I have been so impressed with this Animal Hospital. My pup has been treated with so much care and everyone is always so kind and welcoming. They are wonderful with communication, and always call to check in after we visit to ensure everything is going well. Very glad to have found them.

We took our brand new puppy here for his first vet appointment, and had a wonderful experience. The staff was so great and helpful, and Dr. Lee was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and kind. She really cares about her patients, and took the time to answer every question we had without making us feel rushed. We found our new vet!

My 83 year old mother used this vet. She had a difficult time understanding what the vet was telling her about her 1 year old cat, which was incredibly sick and near death. She wanted my wife (a human doctor) to speak to the vet so that she could properly treat her sick cat. This started on a Monday morning. The vet asked that we call in to verbally authorize my wife to speak to the vet. This was fine. We did this early in the day on Tuesday. However, the vet would then not call my wife back. We called the vet repeatedly and the office staff rudely told us that they would "call back when they got around to it."On Friday, the office assistant told my wife that the vet "would probably call her next week."In the meantime, the poor cat was suffering. And we are left to scour the internet to figure out what to do.These people are seriously lacking in empathy. Both the vet and the office staff don't care. Go elsewhere.

This hospital does not keep 2 appointments a day for immediate diagnosis of your dog. The vets and staff are excellent once you get in.

If it wasnt for Dr. Barret I wouldnt give 5 stars (do not go to Dr. Lee) Dr. Barret is sweet, caring, extra careful, personable, and great with follow up calls. I love the staff at the front desk especially Jared or Jacob was his name but my dogs love him. Dr. Lee was the first doctor cause she had the most openings but she would lecture me instead of talking with me and at one point I got into a argument with her and that's when I ask for Dr. Barret and it's been really great with her. I hope they find other Vets other than Dr. Lee so others won't have to go through what I went through and my friends who had similar experience with her.

I am happy to report Dr. Barrett was kind of enough to call & address my concerns. We had an open & honest conversation about my frustrations. She provided insight on struggles the office is going through. For one, they are currently undergoing minor renovations. For this reason, they are continuing with the current covid protocols but hope to loosen their covid restrictions after the renovations are complete. Secondly, they are short staffed and looking for additional help. Last but not least, since covid, the number of pets within each family household have almost doubled, which has therefore doubled the number of their patients. It was eye opening for me to understand their struggles. Hearing where she was coming from changed my perspective and instilled more compassion. Furthermore, my other dog was suffering an ear infection and they were able to accommodate squeezing him into their busy Saturday schedule. I really appreciate Dr. Barrett reaching out & addressing my Yelp review. I'm sure it wasn't easy but it was well worth the candid conversation. With that said, I feel confident Alamo Hospital does put quality care as their first priority and are learning to evolve and adapt to this new world like the rest of us. Therefore, I'm encouraged for the future and plan to keep Alamo Hospital as our vet of choice.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I've been coming here for over a year now since I moved to the area and although I like some of the vets, I find the process to be confusing and a bit frustrating if I'm being honest. It's quite clear that they overcharge for simple procedures like ear infections and get somewhat disingenuous when people push back on their fees. They charged me $350 for a single ear cleaning and wanted me to come back for several follow ups until I found the exact same product online for $10 with some probiotic chews for a marginal cost of what they charge. But more than anything, I'm unable to actually go inside to speak directly to the vet everything is done over the phone or in the parking lot despite Covid restrictions loosening and the door is always locked. Their support staff is overwhelmed and and seem annoyed when you ask for clarity. The vet's recommendations are not listed anywhere on the invoice and the same treatment may have different instructions without any explanation. Follow up is rare these days. The owners seem to care more about profits and less about their patients. I would probably recommend looking around for a more reasonable service with so many excellent vets in the area.

Taken my 10 year old toy poodle to Dr. Lee. Purpose of the visit was to set up a baseline with my dog and also prescribe heartwarming medication and flea medicine and any other things that came along after the visit in his mouth. Treatment plan was quite costly so I have opted to bring my dog back after I think about it. Because I rejected the treatment at the time of this visit I was denied Having heartworming medication and anti-flea medication. It is extremely disappointing to see a clinic right in the middle of Alamo with supposedly big reputation and deny a basic flee and heartworm medication simply because of the Larger gains in the treatment plan for this clinic. Office personnel said the doctor left the office but here I am sitting in my car outside of the clinic ( covid restrictions that you can't go in) And no one has left the building I am left I believe of the bad customer service bad patient care. Very very disappointed after spending two hours at the site

The best pet care right here in Alamo. Have seen them since our dog (only 2yo) was a pup. They are courteous, professional and it’s obvious that they love animals. They may be busy at times but certainly worth the wait!

What a great experience. We transferred both of our pets (dogs) here after moving to the area and I'm amazed at how much time the doctors spent with the patients and the owners (it never feels rushed ). The other staff are equally polite. I would recommend Alamo Animal Hospital to anyone!
