Nice people but unbelievably disorganized. Booked an appointment to fix a flat tire and get a warranty repair done on my solterra. Was informed when I arrived that they didn't have the personnel to do the warranty repair, even though I made it clear I wanted it done when i booked the appointment. They also said updating the software is an all day affair. What are the doing, typing in code manually? This is the second time they have not been able to do the warranty repair. Which is to a critical safety system. Also, car didn't come with a spare, it has a high tech fix a flat system, which I used. After they fixed the flat, I asked them if they had replaced the fix a flat module. Evidently it hadn't occurred to them that it might be a bad idea to let me drive if with no spare and no fix a flat. Also the now module is $160 (and they didn't have it in stock) and using it can require replacing the tire pressure system. None of this was mentioned when I leased the car or in the manual. Next time I will just call AAA and have it towed to the nearest dealer.

Worst Subaru dealership I've been to after living in four different US states. Mainly because they advertise and communicate prices for parts and service but then charge a 80-100% markup for those same services with no explanation for why. This practice is not legal in the state of CA and is technically in violation of US consumer protection laws. If you ask them why they say "that's just the price", but in my experience they communicate a lower price and then uncharge with no explanation or warning.

The Best Dealership and Service Department Ever!! Just had my yearly maintenance check up 4/26/24. Service was outstanding, the staff friendly and caring, everyone was nice. The service representative was professional and saw few old faces that made my day. I highly recommend this location to anyone with a Subaru. Thank you Albany Subaru!!

I had a great experience at Subaru of Albany, utilizing their maintenance package for my 2022 Subaru Accent. Opting for the "90 minutes or less" service was perfect, especially as a busy father of four kids. Peggy was amazing and so polite, and very pleasing explaining everything to the T, While waiting, I had an engaging conversation with David from the trade-up program. As a Subaru ambassador and someone currently building a few Impreza's, our discussion naturally delved into the history of Subaru and its origins with Fuji Heavy Industries. The timely service and enriching conversation made my visit exceptional. I highly recommend their services to any Subaru owner who values both quality and efficiency.

I applied here the 2nd time and apparently the dame excuse the position has been taken the ad on indeed is old but, they keep posting the same customer service position on Indeed.
I am just thinking because I am a Crossdresser they won't interview me. It's a sad society we love in. It makes me sad that I own a Subaru thinking of selling it now.

Aaron was extremely helpful, proactive and responsive. Staff is generally wonderful and friendly. They fixed my cracked windshield without any complications and provided a loaner vehicle for the time my car was in the shop.

I had some less-than-satisfactory service experiences over the course of a year related to resolving an issue tied to recall work, but ultimately Albany Subaru escalated the issue and made things right. I'm glad to finally have my car back to 100%. Kudos to management for stepping up to keep a customer.

Walk away from this tiny Subaru service center. I was 30 minutes late for my appointment, the lady told me my appointment was canceled. My previous visit was bad too. They don't have tire while I requested new tires. I am so angry today, and booked the Oakland 27th street service center immediately. They replaced my tires and give routine service. They even called me a Uber home and they have rest area with drink and apple. Walk away from this Albany service center, the lady just murmured at her throat, even don't want to speak out..So disappointed. Will never go again.The manager contact me after this review and I got to understand that some of their technicians are sick and day off on my visit day. So I increased my rating to 3 stars

The attached photos show a conversation that happened right after my review was posted on Yelp. A person named Aaron (apparently the service manager of Albany Subaru) got in touch. After I asked for a refund, or a partial refund, he offered to refund the work that was done, IF I removed my Yelp review. That's unethical, which is what I told him. After that, someone named Scott posted the reply to my review below. I'm not interested in interacting with Albany Subaru anymore, so I have not replied or contacted them.

I’ve only been coming here for 1 year but so far they have been great. No issues whatsoever. My service point of contact has been Alan and he is wonderful.
