Ordered the family meal for $30. Got home and it was missing the samosa and chutney (which I asked for 3 times). So I called to let them know we were missing items-- person on the phone immediately said no, we must be mistaken. So strange-- of course we could see what was in the single bag we were given or not. Then he suggested that my daughter must have secretly eaten it (in the seat next to me in the car? With all the chutney?). To insist you never make a mistake is very very odd-- he said we have done this for a year and always count the items. Well, not today-- no big deal if you just acknowledge it-- (I just thought he would offer to find the items so we could come get them)-- instead this goofball just came up with all sorts of inconceivable ways we might have "lost" the items that were missing, and said there was no way they made any error, as they don't make mistakes. WOW! So strange and not very customer friendly, for no reason at all.

They finally got the go ahead to have food. We picked up the Tika masala and went back for more later. Definitely going to try more next time.

I'm so happy we finally have indian food nearby. I like to pop in after work and get their combos for dinner. My family loves it. They do have a lot of chicken chunks in their chicken Tika and curries which we appreciate. The samosas are good as well. I've tried some of the frozen food offerings and were satisfied with those. What a great addition to this side of alameda. Will make this our goto place.

The Chicken Tikka is great. Lots of chicken and the sauce is amazing. The chicken is a bit dry, but compared to India palace you get way more for $1 cheaper. The samosa are tasty and the naan is buttery. The rice lacks flavor and texture. The service was friendly and fast. The ambiance is that of a corner store, but no crack heads. That I saw....I Recommend the Chicken tikka w/naan + veg samosas.

Yum. As of 1/23 they've started serving food again. Eggplant curry is delicious. There's not a lot of good Indian options in Alameda, but if you're looking for some tasty food, try it. (Mint chutney was available and really good).

A small mom n pop convenience store, run by a really nice Indian couple. They have an extensive Indian grocery section with loads of interesting stuff--frozen naan, pani puri kits, dry pantry items, spices, and so much more. Also they have a good selection of craft beers in 16oz cans. Often their beer can inventory is suspiciously sticky. They have plans to start selling fresh cooked Indian food to-go, but they seem to have some issues getting all their permits in order. Every time I go, I ask when they're opening their kitchen, and they always say "next weekend" or "in a week or two", and its been 6-7 months of that. Anyways, I can't wait until they do, as Alameda really can use more Indian food options. They do sell hot samosas, 2 for $3, which are great, but my only criticism is that they never have any mint or tamarind chutney anymore, which makes a sad samosa eating experience.

This is a nice neighborhood variety store with an emphasis on Indian spices and other goods. They will soon have various home made take out Indian food selections available after their remodel is complete. Friendly owner, nice atmosphere. Good Samosas.

I've heard about this place for months, and finally stopped by. Their samosas were really delicious. I hope they will expand their menu again when times are better. But totally worth it for the samosas.

I tried to pick up some ladoo for Diwali and the price was labeled but when I got to the register she removed the sticker and quoted me a price $5 more. Will never come back!

Couldn't think of anything to go better with alcohol libations than the deep fried goodness of samosas. Two for three bucks is spot on. Deep curry filling with no greasiness. Take out only with your beer. Atmosphere it is not but the samosas are legit.

Not a fancy store by any means but its usually quick step in and out. Dude said oh you looking for good rum I will order some Old Monk for you. Family is very nice and that counts in my book.

So far I've tried the samosas and mango lassi, and both are delicious and very reasonably priced! I'm very glad to have them nearby!

When I say do not sleep on this place I mean DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE ALAMEDA! Their beer selection alone is enough to give them praise but they have other pantry groceries & frozen foods too. They have fresh hot samosas next to the register, 2 for 2.99, which is a great price on top of being incredibly delicious. A must stop if you're in the neighborhood looking for some good food and a unique craft beer.
