Saturday at 5 one cashier open and huge line; huge line at self check out. No express lane. What do the high prices as this location justify? In the future I’d avoid this place for disrespecting its customers by understaffing its store

This review is mostly for Carson the cashier. I’m a middle aged guy, and like to think I’m pretty easy going. I don’t go to this store often, and I registered for the rewards program while waiting in line. The total seemed higher than expected, and I asked Carson if the grapes were on sale.
He had a very sarcastic answer and was condescending as he said “I obviously don’t have time to check right now” and waved a hand at the line behind me. Then he went on a long rant about how he was working over and just wanted to go home.
His response was totally unnecessary. I he really needs some classes on customer service or just to treat people in a normal way. I get it that he’s working over and tired. Maybe the store should staff more cashiers. Two cashiers for the whole store seems like it isn’t enough. I hope he and the store can learn and improve. I might go back some day, but not anytime soon.

Need more employees. There's a disconnect between sale price and what you might be charged on some items. Likely a corporate failure but management should notice this, too.

Ordered a birthday cake for my 7 days ago and it was it wasn't even done it 13pm it was supposed to be ready at 11am so sad it's 12pm now

Good place for grocery shopping. Large parking lot and other businesses are in this strip mall including a gas station.

I love this grocery store. They have a huge selection of items. Are they the most affordable grocery store? No. But they have everything you can want and they have a security guard at the door. Some people find that to be comforting (others may find it to be off-putting). If you want a grocery store with plenty of variety, I recommend this one.

This store was great until 2018, it had good service but since that year, the service has gone downhill slowly and then in 2023 it collapsed rapidly now there is no more than 2 check stands open. The shelves are mostly empty and are out of stock of things for weeks. They discontinued things without customer knowledge. If you want better service go shop at the other store in Alameda which has 3 locations in the city.

Overpriced, old produce, and always missing half my grocery list. And the lines are looong, because mgmt hopes you'll ring yourself out at their janky self-checkout.
I wish this was a Trader Joe's.
