I went to another local salon for a curly cut and emerged with a dreadful straight bob that my naturally curly hair just couldn't sustain for more than a minute. Jenene saved my hair and thus my entire life! I was so very glad to find her and will never let anyone else cut my hair again.

Brought my daughter to Jenene about a year ago. Super expensive and she did an awful job. My kid wanted a few vibrant hot pink highlights and the rest of her hair dark (she's naturally got brown hair). Not only did it take her longer than it should have, the highlights we're all chunked up on one side, she over processed it, and whatever pink color she put on literally lasted two washes - I had to go to the beauty store and buy something and apply it myself. Terrible experience. Never again. I literally could've done a better job myself. My daughter was pissed. The highlights were so bizarre that after a few weeks she just dumped black color over her whole head. What a waste. The star is because I thought Jenine was nice and I liked the 80s punk rock vibe. Oh and because Yelp won't let you give zero.

After years of Mama trims at Supercuts, I've found my ride or die hairdresser. Jenene gave me a haircut that, even a few days and a couple washes later, makes me feel comfortable in my skin again. I wanted femme-y but edgy and my fine, bodyless hair doesn't leave too many options. I had some ideas and she tried them out with me until it came out exactly the way I'd envisioned. I've already referred a few friends and am going to schedule my next cut (I never do that - but I think I'm a person who gets regular haircuts now).

OMG !!! This place is a hidden gem ! I found this cute salon on a walk on my Lunch break and I made an appointment online. I met with my gal on Monday and I am so pleased with the results!! I'm definitely going back for my highlights and deva hair cut !

i have never been to the same hairstylist twice until i met jenene at starbaby. she always has great ideas for bringing out the best in my hair: from the cut and styling to the products to use. i should add that i am super low maintenance. i'm the type of person who you will regularly see with a ponytail or bun. jenene takes all of this into account so that i can have wisps of hair hanging if i have my hair up, or layered and super cute if i want to get dressed up and have my hair down. i love every haircut/hairstyle she gives me. go to jenene. she's the best!

Rebecca has been cutting my hair for about a year now. The experience is always warm and pleasant as well as professional. I recently got balayage highlights for the first time and Rebecca’s skill and attention to detail shows in my new look! I get tons of compliments and, more importantly, I feel happy and confident with my new hair! I had my first haircut with Jenene and I was so impressed! She listened carefully, made suggestions, and worked with all my preferences to give me a great curly cut. The cut, products and styling tips she recommended really revitalized my dried out, poufy hair and gave it a great shape. She definitely knows what she's doing with the curls. As a nice bonus she's also fun to chat with and has great book, movie and TV recommendations to offer. Thank you, Jenene, for the awesome haircut! I can finally wear my thick, wavy hair down. I'll be back.
