I love this store. It is filled with exquisite ceramics, jewelry, prints, and so much more. Everything is presented beautifully and is almost entirely locally sourced. The gallery always has thoughtfully curated shows of interest. Every inch of this place is a feast for the eyes and spirit.

This place is a total gem. I first encountered the gallery in 2020 when my photograph was included in an exhibit in the gallery. I was impressed by the way the owner made efforts to keep the gallery both safe and welcoming in a difficult time. He was also creative about sharing work and events online. I live in Oakland, so it isn't convenient to do much of my shopping there, but I do find it to be a treat to go in when I can. Some stores feel so full, it can be overwhelming and some are so spare, it is almost awkward, I am in and out. I find the store to be just right. It's relaxing to browse and there are enough things to see to keep you there for quite a while. The presentation is quite nice. Nearly everything in the store is handmade by a local artisan.

Super cute art shop, both with giftables and original artwork. I really enjoyed the Moonji--traveled from SF just to see it ?

Abrams Claghorn gallery adds so much to our town of Albany! Each month they mount a new gallery show. Also, they host a museum store full of locally made arty and functional items. Great place to buy a gift — from soap, jam, and cards to ceramics, fabrics and wood!

Abram Claghorn Gallery is located in a business district with shops and restaurants with easy street parking. I came here for my niece's first solo show, "Enter: Subconcious". Her art allows you to not only get a glimpse of her inner artistic mind, but the images may inspire you to see representations of things not seen by anyone but you. The gallery consists of the exhibit room on the left, which showcases art from local and emerging artists in a rotating monthly exhibit. The store is on the right and it displays art and crafts from over 70 local makers. Items include jewelry, pottery, glass works, wood, leather, fine art, cards and body oils and soaps. There are artisan candies, honey and jams too. So glad I was able to view my niece's first solo art show in a nice, local gallery supporting local makers.

i had walked past the storefront a few times but hadn't had time to step in. and i was mistakenly under the impression that it was strictly an art gallery because i hadn't given it a good look. while on the hunt today for a housewarming gift, i popped in and i'm so glad i did! they had so many great things by local artists and small businesses. i picked up a cute plant pot, jalapeño jelly, and two candles. other things that caught my eye: the handmade baby mobiles, art prints, leather goods, and other edible treats. i'll definitely be back! this will be my go-to spot for a thoughtful, unique, local gift.

I love this gallery+artsy shop! We’ve purchased 3 prints here and love them all, we especially enjoy that they’re local artists. There’s something here for everyone, from cheery to contemplative—textiles, ceramics, prints, and cute decor. Robbie (the owner) is a gem, as is his shop!

This is a small locally owned Art Gallery and Maker store on Solano Avenue in Albany. Great selection of art, sculptures and local crafter products. Now is a great time to support this small business as well as support our local artist and makers. You can order online or check out the store personally. Mask required and limited amount of people allowed at a time.

Hardly a 'gallery', this is primarily a crafts place serving the largely older, white, upper class, liberal arts educated straight population in the area. Most of the stuff in this place is artsy craftsy. If you like the junk that is peddled in such 'fairs' that pop up in metropolitan area - junky jewelry and tacky amateurish hobbyist type stuff, you will find this place satisfying and likely will find things that appeal to you. If you, on the other hand, are looking for art as in work by emerging artists and folks off the beaten track, go to Oakland and get on mailing lists for shows around or at the CCA and off the beaten path cafes and art groups hidden away around the area. That is where you will find actual art vs. crafty hobbyist stuff. Also, the owner (as mentioned in a review here) has only the experience of running this single crafts place (there are no other real galleries in the area) and possess little actual knowledge in art. The whole demeanor here is one of hobbyist and white upper class 'art as entertainment and hobby'.
