Today I went to the ATM of this Chase in Alamo, I made a transaction at the ATM , the machine took my cash and then I read on the screen it was an error the ATM didn’t give my money back and didn’t reflect any deposit. I entered to the bank at 4:55 pm and I was received by Leilani Rupp, I thought they weren’t going to help me because there were only 5 minutes left until they closed, she very kindly offered me her help immediately, she even called from the bank to report the incident and do the claim, Miss Rupp was incredibly helpful, I am so grateful for their help, efficiency, commitment, compassion, Miss Rupp and her coworker Francisco helped me after their working hours with the same kindness, I never felt So supported, I left the bank at 6:10pm when it had been closed for over an hour. A thousand infinite thanks for helping me, Miss Rupp told me at the last I put myself in your shoes. She did ! I felt it was my family who was helping me. Thank you soooo much for everything!

Thanks for function-disabling your one ATM to make sure I have to drive to the next town over to deposit checks. Shuttering the branch for COVID-19 was weak enough, but restrictor-plating the ATM? Weak way to show you appreciate our business...

I received very good service from the Branch Manager at the Chase Bank in Alamo, CA. Her name was Angelica Varela. She went "the extra mile" for me in advocating my receiving a special bonus offer for opening a business account there. She didn't have to do that but, doing so was very impressive! She really puts the customer first.

What a beautiful bank! I had such a wonderful experience. Contrary to previous reviews, the level of service I received was above and beyond what I have come to expect from a bank. I got to sit in their "Living Room" while my deposit was processed in the back. Multiple employees greeted me and made sure I was comfortable, offering coffee, tea or water. The whole process was smooth and felt more secure. I know that the layout is different and some people don't like change, but this is definitely a change for the better. Banking had become more comfortable and accessible, no more lines and more friendly and personalized service. So happy to finally have a Chase in Alamo!

Wow. I couldn't have had a more different experience at Chase today. When I walked in, I was greeted by a couple of people, one of whom was Jonathan in Private Banking. I conducted my business quickly and efficiently, and was told to have a nice day by yet another person on my way out. Sorry for the prior customer's experience, but mine had a happy ending.

The previous tenant in this location used to be Patio World. Well, I'm not in need of patio furniture, but I would find them 1000% more useful than the service I received from Chase Bank Alamo. We've been long-standing clients of Chase Bank, and are 'Private Clients' which is supposed to bring us "concierge banking" but I'd prefer efficient banking to what I received this past Saturday. For every client in the bank they had no less than 1.5 employees, and yet it took 20 minutes to get three (minimal) checks cashed. The poor service started with their Private Client Rep (I believe his name is Johnathan?). When he approached a couple standing to my left, offering assistance, they responded that they had been taken care of, and so I asked if he could help me - I had checks I needed to cash. He looked at the checks I handed him and then at me, as if I had three eyes, not saying anything, to which I interjected (half jokingly), "You do cash checks, here, right?" Turns out, he waited to pass off my request to a teller who soon came out from behind a nearby door. That's fine, everyone has their roles and responsibilities, and the Private Client Rep obviously couldn't help this Private Client, so the teller took the checks, my drivers license, and my Chase debit card and headed back behind the closed door. About 4 minutes later the teller returns, and tells me my drivers license was expired - due to a recent birthday, and I hadn't noticed. I asked if I could just enter my PIN with my debit card like I do at the Danville location, WC location, etc, and she said she needed a current photo id... to which I gave her my Costco card. She then proceeded to go in the back, again, where apparently all the "banking" is done, and I don't see her for 10 minutes. During this time, I run into a neighbor who also has difficulty with her transaction, and a local business owner who says she comes regularly, and has yet to have an efficient transaction, which keeps her away from her place of business too long. She said she's giving them allowances because they're a few weeks new, but will say something if it continues. I, personally, said something to the manager before leaving that efficiency is a priority when banking, and that the "boutique" atmosphere of their location was over-rated. Without teller stations, and them having to go behind a door, and come out for interaction with the customer seems to take A LOT longer. And, I noticed this with my neighbor as well... she just wanted to pick up paper sleeves to roll $1 coins, and it took a teller three trips behind the door, and the manager to come out for them to finally realize what she wanted, and that they didn't have what she was requesting. I'm only writing this because in sharing my experience with my husband, he had a similar experience at the same location on the same day. Hopefully if they realize it's a problem, they'll take note. Not to say I won't bank here, again, but I'll be going out of my way to get a warm greeting, and efficient banking from the downtown Danville location until they figure out how to perform simple taks, or at the very least, communicate efficiently. Cashing a check, making a deposit, or getting coin sleeves shouldn't require manager intervention, nor should it take as long as it did.. after all, time IS money...
