No one helps when you come here, also the market was basically empty. I was in here with 7 people we were all walking in circles and left with nothing.Just take the trip to Euromarket in Oakland…

My friend is constantly looking for some Eastern European food. She also lives in MN and has been craving to get back to this place which we went to yesterday. My god, the potato pie here made by someone that works here is just astounding. You can get in the market in the frozen food section. We had some beef sausages and found some plum wine that looks amazing although she said it might taste a bit like ether. She's going to share some with her brothers when she sees them in a couple of days. I'll be back when out of town friends come to visit to spoil them with homemade treats.

The best turkey sandwiches. I've been bummed since Jonathan's closes but had a turkey sandwich from here multiple times and it has always been DELICIOUS. The owner makes a mean sandwich, has delicious deserts, and lots of great chocolate and tea. Have been grateful to this spot in Alameda for 10+ years, so glad to revisit afyer moving.

I just have the best baklava ever. It is not overly sweet like other restaurants and bakeries. The Bosnian coffee is similar to Turkish coffee but with finer ground is also delicious and aromatic. Definitely coming back to try everything else.

My 4 year old accidentally broke a chocolate Santa. Ok fine, happy to pay for what he broke. But then a worker yelled at him. 30 seconds later he was yelling at another child in there. I asked "is this a place for kids?" Lady at the cashier said "no, it's not." She then refused to give us the chocolate shake we had just paid for. We left.

After spending multiple months in Serbia, I was thrilled to find this market on Webster. My partner knew it was there but was holding out on me. A great selection on Eastern European foods. My favorites are Suho Meso, Govedi Prsut, and a bag of Smokis. The first 2 are different dried beef in chunks that I slice real thin. And Smokis are a puffed peanut tasting snack. Think Chettos without the cheese. They also have ajvar, a pepper based spread and all kinds of pickled veggies. Ok, let's talk snacks. Lots of cookies and candy and other treats. In the front there is ice cream, a lot of pastries, and you can hang out with a cup of coffee. It's not Safeway or TJ's, but it is the only place I know where I can get some of these authentic foods.

The owner is rude and not community like. Went in to see the deserts for if I would get some after lunch. I walked out and threw a coffee cup from next door in garbage. She then went to yell at me for using her garbage. Not nicely effectoy raising her voice saying g "I have to pay for garbage". I'm sure great food and selection but why support local business??

Great place! The owners and their tiny dog are very nice. If you need to make a gift basket for a foody friend this is the place to shop. They carry pelmeni, Tongue loaf, totally delicious marinated mushrooms, a lovely selection of teas and meats that I can't get anywhere else. I always find something new to try. I There are a number of unusual brandys and a selection of wine as well. European cookies, candies and pomegranate turkish delight so grab one of their shopping carts and try something you've never tasted before. We had coffee and dessert on a rainy day it was so pleasant. Next time I'm going to try their ice cream. So next time you are in Alameda try this little gem of a place.
