“I brought my brother and dad here after finding the company on Groupon. We had an amazing time blowing cacti. We chose different colors and the teachers made sure they came out looking beautiful. It was stressful, but I love the end result. Definitely recommend for families or anyone who is curious about glass blowing. “An excellent source for graphic novels for school age kids, especially if you want more diversity than the typical marvel or DC approach. When I found out my 1st grader was trans, this store helped me find age appropriate books that they could see themselves in. And they in turn learned stories about brown kids, black kids, and immigrants from other graphic novels there that I would never have known existed. Staff are excellent and know their stock.”

“I was wandering along in San Francisco on my way to visit the bookbinder museum when I met the owner of The Box SF, Mark. When I told him I was interested in books and other historical items, he graciously invited me to enter his shop.The outside is discrete and belies how magical the inside space truly is. When you enter, you're immediately blown away by the vintage art and artifacts everywhere. Mark and his assistant, Israel, gave me a mini-tour and explained how the shop specializes in ephemera, which refers to items that were designed for short-term use (advertising prints, perfume bottles, soap labels, etc).The shop contains items from the mid-1800s to the early-1900s from around the world. Everything is in great condition and attests to the craftsmanship of earlier time periods. What was supposed to be a quick 20-30 minute visit turned into a 2-hour visit.Everywhere you turn, there's something new to take in. I love antique and thrift stores, yet I have never encountered anything as unique as The Box. I found some souvenirs to take home with me and even the wrapping paper was this cool, historical print.The Box is a treasure trove for people who love vintage, antique, or novel artifacts. If that's your style, you have to visit.”
“This is a very clean and relaxing place to have a custom tattoo. Joe was very friendly when we first met as a walk-in, we continued communicating through emails with the idea for my tattoo. Once I arrived we chose the size and placement. I got comfortable and before I knew it we were finished.

“What a wonderful place.
Pier 24 photography gallery is full of knowledgeable people, they currently have an exhibit based off of many famous photo books.
I was so happy to see works from Vasantha Yogananthan, Masahia Fukase, Rinko Kawaichi, and Jim Goldberg. The photo books from which these works are taken from are well out of my price point so I was very pleased to be able to view them here. Entry to the gallery must be reserved in advance as they only let in 90 people a day.
This gallery is sadly closing on January 2025. Make some time out of your day to book a free appointment and make it down here.”
