I've worked with Garrick for over a year while I was searching to purchase a home. Throughout the process, he always had a great attitude, quick to respond, and answered all my questions. When it came time to work on the loan, he provided the best rate without any points and explained the cost for each line item. After the the buyer accepted my offer, Lucy, the processing manager, was on top of it! She diligently followed up with everyone for the required documents to approve the loan and everything was processed smoothly. I highly recommend Garrick and his team if you're looking to purchase a home.

Have worked with Garrick and his team on two loans (purchase and a refinance). Both experiences have been great. Without question they offer the best rates, which is primary of course. But they've also been very helpful and knowledgeable with navigating my complex file and situation. Where some other brokers failed to get it done, wasting months of my time, Garrick and his team made it happen. Highly recommended!

Garrick is like no other broker I've worked with! Intelligent, creative and focused. I like his competitive spirit and knowledge about how to make deals close...he did both my refinances at the same time and both were very unique circumstances and financials....these were both loans other brokers said they couldn't do and then there was Garrick! I've referred him to many friends and family who all now use him as their go-to mortgage broker..thanks a 2 million Garrick! I call him "Show me the money Garrick!"

Garrick has helped my husband and I buy our first home and also refinance to an amazing rate. I am so grateful for the excellent clear advice he provided, the spreadsheets with all of the details you need to make decisions, and his perseverance to get us the best possible deal. I've used Garrick and his team to buy 2 homes now in Oakland and just a few months ago in Dublin. However, I still have never actually met him or anyone on his team in person! You can't go wrong using Garrick and team for your next mortgage. With any financial transaction the size of buying a home, there's bound to be issues. Both of my home mortgages were no exception. It's the customer service that really makes the difference which made me use Garrick again and in the future I'm sure. Him and Adriana in particular really went above and beyond to make sure all the issues that I brought to their attention were resolved an expedited manner to close on-time. This includes a title issue and an incorrect closing costs estimate before actual closing which resulted in a $30k mortgage increase less than 48 hours before closing! Even he commented that he's never seen a lender move so fast before!

TLDR: Garrick is great to work with and super knowledgable and honest. The Long Story: Garrick and I have been talking about loans and real estate for a few years. He was referred to us by a real estate agent I met at an open house, he quickly pre-approved us and ran us through various scenarios so we could get an offer in. Unfortunately, the offer didn't pan out. We didn't put any other offers in for a while, but Garrick stayed in touch (and knew the right balance of checking in periodically without being a pesky sales guy). About 18 months later, we did a refi on our existing house. I worked with Garrick on the refi, but also worked with another agent recommended loan broker as an alternative option, that ultimately had a lower rate that Caliber couldn't match. While I wanted to work with Garrick, at the end of the day, money is money, and he understood that and didn't try to sell me further or make a promise he couldn't keep. I respected that integrity. Finally, we decided to buy a house, and we of course looked to Garrick and Caliber. He again pre-approved us quickly, ran through several options and scenarios for us. When our offer was accepted and we went into escrow, he and his team made it all seem like a smooth process to ensure we got all the paperwork for underwriting and ensuring we could do a quick 25 day close. They were ready in 20 days.

We would highly recommend working with Garrick. We had a terrible experience with First Bank. They pulled a bait and switch on us (did not lock Our rate and tried to push a HELOC on us) and we thought we had to walk away from our dream home. garrick stepped in last minute and helped us close within 14 days (!). He was transparent and communicative - all the things that you want in a lender. He turned a horrible experience into a wonderful one. Additionally, our closing costs ending up being LOWER than the estimate which rarely happens. Thank you, Garrick and team!
