I had a great experience overall at Janene’s. The selection of dresses is absolutely fantastic and Sabrina was an excellent help, pulling the perfect dresses for me. I fell in love with more than one dress! That being said, when I did try on “the one” I knew it! Some tears were shed and I didn’t want to take it off. So fun! We loved the interior of the store and the dressing area, very pretty and glamorous. The only complaint I have is that there wasn’t an offer to put a veil on with the dress and no one offered for my group to take a photo with the “I said yes to the dress” sign or any photos of our group at all, which made me sad and didn’t feel very celebratory. I’d even shared that these were people visiting me from out of town to go dress shopping and the experience was very important to me. We just swiped the card to buy the dress and then were quickly shuffled out. Regardless, I found my wedding dress and I’m happy about that! Thank you, Janene’s!

Very happy shopping for the dress at Janenes in Alameda. The store had a DJ playing fun music and it was a gorgeous spot with many beautiful dresses. My attendant was jacob and he was so fun and great at pulling dresses that met my interest. Definitely check out this place if you're a bay area bride!

Avoid purchasing your dress here! Mine was 3 mo delayed with zero communication from Janene's.
After a great shopping experience, I purchased my wedding dress here in fall 2023. The consultant let me know my dress would arrive in March 2024. After no communication from Janene's, I called in late March to check on status. They then let me know there was a delay, but they weren't able to provide any ETA or additional information. TLDR - I had to keep calling weekly and finally received my dress on July 1 (>3 months delay). Janene's made no effort to apologize, keep me updated on status, or provide any proactive communication. It was an extremely stressful and upsetting experience.
After spending thousands on a dress, and tipping hundreds to the consultant - it's shocking to me that's how the situation was handled. I was left scrambling for alterations. And, even after 3 months delay, the pick up appointment was required to be on a weekday rather than weekend so they could prioritize new purchasers.
Perhaps fun to shop at, but I would absolutely NEVER recommend to anyone to purchase from here.

They said they accept walk in . But we wait for around 40 mins for the store to open again and then they said they are booked for like at least 2 hours. Such a waste of time.

My overall experience at Janene's has been great. There's been hiccups here and there, but I appreciate their support and care along the way. Shout out to my first stylist Leia! So fun and lovely to be around. Sabrina made me feel comfortable, I didn't feel rushed even though I was likely tight on time, and I never felt pressured in any way. Lastly, Maesa has been very helpful when I reached out to them regarding a mix up and concern I had. The only other feedback I have is I felt ignored during their sample sale as it took a long time for someone to greet me and help guide me. I ended up browsing, but at first glance the sizes didn't seem to be in my range so I left since I didn't see anyone attending to those with no appointments. Obviously I didn't take it personally because I still returned and said yes to my dress. Excited to continue working with Janene's to ensure the dress is perfect on my special day.

September 2022. I made a huge mistake before I visited Jaene's; I waited too long because I thought I would be disappointed. Im a plus-size lady, and I found something right away. The 3rd dress I tried on. They had a huge plus-size selection. The staff was so patient and helpful. I had 3 months for tailoring, and the dress was perfect. My guests were astonished to see me so heavenly. Thank you, Janene and staff!!!

I had a great experience trying dresses at Janene's. My stylists Kalina & Myasa were wonderful, kept bringing different dresses based on my thoughts, easy to talk to,, patient and made me feel really comfortable. They were great!

This store was awesome! Chanel is by far the best person I've worked with when dress shopping. She listens to what you are looking for, how you want to feel and makes it fun because she is hilarious!
I measure as a size 16 in wedding dresses and they had plenty of options!

I visited Janene's last year, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The boutique is beautiful and welcoming, which made the whole process feel special.
Maya, the sales assistant who helped me, was more than wonderful. She understood my vision, budget, and patiently helped me look for beautiful dresses that check all the boxes. Her suggestions and feedback were super helpful, and I never felt pressured to purchase from Janene's.
The whole experience was stress-free and enjoyable, which made finding my wedding dress a lot easier. I also continued my dress hunting journey with other boutiques in the Bay Area but ultimately purchased my dress from Janene's. Not only were their prices competitive, Maya and the team were just awesome.
If you're looking for a bridal boutique that truly cares, I highly recommend Janene's. Their great service, beautiful selection, and genuine care made all the difference.

Her approach to dress selection, fitting dresses and providing recommendations based on my preferences was remarkable - I truly believe I would love and feel amazing with my entire wardrobe if I could pick out all my clothes with her help. I highly recommend Janene's to anyone who either has no idea where to begin or has a clear idea of what they want for a wedding dress - because they have just about everything. Maesa was my stylist and was so, so kind and helpful, and made the experience very fun for me and my guests. I got to try on several dresses during my initial appointment, and when I went back for my 2nd appointment, I purchased my dream dress and Maesa made it so easy. I am a wedding planner by profession, so I wanted to find the best of the best to shop for a dress and I feel like I did!

Fair warning do your research and read into Reddit reviews before going. I wanted to like this place but had a very poor experience. Their business practices are very shady.

I visited Janene's Bridal Boutique and was amazed by the ambiance of the shop, wide selection of dresses, and friendly service. I lucked out with Kalina as my stylist - I was a bit nervous as it was my first time dress shopping and wasn't quite sure of the style I was going for, but she was so warm and encouraging, she made the whole experience perfect and produced some wonderful selections. I ultimately realized I needed to decide on a venue in order to say yes to the dress, but when I do I will be sure to visit Kalina at Janene's again!

I had a great stylist who worked diligently with me to help find the exact style I was looking for, which lead to the PERFECT dress. Jennifer and the rest of the girls were always so helpful when it came time to alterations and always made me feel comfortable and beautiful! All in all, I had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend!

I had a great time wedding dress shopping at Janene's. My Stylist Maesa was incredibly helpful and made this appointment go amazing. We started out the appointment showing him my inspiration pictures and then Maesa gave me 4 clips to clip onto four dresses I liked. Once we clipped our dresses Maesa pulled them and even suggested a couple outside my main style to make sure I really liked the style I was going for. Once I tried on the initial round Maesa pulled more dresses. In the second round of dresses Maesa found the perfect dress for me! In total I tried on about 7 dresses.
Once we found my dress I was able to try it with a couple of different veils to picture how I would look. Maesa then took my measurements and we discussed payment options. I had so much fun and excited for my dress to come in a few months.
