My brother is in the hospital so I am taking care of his cats. One of them was having trouble walking and needed her nails clipped. They took her in without an appointment, trimmed her nails and also removed some mats in her coat. The cat was much happier after that. Thank you, Bark Avenue!

I love this store because they really treat all of the dogs who come in like family. My dog gets so excited to come here because she knows the staff is always going to greet her with a treat and some belly rubs. Bark Avenue is also a great place to give your dog a bath, there setup has everything you need to get your dog looking brand new.

The young lady at the counter basically kicked us out as soon as the clock struck 5:30. Complete lack of customer service. Common courtesy would have been to begin her closing duties and allowed her customers to finish shopping.

Never shop here. The young girl at the checkout was rude and unfriendly. I wanted to exchange a gift given to my mini poodle that tore within minutes. Their policy is all defective toys must be returned to the manufacturer. Usually a small business is so welcoming, accommodating, and values their committed customers. Shop at Pet Food Express in Danville no here. There the employees are educated and provide exceptional customer service and so friendly.

I don’t think I’ve ever tried so hard to keep doing business with a place. I moved to this area a year ago and was so happy to find a local pet store that carried the brand of dog food and treats I buy.We have 5 dogs and have been spending 150-200$ a month here. I’ve had exactly 1 return for a bag of crushed treats and was warned they don’t deal with returns.Still, I let it go and kept coming back. But today did it—rude/indifference Every. Single. Time. . I’m DONE spending money at a place I’ve started dreading to go to. Small business have been crying for years about how they just can’t compete with the big box stores. YES they CAN! Customer Service is the Biggest Asset! And when I define customer service I’m not talking about anything more than kindness and willingness to help. It’s not that hard.

Sheryl groomed my two Maltipoo pups and did an amazing job! We have gone back and forth and I am the worst at scheduling in advance so fell off working with Bark Avenue. We have gone to multiple groomers in the area and the cuts, nails and cleanings having been disappointing. Only compliant is that booking is hard but that happens when you find something really good. Thanks for the amazing groom, Duke & Daisy!

Dog got sick on grain free dog biscuits from the biscuit bar. Also sold me a toy with a hole in it covered by a sticker. I was told I could contact the manufacturer of the toy....

Helpful cheerful employees. I wish they had more groomers! Tricky to get appointments, they are so close to my home so I miss the convenience of going there.

I wish I was writing a great review, as I used to love this store, but I had a terrible experience today which will keep me from going back. Fortunately, there are other great pet stores in the area. but I'm still frustrated about what happened. Yesterday I purchased a dog bed, only to get it home and discover that it was so slippery, my golden retriever would slide right off. This happened a couple of times, and then she wanted nothing to do with it. So I brought it back to the store today (new condition with tag on), and the women immediately asked me if I had a receipt. Of course I did not because they always ask if you want the receipt, and yesterday I said "no" since they access my account with my phone number every time I make a purchase which made me think they have a record of what I buy. Unfortunately, that is not the case. I then inquired why they ask if you want a receipt and was told it is because their system is slow and they don't want people to have to wait. It would have been good to know that taking your receipt is pretty important. I also have no idea why they they ask for your phone number as there is obviously no benefit to having your purchases recorded. It's so crazy. Anyway, hopefully this review will save someone else the pain of purchasing something at Bark Avenue and then not being able to return it. I guess the dog bed will make a good donation to one of our local shelters.

I went in to the store this week to buy my puppy some toys, food and snacks. I went in on Monday 10/10/2022. Today my child brought to my attention that the Sammy Snacks were expired- as of 9/22/2022. I called to inform them and they essentially said it's fine to give my dog expired treats because the FDA doesn't regulate dog food. I wouldn't give anyone or any animal expired food. I asked for a refund and was told I could not get a refund or an exchange without a receipt- as if I planned on you guys selling me expired food. I'm so disappointed. Never going there again.
