2057 Encinal Ave, Alameda“This is a great place that I often go to for plant gifts. I would rate it 5 stars except that sometimes they are closed for lunch when I go which does not show up in Google hours so I’ve had to wait for them to get back from lunch.”

6004 College Ave, Oakland“This shop is a sweet little piece of heaven. Their plants are lush and gorgeous, lots of goods from local artists, a cute little Studio Ghibli section, and meaningful events focused on mental health and well being. I love this place and the special folks that run it. I'm so impressed with their commitment to the community. It's a great place to shop and on top of that, a portion of the proceeds go towards supporting mental health initiatives in the community.”
“Had a wonderful experience with Lee's. I searched for a florist serving the Berkeley residential area, and one with interesting and modern designs. And Lee's not only fit the bill but did a beautiful job. The bouquet was as pictured and described - that is, beautiful. Also, I loved the updates by text and email, including one of the bouquet as it was about to be delivered. Calming when you're sending flowers thousands of miles away.”
“I adore this shop! Great selection of plants at a good price and the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Great customer service and the shop is super cute.

“It’s such a vibe …perfect place for a mother to listen for my next plant babies to whisper to me?. Also everyone is very knowledgeable and attentive. The plants are priced reasonably and are quality plants”

14410 Washington Ave Suite 104, San Leandro“Out and about on New Year’s Eve eve and remembered I needed a gift for our hostess’ birthday for her New Year’s eve birthday celebration the next day. Googled up “succulents near me” and found this amazing place. The second we pulled up we could see all the cool plants and once we got closer, it was obvious that the pottery was also really cute and the plant choices were clearly designed to match the personality of the pots.We wandered around and around and finally decided on a pot we thought reflected her style. However, it was planted with a succulent that wasn’t speaking to me. When I told the owner that, she said “oh you hurt my heart!” And then smiled and told me she’d take it out and design something special with multiple plants. I left her to it and when she came out with the finished design, it was exactly what I hoped for. She was so sweet and so kind….it was just a great experience all around. You can create your own or even just buy the plants if you already have your own dirt and pots. Plus she told me about workshops she’s done with groups that sounded super cool. I’m hoping for a succulent wreath workshop next year before the holidays!1000% will go back. Great vibes!!”
“The best Plant Shop in the area because of the co-owners! My partner and I came in for the first time this Sunday and Queen was so helpful and informative. We walked away with three new beautiful plants and learned a lot about how to take care of our existing plants as well. Will definitely come back for more plants and more expertise. Love supporting local”
“Repeat female customer here. I manage a no-spray, organic veggie/flower farm and rely on Hida's carbon steel (CS) tools for quality, edge retention, and beauty; I am ALWAYS impressed. I have multiple Hida CS shears and pruners and so long as they’re wiped clean after use, they do appear to resist rust. Well-made and long-lasting, the Chikamasa T-600 shears are my latest addition. Thank you Hida Tool!”

1330 Solano Ave, Albany“I could not be a bigger fan of Flowerland. The combo of drinks, plants, pretty garden furniture and a curated gift shop is my slice of heaven. Take all my money! Carly, the owner, has such exquisite taste. And her long-time employees are talented and incredibly hard-working. This is a local gem and I intend to do my part to make sure they stay in business for a good long time. :)”
“Flowers for my daughter in law’s baby shower were absolutely stunning. We have used Millers for 25 years. The prices have increased and after Covid got much higher but so has everything. They are worth it”

Thanks again.?

“I made 3 keys at Home Depot, but don’t work. Cole hardware stuff found it issue, and made a key works. The original key is little bent , they can help made a copy key even the original is bent !”
“Wish I could give them 10 stars! And I wish I had known about them sooner instead of shopping at Home Depot for my landscaping supplies.I just discovered them from a recycling forum I am in. And although they don't sell recycled gravel - their prices and selection of the new gravel can't be beat. Plus they allow you to take a few samples for free so you can take home to see if the color and size works. This alone is better customer service that you can at Home Depot. But it gets ever better. Most of their staff is EXCEPTIONAL. I say most because there was a BIG difference in the staff at the counter in the morning versus the afternoon staff. Go in the afternoon and ask for Joe H or Feylin. Feylin was especially helpful because I was first time customer and was a bit overwhelmed initially and needed information to make my decision. Joe provided the back up when I came back later to place my order. The morning crew - maybe because it was 6:30am - was more like the staff at Home Depot. But what really motivated me to write this review was because of the service I received from Keith who packed 28 bags of gravel for me. First, Keith agreed to do it near the end of this shift after working a long day. He was so pleasant and nice while packing these heavy bags in my carTo see how hard he was working - and once again with such a wonderful attitude - is type of customer that is practically non existent at similar companies. I asked to speak to his manager, Lalo to tell him how impressed I was with KeithI was shocked that Keith and many of the other staff prefer to fill the bags of gravel by hand instead of using automated equipment. I hope Bee Green gives all the physical labor staff a gift certificate every month to get a full body massage!Loving the gravel I put in my driveway and outside my she shed.”
“What a great find. Came to check out California native plant's next door and “discovered “ this beautiful, well kept nursery. They have a nice, vibrant, well kept selection of native plants , sun and shade loving variety, lots of other indoor and outdoor plants. I appreciate the fact the staff was friendly, helpful and informative( this is a great plus given the few grumpy nursery owners I have encountered recently if you ask more then one question).Another big plus is their prices which are sure reasonable, allowing me to choose a nice diversity of pollinating plants that serve local bird and insect population, some medicinal plants as well”
“So much variety in the plants and really helpful staff to help choose what to buy. They really support the native healthy garden, and have very knowledgeable staff.”
“Prices are absurd but they do have an incredible collection of cacti. If you are looking for a very specific type and don’t mind paying a high price tag for it, then this is the best place for you. Oh and the also have tortoises”
“A lovely garden shop for many cacti and plants that should thrive in California. Great variety of plants, but I also found it very expensive. I’ll probably come often to browse but will be careful about which plants I fall in love with.”
“Update: I love this place, but agree with another reviewer that the quality of plants isn’t always great. Blueberries covered in worms (at the nursery.) Tomatoes got early blight (after bringing home, could also have been made worse by crazy rains this year but it started 1-2 wks after I got them.)One of a kind. Love the unique plants I’ve found here. The owner has deep plant knowledge.”

1272 Gilman St, Berkeley“Westbrae Nursery is a dream come true! I was immediately amazed by the diverse selection and top-notch quality of their plants, indoor and outdoor alike. But what really sets this nursery apart is the EXQUISITE customer service. The young woman working at the counter was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. My purchases have thrived, a testament to her amazing advice and feedback. I highly suggest consulting her as my garden has never looked better.”
“I have wanted a monstera forever and they had that for a good price, as well as countless other beautiful philodendrons, more varieties of snake plant than I knew of, cute fittonias and gorgeous prayer plants. So much to look at, I will have to return when I’m driving so I can bring more babies home!”

10 Cargo Way, San Francisco“Bay Natives is truly unique. An arty nursery where you can see alot of beautiful, native plants grown in a "funky as the old San Francisco" setting. There's places to sit, bring a thermos or a picnic and relax. You can bike there, take a Heron's Head hike, sit at the skate park by the creek on Illinois, visit Building Resources, hear live music at the New Farm which borders City Grazing. Goats, chickens, live music, two gorgeous nurseries, eggs for sale it's a chance to get off your screen and walk around a truly unique area of San Francisco. Worth every second and every dollar thank you!”
“Fantastic place to get beautiful plants at great prices! The gardeners are friendly and knowledgeable. Nursery is laid out according to where in the Bay the plant is from, so I could easily find plants suited to my garden. Laid back, non profit, and a lot of fun to walk around (since there is a load of info posted about every plant) - doesn’t get better than that!”

27735 Industrial Blvd, Hayward“Their commitment to customer satisfaction stands out. I purchased a costly, but beautiful fountain for my backyard, and it arrived with a crack. Rick Moore and Florence & New Italian Art went above and beyond to address my concerns and ensure my peace of mind. Their delivery team was refreshingly honest and transparent. They pointed out the crack in the fountain upon delivery, which allowed me to thoroughly inspect it before accepting the product. Although the crack was not in an obvious place, it was tough for me to assess whether it would get worse over time. I expressed my concerns about its potential to worsen beyond the warranty period. Rick displayed exceptional professionalism and a genuine commitment to my satisfaction. While in his best opinion, the crack would not worsen, they were willing to exchange the fountain or offer an extended warranty specifically addressing any potential worsening of the crack. This level of commitment and willingness to go the extra mile distinguishes this operation as a top-notch establishment. They genuinely care about their customers and, at least with me, strived to build a long-lasting relationship based on trust and integrity. Beyond their exceptional customer service and standing behind their products, they offer a diverse and well-curated selection of high-quality and gorgeous fountains. Exceptional service and commitment to customer satisfaction have won a loyal customer in me.”
“Last week, I purchased a pizza slicer from another store, but it broke when I attempted to use it. I came to Laurel Ace to get a replacement because I know that its products are sturdy.
Marcos, the associate who assisted me, not only directed me to the proper aisle, but, to my surprise and gratification, TESTED the slicer to make sure that it would hold up! As if this wasn't enough, I also told me that I could bring it back if I had any problems.
I ALWAYS get great service at my neighborhood Ace, but young Marcos is among the BEST associates who I've ever been blessed to deal with. You can NEVER lose by going to Laurel Ace, particularly if he assists you.”
“This is a terrific family owned nursery that has been in Orinda for many decades. The staff is always helpful and delightful to deal with and their rose classes are especially good.”

319 105th Ave, Oakland“This place is a fruit tree lovers paradise. I can get lost for hours browsing their inventory, which I must say is "A LOT"! From tropicals, sub tropicals and everything in between. They do carry more than fruit trees, so check out their website for any other interest. Prices are great for what selections and varieties they offer.Last, but not least. I received great customer service from Yeni. She was really cool and went out of her way to help me out. Thanks again!! Hope to see you guys in the spring or summer when everything is in bloom.”

2089 E 14th St Suite E, San Leandro“Excellent customer service and very fair prices. I highly recommend Mack's gardening as they truly work to help the customer, go out of their way to get you what you need and for me, went above and beyond in their customer service. They are kind and hold the values of a company that truly wants to make each customer feel like they matter.”
“This is such a wonderful plant store! I was excited to find it so close to my house when I moved here and even more excited after interacting with the employees and receiving such helpful support with my plant shopping and plant care. Even when I don’t really think I want another plan right now I love going to Encinal just to look around at all the beautiful plants and pots.”
