- This is the first place I go for bike service.- They've saved my weekend ride several times, last minute mechanicals, staying late to finish, helping on the spot...they've done it all to keep me riding.- Best experience yet was a tri bike fit with Brian to fix an old fit from a different shop. I was uncomfortable and had a hard time sustaining power in aero. Brian dialed me in and I'm feeling better than I've ever felt on the tri bikeWhatever your bike needs, I definitely recommend giving these guys a try

So I called Serious Cycling a few days ago, I asked over the phone "how can I get my mtb tire to fill up with air, after I took it off to add tire sealant?" I was told if I don't have a presta valve on my air compressor it won't go back, I was told over the phone by an employee "bring in your tire if you can't figure it out and we can easily add some air to it no charge". When I went in Bryan the store manager helped me, I told him I talked to someone over the phone and I needed to get my tire pumped up that was all. I could have done the tire sealant on my own, but since I brought my bottle of tire sealant I asked if I could put the tire sealant in real quick. Bryan said he would, so he reluctantly did, I don't know what it is about that man but he is always so rude to me, and other people I see come in there. Which is crazy because he is the store manager why would they want him there still? Anyways it took Bryan 2-3 minutes to add air, take the valve stem off, add my sealant I owned, and refill the tire with air. So with such a simple an easy fix, that used my pre purchased parts, I was a little annoyed when he went to charge me for the 2 minutes of labor it took. All I said was, "what am I being charged for? I was told I wouldn't get charged!" I said this because that was the truth. Bryan is a terrible face for this business I hear from others who go to serious cycling the same experience. I was charged for the easiest labor heard of, and when I said "why am I being charged?" He began to argue with me about it. In his line of work, he should know that the customer is always right, and losing business over 6 ridiculous dollars is not worth it!

I was a walk in and they took me right in!! I figured my old giant bike was going to be trash but took it in just to see if they could fix it and within 20 minutes they had it fully operational and only charged me a minimal fee. They are trustworthy and their work is quality and superior. I am very stoked right now.

Bryan really took time to help me and shared his passion for cycling in ways that really helped. He listened and made suggestions that were tailored to my wants and needs. I will be a repeat customer, and greatly appreciate the guidance! Thank you!

The best bike shop in the area! Nothing in Ventura County compares! They don't think a 9 speed cassette is obsolete and they can service my finicky shifters.

People are nice, but completely incompetent. Ordered a part, somehow got lost and took them 4weeks and multiple trips to the shop to figure it out. I asked to order it again and 3 weeks in nothing happened. Went to the Hub for the same order and got the part shipped in 5 business days. Very disappointed by service and performance.

I do really like this store, both the Agoura and the Northridge locations, and almost all of the staff is always super helpful and friendly, despite the fact that I may not appear to be their target market as far as cyclists are concerned, I probably weigh nearly twice what most "Serious Cyclists" do (and not from too much time in the gym).I would have rated five stars, but about two to two and a half weeks ago, I had a fairly disappointing experience at the Northridge store. I showed up hoping to take a look at some of the stock of Dogma F frames they had. Upon inquiring, they did have one in my size, which I had been made aware of previously by an employee at the Agoura store, but I did not know if it had sold already. I was hoping to just see some of the frames, maybe take a look at the color and see if I could convince myself it would be worth it, but sadly it was not at either of the store locations, but in their warehouse. That's no big deal, the issue I had, was that I didn't feel like I was taken very seriously by the employee who helped me. He seemed shocked at my first question about Dogma F availability, and that I was interested in one, which in and of itself wouldn't be bad, but it wasn't just surprise and it's over, it seemed to continue to puzzle him why I might be interested in such an aggressive and expensive frame. Following this, he more or less told me nothing else was coming, but they had the black and red frame I knew about, and I had explained to him the two colors I had any interest in. Despite feeling talked down to somewhat, I was ok with the way he handled most of the conversation. The part that bothered me the most was some kind of bizarre sales tactic, where he explained to me that I should probably just settle for whatever color I can get my hands on because I'll probably be waiting many many months and even if I did wait until the "estimated arrival" date, it probably wouldn't show up based on "how the bike industry has been going". My first problem is, fear mongering is a really weird sales tactic, and most people who are spending more on their bike than their car, probably have some idea of availability elsewhere as well. I had one (the color and size I wanted) preordered to arrive in early August, and I was fairly confident it would arrive around then, if not much later. The salesman there even told me, there are often delays, but not usually more than a couple weeks if anything. He set me up for the possibility, but didn't try to act like it was never going to show up. The second thing is, telling someone who just told you that they are only specifically interested in two of the colorway options, that he should probably just "settle for whatever he can get his hands on right now", sounds like a sales tactic used to lure the kind of customer that they never expect to have to deal with again, because they are just buying the bike as a way to have some kind of bragging rights in their circle, and not someone who cares about the bike he plans to put over 6,000 miles a year on. While that may not be much mileage to a "serious cyclist", it's a significant amount for me, and for pretty much any cyclist above a weekend rider. As it turns out, another shop who didn't even think they could get it for me soon, but called Pinarello anyway just in case, ended up getting EXTREMELY lucky, because Pinarello had just built one for another shop that cancelled that order, and offered it to them if they wanted it, since an interested customer said he would buy it if it arrived. Well, I picked up my Crystal White Dogma F in size 56 yesterday. I would imagine Serious Cycling has some decent clout with Pinarello, since they sell quite a number of their bikes, which gives me the impression they could have done the exact same thing for me. Maybe it just seemed easier to sell me whatever was in stock, than try to make a phone call to help a serious customer. I've always appreciated how Serious Cycling, that cat

I love writing reviews like this. I popped in to the Serious Cycling Shop in Northridge, CA 4/20/22. I simply wanted new bar tape for my BMC SLR01. As always the entire Northridge staff was gracious and welcoming and making me feel like a VIP! Today it was Aidan that helped me. I only had the expectation Aidan would wrap my bar tape and I'd be on my way. Aidan asked if I had more time to stay at the shop. I told him sure. He then preceded to clean my frame and polish it up. After his superb cleaning he took time to update my SRAM Red AXS with the latest firmware from his own cell phone. Aidan truly went above and beyond today. Beyond Aidan, all the team members are fantastic and I always enjoy the 30 minute trip to the Northridge shop! Stephen
