They refused to see me because "I didn't arrived 10 minutes early". The receptionist who refused to give her name, treated me like I am not a human being. She said she can only reschedule me but it took her 20 minutes to do that while I keep telling her I have hard time standing up. Finally her supervisor "Vanessa Benavides", came & refused to give us the receptionist's name. I felt a hint of racism from this place. I never been treated like this in my life. They called me in the afternoon & gave me all the excuses to protect the receptionist. They still refused to give us her name which is very suspicious. I am sure she is a repeated offender who they want to protect. It is sad patients have to deal with life altering illness & treated by so called healthcare professionals like garbage because they can't stand up or miss 10 minutes due to illness. Patients deserve all the consideration & benefit of the doubt more than anyone. My warning to anyone who goes to Alameda Family Physicians.

Very kind, attentive, and thorough - front desk, PAs, nurses, and doctors. If you want a physician that listens and takes you seriously, I highly recommend Grace Mitchell.

The PCP was lovely, even though they are no longer at the practice, but I've had rather bad experiences with the people working at reception. On multiple occasions, they've spoken to and treated us as though we were stupid time-wasters at least in part apparently because they expected us to know about the convoluted minutiae about how their particular practice works. Perhaps more of an indictment of the healthcare system here more generally. But we've also been given inaccurate information by the receptionists. We've not had a great experience here and will likely change practices in the near future.

I can’t give them low enough stars. My husband had salmonella poisoning. Sick for days. We went in they did a test and said it would be 3 days before the test came back. Gave him nothing. When it came back it was positive and the only alert was through their app. No call. I had to take him that evening to the ER for IVs and overnight he was so sick. A second time we went. For a different thing, equally as ineffective. I’ve can’t encourage anyone enough to find a different provider.

Very pleased with Dr. Inwah Chan today. Has always been a friendly, Courteous, knowledgeable, Professional as far as I know. Listens to and understands patient concerns, calmly recommends a wise path forward. We are each responsible for the day to day choices we make that effect our health. Having a Quality Primary Care Physician like Doctor Chan to turn to when You need to connect with the Bay Area Medical Community is Golden! : )

Friendly, great staff. Smoothest clinic I've used. Knowledgable doctors.

As other reviews have stated, I too delt with an extremely unhelpful, rude, LYING receptionist. Good luck getting an appointment as a new patient, I was told I would have to wait until August. I explained although there is an 8 month waiting period, I would still like to book my appointment with Dr.Sheth as she is my primary. I was told "there was no doctor under that name". The receptionist blatantly lied to me rather than correcting my mispronunciation of the doctor's name. I told her "Bansari Sheth", & she then rudely told me how she cannot book that far out.Don't even bother with Stanford.

As with many Stanford clinics, Billing and Scheduling are generally a pain to interact with, and the providers and care are absolutely stellar.

ok... so i went from 1 star to 5 star and well i guess i should go three star. The funny thing is... my feelings in all three are all the same..all the way back to my 2015 review. I love the doctors, for my whole family they have been great always sad when one leaves but the next has been good as well. The problem is its a mixed bag getting to them. Getting past the front desk is troublesome, Yes I had trouble with my child's video call setup. No I don't really need the attitude and scolding as i fumble to figure things out. Called back when I figured it out and got someone different. I think they wondered why I was so apologetic sounding like a wounded dog, seemed very nice, I guess I rolled the dice wrong the first time.

This office, specifically Dr. Mirmira, will withold lifesaving prescriptions in retaliation if you are 10 minutes late to an appt. If you really need your prescriptions and also believe that sometimes things in life like mobility issues prevent you from being perfectly punctual then don't go here.

Surprised with the poor reviews here. I've been seeing Dr Tsao for 10+ years. She's by far the best PCP I've ever had. Caring, available, methodical, organized. Her nurses have all been great too--friendly, caring, helpful. The front desk and prescription desk folks are very friendly and responsive. It's always easy to speak with someone on the phone if needed. The whole practice responds to messages in My Health within 24 hours.I strongly recommend this practice.

I have never had a long wait here. Now that covid precautions keeps the number of people in the waiting room to a minimum I am in and out quickly. I communicate with my doctor by email when I have questions or need prescriptions. The online records is great for a summary of visits and lab results. Overall very satisfied.

What an attitude! This review is for the front desk and their manners. Delays in responses, rude tone, and unprofessional approach to the clients. This behavior does not align with Stanford’s culture. Not sure why the front desk is that unpleasant.
