I agree with most of these low reviews. No customer service and the place smells like wet dog. They do act like they are doing you a favor.

No price tags on the alcohol so you really don’t know how much things cost unless you ask the cashier. Bought a pack of my favorite beer and it was (sadly) off and tasted disgusting so will not be returning again.

Santos Market opened where Malaya Botanicals was. It's more of a liquor store than a convenience store. There's a limited selection of craft beers, ciders, soft drinks, seltzers, wines, hard liquor, snacks, & candy. Not all the beers are priced. There are "singles" of various brews. Drink: Bell's "Two Hearted IPA" (4.53/19.2 oz) 7%alc. -named after a gas river near the brewery in MI. -typical traditional American IPA with slight bitterness and some fruity notes of grapefruit, pineapple & lemon which i didn't taste. Love this style more than the trendy "hazy" style. 95 rating from Beer Advocate. -made from 100% centennial hops. Quick checkout once i perused all available craft brews. Meter parking. Didn't see where the private lot was.

"Santos Market & Liquor" has moved from their corner location (at Taylor & Webster), to this new spot next door to Orchid Pavillion Cafe and Canasta Kitchen. I like this new store. It's clean, bright, and modern. The old store was crowded and cluttered. I asked the clerk why they moved, and he said the other building was too old. This store has modern coolers stocked with beer and a variety of drinks. There's a wine wall, and hard liquor behind the counter. There's also candy, snacks, and ice cream. I didn't see any general grocery items like coffee, sugar, canned soups or bread. Maybe they'll stock it in the future. Park on the street, or use the West End Public Parking lot that's about 1/2- block away. Support Local Business!

This place is a scam. Prices aren't marked and I get charged a different price every time. Never going back.

As someone who lives nearby and stops by here all the time, I don't understand the poor reviews. The owner is the best: super nice, friendly and incredibly gracious. I think it speaks more towards the attitude and rudeness of customers themselves. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and god bless the owner for putting up with the BS from these reviewers, who have nothing better to do than complain about a neighborhood corner store.

So, i went in there around the holidays, and their was an asian guy there, he was nice I'm assuming Now, because I spent money, but last week, I went in there to cash my tickets in. They didn't have the scratchers I was looking for, and I asked ahead of time, before they scanned my tickets. I had 50$ in cash back i was supposed to get, but when they scanned my tickets, the white woman said, you have 40$ in cash, and a free 10$ ticket, I told her already, they didn't have the ticket I needed, so I needed the 50$ cash, she said, you can't get the 10$ back, so I told the asian guy, I need the other 10$, and he said, can't help you. I told them I worked in law enforcement and what they were doing was illegal, she said, "I don't care who you work for". SO, I ended up leaving with 10$ short, and called the police. THe police met me there, and the woman said, "she's not allowed in here". THey are very disrespectful and Racist, and stoled my money. I have been playing scratchers for almost 30 years, and you're supposed to be able to get your cash back, even on a free ticket win.. NEVER Go to this store.

Agree with others, owner needs an attitude adjustment. Rude, rude, rude! Should have walked out and went to the other store. No greeting. No thank you. Acted like he was doing me a favor! I’d never step foot into this store if they were giving items away for free!

Just because I walked by Santos Liquors does not mean I visited the store. I will not patronize this business due to lack of good customer service. Owner needs an attitude adjustment.

I used to like coming to this liquor store years ago. No more! Their refrigerator does not keep the beer cool or chilled. Then the owner (Korean guy) is such a j**** My husband I were there a month ago and we encountered the rude demeanor that he displays. Dude needs an attitude adjustment. Besides he is never opened on time. We stopped patronizing this business. We refuse to go there to purchase scratch off tickets and snacks. I don't recommend this liquor store. Go elsewhere such as Bonfare.

TERRIBLE customer service!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I have heard of the bad service before but I witnessed it myself and would much rather take my business elsewhere.
