This is a great school! Jeremy, the instructor, runs a solid class that places a strong emphasis on conditioning, footwork, and technique. His classes offer practical self defense that inspires confidence and self determination, as well as encourages continuous training and improvement. As a parent I strongly recommend this school for kids. The adult class is also well rounded. You will get a great work out, while learning proper footwork, and technique.

We have done summer camp here for our 5 year old and regular weekly classes. The level of attention, kindness, and integrity here is outstanding. My son is learning so much more than just " how to kick" hes learning about how to be in the world, how to honor himself and others, and what kind of young boy he wants to be. Amazing owner and staff.

As a parent who himself took a lot of martial arts in his life, it was very important to me to get my two girls involved early. Intensity Martial Arts was the second school we tried and I could not be happier. The first school was a Jiu Jitsu school and while I would love my girls to learn to grapple, it wasn't a good school which to me is much more important. What makes intensity such a great school for kids is a few things:* They do a great job of wrangling the kids into disciplined order (no easy feat esp with young boys) but still keep it fun and friendly. They never ever let the classes get out of control (which is why we left the Jiu Jistu school) but they also never give the kids a guilt trip about paying attention or scare them into submission (which I have seen in the past).* They focus time on the non-martial intangibles like honesty, integrity, focus, and courage that really are what I want my girls to learn.* When it does come to teaching fighting techniques for the kids, it's always in a context of staying safe, getting away from bad people, protecting yourself or your loved ones, and practicing without getting hurt. In fact when Sabumnim teaches a technique and shows the kids how it applies to the real world it almost always ends with something like "and that gives you the space to run away to safety." PERFECT SPOT ON THANK YOU.* The kids that stay in the school and advance to black belt (and who stick around to teach) are just downright wonderful people. Kind, focused, skilled, and caring. They are the kind of people that a parent wants around serving as role models for the youngers. That says as much good about the school as anything else could.* My kids (currently age 9) have been in the school about a year and change and I have seen them gain confidence, fitness and skills. Exactly as I would hope. They also run a GREAT summer camp that I highly recommend.I'll be sending my girls to Intensity for as long as I can.
