Shady business practices, do not give them your credit card or bank account information.

Cancellation is not possible. No options over call or online, they will keep stalling you to make you forget. The classes are okay but not worth the work of having to get your credit card replaced just to avoid future payments once you want to end your membership. Think twice before signing up.

Look, I'm just starting back into my fitness journey, so I don't have a whole lot to complain about. However, I'd love to see the gym open until 9pm on Saturdays and/or Sundays! For others, sure it does get crowded, and I wish they'd leave the area downstairs open to work out in (not just classes). But overall I'm happy with my experience!

The atmosphere here is great. Everyone here is super welcoming and supportive. The staff are all friendly and always willing the help, the crunchers are also always looking out for everyone, even noobs. Made some cool friends here and a ton of progress since I first started coming in August of 23. Can get a little crowded around 5pm, but c’est la vie I guess. Cam is a great manager and super friendly. All the trainers here are knowledgeable and helpful, but special props to Jay who’s taken me on as a project. Breaks things down without being rude about it, seems to genuinely care about helping people. Best gym I’ve been to in over 15 years, hands down.

For the price, solid gym. Very clean and well maintained equipment, typical of the crunch franchise. A machine that is out of service usually doesnt stay out of service for a long time and I hope they keep that going.Only downside is how crowded it gets, but if you want exclusivity, then you shouldnt expect to pay 18 bucks a month.

Managers and supervisors are always out of office, hard to make changes into your account, and the cancelation policy is sucks.Be careful with all the details when you register in here. They won`t disclose some of the payments with you and just asking you to sign everything and later on, you ´ll see some additional payments on your bill.

Join any gym but this one, and definitely do not give them your credit card info!Managers Matt & Cameron are completely unprofessional. It took days for them to get back to me about canceling my personal training and not renewing and they still charged me anyways even though I gave notice before the deadline! The gym is super small, often crowded. 98% of it is machines and the 2% of free weights only have one set of each variety. The bathrooms are always gross, nobody is cleaning them or restocking the soaps.Don’t be like me and give it a chance. I should have listened to everyone who joined and immediately left.Absolutely not worth the convenient location.

Been coming to this gym for months now. Staff is extremely friendly!! I would highly recommend doing the kickoff to know a friendly face. Space is a bit small but it does the job. I go in to get a workout in and see some friendly faces. If you want to avoid peak hours, go early in the morning, lunch time, or late in the evening. All in all, it's definitely good for the price. If there are any questions the staff is totally willing to answer patiently!

I have been going for about 5 months now and I really enjoy this gym. Although it is smaller compared to the others, it has everything needed to complete workouts. During busy peak hours, you will have to wait a bit but it wasn't too bad for me personally. Sometimes it gets messy, but I have noticed how staff regularly come in and clean it up. The gym is conveniently placed and I enjoy the balcony when the sky is looking nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful; It is always nice to walk in to their warm greetings. I really appreciate how other gym members have given tips or helped me out when learning new machines. The gym usually has good deals pop up here and there. The first free kickoff was a pretty nice experience, so take advantage of it. They also have discounts come up for the supplements and protein powder. They have special events and it was really fun to see everybody so involved. Side note: Once they played Scooby Doo on the television and it was great!! Overall, I took advantage of the deals offered, so BONUS! They will also notify of the deals or it's placed on the walls. If there are any questions, I would say just ask about it and it's pretty clear.

I have been a member for almost a year now. Previously, I was a member at PF for several years in a different area. Pros: --Amazing staff! I have never had an issue with anyone. --Well stocked cleaning supplies and bathrooms. Generally clean. --Members are polite and courteous. Everyone seems to respect each other's space. There also is a community-feel to it. Diverse representation in members. --Personal training: I do have a personal trainer and it has been amazing. Definitely worth the investment. Cons: --Too many high schoolers after school. They overrun the weights from 4-6 PM. With that being said, they aren't rude and will allow you to step in to do your sets. --Lack of air vents. It gets really warm especially in the summers. --Group classes seem to either always be booked immediately, or are offered at times when most folks are at work. --As others have shared, yes it is small. I haven't had an issue though of waiting long for certain machines. I have been to other Crunch locations that are larger. I'm glad the group fitness room is in a different location than the main gym, otherwise it would be even more of an issue. --Need a few more cleaning stations to help encourage more folks to wipe down after use. Overall, it's affordable in a great location. If you're looking for variety with no frills, this is a great gym.

Small but mighty - Crunch in Alameda has most of the equipment you need in a small space. Upon arrival, you need to go upstairs to sign in and use the weight room. If you are taking the classes, the studio is in a separate area next to five guys in the south shore center. The weight area is very compact. You have two squat racks and a few benches. They lack mirrors so I end up using my shadows on the windows when I need to check my form and a mirror space is unavailable. There is a grass area for those who want to use the punching bag and free weights. In addition they have two row machines along with a row of treadmills and a few stair masters. Ambiance is dimly lit but is mostly clean. The cleaning supplies are typically stocked and dirty tissues are not under machines and flying around like 24 hour fitness on high street. When I signed up, it was 12.99 a month. Good deal for gym goers who aren't that serious about lifting and just need a quick workout. I would avoid coming in at 5:00-6:00PM as those are the busiest times. You will be surrounded by high schoolers and college students who work in group of 5+ so you will never get the machine you been waiting for. Also the manager, Cameron is really nice and constantly posts with her staff on their Instagram that makes the gym a little more "fun"

First off, they make it very hard to cancel the membership. You cannot do it by phone or email, must come in. I went in and was told they could freeze my account until December just in case I changed my mind. I thought okay I might. I never did go so I emailed the rep who gave me the info about freezing my account. She then asked was I sure, I said yes, then she proceeded to email me that I had a balance. I emailed back asking how is that possible if my account was frozen. She said Crunch requires a 10 day cancellation notice. No where in the email or in person did she ever mention this. Avoid crunch, there are too many complaints about this gym company.
