This rating is for the parking lot at Gate 11.The people on the office are great and doing the best they can with the situation. I’ve lived here since 2012 and still call it home, but this is getting ridiculous.6 cars stolen in last 28 months. Catalytic converter theft. Zero protection and access restriction.People living in their cars are allowed to overnight in the lot.Between the police, on-site security (total joke) and paid monitoring service (also a joke) nothing ever changes. There have been boats stolen, boats broken into, homeless encampments under the shipway launch ramp.Something needs to change other than the rent which keeps going up.First pic glass from my broken windowSecond pic one of our car campers

Great day for sailing in the San Francisco Bay. Beautiful sunshine, clear sky’s and lots of wind. Started from Alameda Marina, went to Angel Island under the Bay Bridge. We anchored sail boat for some water activities.Ended the sailing by sailing towards the city, and visiting McCovey Cove near the Oracle Park and then heading back to the Marina!Marina is very clean, and plenty of parking.

Love the staff and personability of them all.Sadly with all of their efforts of security within the harbors and parking lots it is overridden with continuous crime that costs people loads of money and a lack confidence of a safe environment. Sadly we left the state because of this common situation in the Bay Area.We do hope that you received our Thank You card upon our departure this past February- it was delivered, personally by me with tears in my eyes. God bless, be well and keep up your hard work. We are grateful that you invited us as liveaboards at Gate 11. Best Always!

Facilities are great! Nice and clean. Our RV park experienced guests gave it 5 stars. We don't leave *anything* visible in a parked car and haven't had problems. Unfortunately, that's now the Bay Area way.

I just discovered this gem. The trail that stretches 3 miles around the water is gorgeous . Also, it's a safe place to walk even when alone.

I am am the new kid on the block and ended up here by accident, the boat I bought happened to be here and needed to stay while I waited for a water pump. I had plans to go to another Marina where I have a friend. I think I am staying here, I love it.Lucky for me I didn't read the reviews first. The staff here is beyond friendly. There is no Harbor Master officially but Sandra is amazing, very organized, professional, she even helped me off hours on a holiday from home when I couldn't figure out how to get shore power to work. Sabrina at the front desk is friendly, organized, sweet, and is very responsive to emails. The bathrooms and showers are nice, clean, updated. The cement docks are solid, well maintained. There is wear and tear here and there because it is a marina, it is well traveled, it doesn't feel neglected or ugly. The gates are heavy steel and you need an electronic key to enter. Even at low tide I don't know how anyone would be able to get in or wouldn't be noticed. There are cameras at the gates. The slips are clean, the people are kind. There are always boat keepers diving, cleaning interiors, exteriors. They are always quiet, sweet, professional. I have been there a month, no one has broken in or entered my car and I have left it unlocked a few times when it was empty, saves me a broken window if someone is determined. Garbage is at the gate, it is taken out daily to bigger bins. This is very helpful. There are heavy duty carts that are great and almost always available for loading up and loading out. To the person who complained about houseless people, this just is, it is not just in this area. It is hard to look at because it tells a story, harder when you are passing people who are struggling as you make your way to the yacht harbor. Drop off extra sleeping bags, bottled water, jackets, a tent you no longer use, give someone a meal or a couple bucks. A few times we have seen a few people who are mentally ill pushing a cart along the walkway. It is pretty, there are ducks in the pond, it is a public trail, everyone is welcome and should be. No one has ever asked for money or has been harmful towards us. The trail is nice, lots of people who work in this area do lunch times walks or morning runs. The only thing negative I could say is that it is a little pricey. You get what you pay for. The estuary is lovely, the people are nice. Not a lot of live aboards mostly weekend sailors. Most of the boats here are beautiful. I haven't seen many derelict boats. When you apply they do want to see a recent survey, and insurance, I think that helps.Don't tell anyone, this is a secret gem.

Just sold my boat and ended my slip lease. This was the second time I've had a boat at MVYH. It's not cheap, but is clearly the best managed marina I've ever seen. Always a pleasure.
