This is a great place the owner is the nicest person you can meet and you never leave feeling like you could have got your cigar cheaper somewhere else. This by far is my favorite cigar shop

One of the Bay Area's best cigar shops! The owner is friendly and beyond helpful! She has a great selection of cigars, lighters, and ashtrays. My personal favorite is the Bonne Vie branded travel cigar ashtray!

Walked past this place so many times but decided to stop on during the alameda art and wine fair. I got the wine slushie that includes blue caracao and a white wine. It was lightly sweet, cold and delicious. It was intriguing and I def need to come back and try more.

My husband and I knew we wanted to buy cigars as a gift to our wedding party, but know very little about cigars so I am extremely thankful for Bonne Vie! The owner asked a few questions and then made some suggestions for us. We purchased our cigars and they kept them in a controlled cabinet until a few days before the wedding. The cigars they recommended were perfect! Thank you!

Great little spot to nip that cigar craving in the bud. Now they are not a massive cigar warehouse, so don't expect the largest selection, but what they do have is wonderfully curated and can fulfill any needs you might have. Prices are actually pretty reasonable (especially for the Bay Area), and the 4th stick free deal brings down the cost even more. Didn't get much of a chance to check out the beer and wine selection but the beers I did see around were very nice. Owners are lovely and welcoming. If you need to pick up a few stogies for yourself, as gifts, or to celebrate a special occasion, I would highly recommend this spot.

Bonne Vie translates to good life and this little shop would definitely provide you with some nice additions whether you are a cigar smoker or drinker. I am always happy to visit a cigar store and was pleasantly surprised to find this somewhat hidden shop while walking my dog. Their humidors are well maintained and have a small but well thought out selection of good boxes. They carry a box or two from Oliva, Fuente, Eiroa among a number of other brands. Both the proprietor and her golden retriever were a pleasure to meet and deal with. I am not a drinker however I would assume their wine/spirits selection is also well thought out. Don't come here if you are looking for a huge selection of different brands and vitolas but if you are in Alameda wanting a few good cigars in a very friendly environment then come visit Bonne Vie.

I come buy cigars here when I'm in the Alameda area. All cigars are well kept inside a humidor cabinet and they have all your cigar needs (cutters, humidors, torches, and other accessories).

Horrible customer service, I’ve tried giving the place 3 chances and they never fail to disappoint. They never pick up the phone and closed at the at the most random times of the day. The owner treat this place like a hobby rather than a true business.

I'm not a regular cigar smoker, but one day I was passing by this shop and decided to stop in to see about giving them a try. The woman that helped me was very informative about where to begin and what to look for when selecting the proper cigar to fit my taste. She showed me a few different medium cigars and after I made my decision she cut it for me and I took it on my way to enjoy. Her suggestion was excellent for my first cigar, it was mild in flavor and very enjoyable.
