currently open, but it has not changed it's hours, in any system that track their hours (their own website or google). I signed up for one of their wellness plans, then when I tried to get an appointment to them, could not get through on the phone, and their system said they didn't have appointments for 60 days. It's verging no a scam.

I’ve been bringing my frenchie here for 5 years. Everytime I need an appointment there are none available for weeks. My dog has epilepsy and a heart condition so he needs to take meds 3 times per day. I really only “count” on Banfield to refill his prescriptions, tbh. However, every single time his prescription refills run out my pharmacy requests the doctor’s approval and never hears anything back. So, I have to call Banfield, then the pharmacy, then Banfield, then the pharmacy, and so on until finally the prescriptions are filled. It’s so exhausting and absurd. Most recently, I’ve been waiting for 2 freaking weeks for a doctor’s approval for the prescriptions. The next time my dog has a seizure because he has no meds, guess who is getting hit with a malpractice lawsuit? My dog deserves better than this. I hate it.

This place is always disorganized and so hard to get an appointment at! I was introduced to banfield as though it was supposed to be an easy clinic... it's never been the case here.
