this is probably the worst big 5 in the bay area. they have unclear hours and often nobody available to sell crucial sporting goods even though it is in stock. I have driven across Oakland to Alameda on at least 5 occasions at different times to find no one available for sales of items in stock. lame.

This place always has what we need for our last minute winter snow travels from gloves and boots to snow toys. Staff are helpful and professional.

Wow. This store was so disappointing. Litter on the floor everywhere, clothing on the racks was not organized at all, impossible to find anything. Needs a deep clean and total reorganization!

Best Big 5 on the east bay. They have ammo and they are super friendly. Its a bit off the beaten track and not cheap but they have all the stuff. Most of the East Bay Big 5's closed down so it's worth the drive out.

This Big 5, which is located at the Alameda South Shore Shopping Center, has all kinds of sporting goods in here!! I've come here for all sorts of things shoes, sleeves, athletic wear, running gear, so many things. I can usually find what I'm looking for, but sometimes you have to really look because they pack a lot in here. The checkout line is usually pretty short and goes quickly also, this is a good store!!
