My gym back in 1992 as a very young Marine with MCSF Co NAS Alameda. We practiced weight training, judo, wrestling, and swimming when they had a pool. Plus a daily 5 mile run out to the airstrip along the estuary. We were in amazing physical fitness and conditioning shape! OOH RAH 3rd Platoon (Third Herd)!!!

We were there for the Stars of Wrestling show ... it was FANTASTIC.... Great Show and a Great Time ... we're going back in August for the Next show ... CHEERS and SEMPER FIDELIS......!!!!!!!

so many events & leagues play here!!! but, it's an old, dilapidated building. It has a musty/ dirty-gym-sockd-stench. It's in dire need of a remodel/renovation. And the parking lot needs new A/C & striping. but the new bathrooms are nice & ADA-compliant.

I came here for an AAU tournament this weekend. It's location is pretty cool being on a base. There's plenty of parking around but getting in and out is kind of a pain since it's basically just one lane in each direction leading to the main streets. It can get backed up quickly. There are 4 courts inside split with dividing curtains like Jam Town or the Field House. Courts are well maintained and in pretty good shape. While there are bleachers, courts 2 and 3 get the worst of it because you split them between the two so many people end up standing or crowding the end areas. If you get court 1 or 4 you are good (as a spectator). The restrooms are so old. For a facility this large they really should update them. There were two stalls in the womens bathroom and the floor was all uneven like an old school garage floor. The attendants that run this gym (not the people hosting the tournament) were so grouchy this weekend. This was a bball tournament for all ages (under 18) and I observed this short older woman yelling at children about bringing food inside the gym. Ok there's no food allowed we get that and yes she certainly did her job of not allowing any food inside bc all the smaller boys and girls flinched so hard with her shrill warnings. Your house your rules fine but seriously it wouldn't kill her to lighten up a bit. My husband needed to use the restroom and I guess when he was on his way inside someone stopped him and told him he couldnt go in because they were replacing the paper towel roll. Ok? But then someone (not a worker) by passed my husband and the attendant just let him through without scolding him! Selective much? Or maybe my husband didn't appear as intimidating? Who knows. I would much rather pay for entry at nearby Jam Town than come here. The people are nicer and the facilities are more updated. Although, I will say that the location of this place is near lots of choices for shopping and food so in between games you don't have to drive far. One star for the surrounding area and one star for the well maintained courts.

Been going here for few years now for Aau basketball tournament. Gym is kinda outdated and especially the RESTROOMS its too small to get in the cubicles they need to update it. Hard to get in and get out, not much of a space. They also need to check all the time if the restrooms are clean. Plus you can't bring food inside the gym. I don't know where is the rental money go if they don't update anything at the gym.

Not the greatest gym, kinda outdated facilities in a somewhat eerie area with abandoned building and lots of riff-raff hanging out around the parking area. Why am I a fan? I think it's pretty cool that the old Alameda Naval Air Station (NAS) gym is still in use! Think about all the games and people who have cycled through the place over the years. Gotta give it up for a piece of history still hosting youth tournaments almost 80 years after it opened. 3.5 stars

I like this gym. We play volleyball from 7pm to 9 pm, and I really want to be there up 10 pm. Very good costumer service. Very nice people. Thanks
