The room was ok. The one star review is due to the customer service from the supposed hotel manager, an older woman with a stripe of White hair in her bangs. My main issue is because she had a little bit of a fit when I asked for housekeeping to come on my rescheduled day on Sunday and stated that I needed to be out the room after I put my cat up in her carrier, so that I wouldn’t get housekeeping again, unless I was out of the room due to fumes on the housekeeper uses . The next Friday from the date, they came in the room for housekeeping on the Sunday, Again the day that I requested so I can be present and available. There was a scheduled air cleaning for the air conditioner. I scheduled to be on Friday due to me having a pet in the room is not going to be caged. They scheduled the cleaning for the air conditioner on Friday requested and did wake me up at that time, I slept on a dress and let them into the room to be completed. Then I prepared to go to work for the day. When I return to the hotel room, I found that someone, Housekeeping, had entered the room and clean the room, even though that was not my schedule day. I was quite embarrassed because I had my cycle in the bed a day prior and it planned to clean it before the housekeeping it came, however They decided to invade my privacy instead on a day that I had not scheduled for housekeeping, and did it before I was able to do what I needed to do. This would not have been such an issue have the hotel management been so extremely rude about it, and threatened to tell my employer. had to throw away the linens that even though I would’ve taken care of that before it was an issue. The handling is ridiculous, completely unprofessional, and someone who does not need to be involved in hospitality whatsoever. I do wish that corporate reaches out to me or some other resolution because I am completely incensed and upset by this turn of events my stay was not peaceful Whatsoever primarily due to management unprofessionalism. I’d like to add that when I told them I was gonna do a review because I wanted some sort of recompense and I’m entering my room without permission she threatened to call my job who is paying for the room due to a rehabilitation of the property. Manipulative unprofessional completely.

Nearby activities: Beautiful water front location with shoreline walk adjacent. Be sure and request Marina view room! Front desk staff are so welcoming andNoteworthy details: helpful in particular Dora and Angela always go above and beyond to make sure I’m well taken care of. Will be back again!

My family of 4 and our dog stayed here and it was nice. Great location, safe parking, and we all liked the kitchenette. It's right across the tube from downtown Oakland, which is very convenient.

The Extended Stay Oakland/ Alameda location is a controlled environment similar to a plantation. Personal items were stolen, hot water was turned off for two days, water was turned completely off for over 8 hours, black substance was on the stove burners which could have caused a potential fire. This is only the tip of the iceberg when describing the activities that are happening at this particular location. Extremely disappointing to say the least. They are laundering more than white towels and sheets. An investigation should be done immediately!!! Terrible abuse and exploitation taking place in this location.
