Christmas Night 2:30am - We had an emergency with our 14 yr old puppy. We needed an emergency euthanizing. Oaks Veterinary was the only animal hospital open and were a quick, less-than 7 minute drive from Rancho Road. We were greeted with kindness and understanding, then lead down a hallway into a surprising room that was not the usual vet exam room with a metal table you set your pet on top of. Waiting for us we found an extra large and inviting living room with comfy cuddle-up couches and comfy chairs for our whole family and pup. The staff left us to relax (relax may be the wrong word), with our pup, say our goodbyes in a calm environment, give last hugs, tears, and love no matter how long it took us to be ready to call the doctor in. We were never pushed or rushed. This was a homey room where we all could sit. We took turns with everyone being able to hold in their arms, snuggling, and kissing goodbye our loved pet for the last time until we all were ready to save him from more pain.We called the staff in and with our pup asleep and snuggled in my my wife's arms like he had done nightly for many years, he was painlessly and unaware, given his final sleep. He passed being held and loved by his family, knowing our familiar scents. We all held our final emotions in-check, wanting him to never feel our anguish, but leave us feeling our calming love and peace. The family was allowed to stay in the living room petting our pup until we felt ready to leave. After about 1/2 hour of telling funny memories, laughing and crying, we were calm enough to leave. I wish we had known about Oaks Veterinary Urgent Care when on a cold vet table, with us having to stand aside and watch, we had to send off our other pup a year earlier.

Crooks, they told us they were gonna let our French bulldog die if we didn't sign over all 10 puppies cuz she went into labor early 3 days before we had our doctor's scheduled. They said it was some third party funding place that helped pay for the rest of the emergency c section cuz we could. Only come up with $1000 till midnight then we would have the rest but they couldn't wait they wanted all up front or our dog dies or give them all puppies for the funding company. Come to find out the lady doctors started that funding company and run it. But they made it seem like we had to talk to some other people even a different email address. When we said we were gonna get a lawyer they called us to pick up the mom ND claimed all 10 puppies died suddenly after 2 days jn their care but up to that point all were perfectly healthy. We asked to see the bodies over the phone they said of course. We go in they say we have no right to see bodies and even had the sheriff come. Sick people. Our gg would have been such a good mother we were so excited to see her become one since she is so gentle ND caring for our other dogs. And they basically help us up for the puppies since every else was closed. We went in at 9 they closed at 11 we would have had the rest of money 1 hour after closing since they were gonna be doing surgery it shouldn't have been issue but they told us either give us 1000 and all 10 French bulldog puppies or u can take your dog ND leave, so basically let her die. they took our pups ND gave neutered our dog cuz they said they are against breeding. Like what? Just Don't go to them please avoid at all cost. Weve been heartbroken ever since they robbed us, afraid to go to vets cuz of this traumatic experience.Stay away at all costs

Went in on Christmas Eve - they were so busy already right at opening and they were so nice, communicative and reassuring even though people kept flooding in the door. Dr Karen made me feel safe leaving my pup in their hands. All of the staff I came in contact with were so kind, I was surprised that to be greeted and talked to so warmly. Highly recommend!

This urgent care for pets is a little gem located in agoura hills. The staff, from reception to vet is caring and responsive. The environment is pleasant and welcoming. This is not a full er, but it is a place you can have your pet seen by a capable team, usually within a reasonable time frame. Recommend!

My dog won't eat. He needs meds for that. He's close to death, this would help him live a little longer. These heartless thieves refused him that bit of dignity. There are places that care, this is not one. Don't take your animals here. Beware.

We had to put our beloved cat down last night and chose this place even though we had never heard of it before but it was open late and the person who picked up the phone was so kind. I cannot be more grateful we came to the Oaks Urgent Care. This was the cleanest, calmest, warmest environment we’ve been to for our pets. We were seen immediately and the staff was so kind and helpful. They made our cat feel so comfortable and peaceful in his last moments- he even started purring. He hadn’t purred for days because he was so sick. So this was a very sweet goodbye. Thank you to everyone who was there last night, the vet, the animal techs, the receptionists, everyone made this experience as hard as it was a good one. Thank you.

I had an emergency with my bunny Stella and I called to make sure they had a exotic vet on duty and they did, as soon as I arrived they took her in immediately with no wait, I knew she had GI stasis and that’s what I was told she has.I was there briefly for an hour and a half. I went home with lots of medicine and they gave her fluids with IV when I was there as well. Two days later she is doing so much better. The staff is so nice as well! Thank you for saving my bunnies life!

The staff were all so kind & caring when I had to put my cat down. The room was quiet & comfortable. The tenderness they showed to me & to my cat was really beyond my expectations. I can’t thank them enough for making a heartbreaking event bearable.

Great caring and professional staff! Able to get blood work results in 1/2 hour. We would definitely recommend this care center!

On June 6, 2023, I took my dog for vomiting and a cough he’d had. The first thing the vet reassured me of is that he has no heart disease or any issues with his heart. On July 2, 2023, my dog collapsed and was diagnosed with a tumor on his heart. The lack of care is absolutely disgusting and the vet should be ashamed of himself.

Absolutely terrible experience. I walked in with a full explanation of what was wrong (foxtail in my dogs paw). The “exam” was a questionnaire I filled out on paper for $120. I was then told the procedure of flushing the paw , wound care, foreign body removal, medication, and a pain shot would total about 300$. 30 minutes later a vet came out and told me she would need a full sedation and surgery to potentially find the fox tail, but that would cost $500 more. When i declined the “surgery” my bill was $515.Outside of the ridiculous prices not one person acknowledged my dog, pet her, or in anyway tried to console her. Overall I’d absolutely recommend going somewhere else. Money doesn’t matter but the treatment of your pet does.

Great experience today with my Pitbull who had a blister on his foot. Doctor Anderson was friendly and thorough and well worth the wait although it was a short wait. All personnel were helpful and friendly too.

Truly by far THE WORST experience I’ve ever had. My pup had an embedded foxtail so we called ahead to see if they’d be able to take her. The tech told us we could head over and it’s about $120. Sounds good!Walking in, not one person acknowledged my dog and further still even when headed back to the treatment room, still nothing. Without even examining my dog, the tech stated that it would be $300-$400 for the “surgery” (this is the first time the price changed from what we were originally told, but whatever, I she needs it, works for me). The tech proceeded to grab the leash and walk her out (again without even acknowledging her existence. Not even a smile or a word of encouragement). After 30 minutes, the doctor came back and told us that (even though she saw where the point of entry was) she couldn’t find anything, but if we wanted, we could pay an additional fee and sedate her and let her try again, but no guarantee that it would work with that either….Honesty, if it seemed like they cared even one iota for my pup I’d say go for it. As it stands, not one person on staff seemed to care at all and honestly it was just a yucky vibe so we declined. After another 15minutes the tech came back and gave us a bill for $505….. for literally nothing.Truly, money is not even the issue, if you care at all about you pup, do them and yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Yesterday we had to put our 13 year old dog down and it was the hardest thing we had to do. Everyone was so kind, caring, and helped us through it with compassion and kindness. From the front staff to the Doctor. Thank you
