Whatever you do, don't get keys made here. I had several keys made of our house key that opens both the doorknob lock and deadbolt. I'm now locked out of my house because the new key opens the door handle and not the deadbolt. Silly me that I didn't try the key in both locks! I'm going to long for Orchard Supply now while my husband heads home to let me in the house.

I had to leave a review after seeing too many poor reviews. this store is great! I can get more help here than I ever could at a Home Depot or Lowe's and they have so much stuff! the staff is friendly and helpful. for a neighborhood store this is super convenient for simple everyday needs. for reference we have purchased firewood, batteries, lightbulbs, air filters, Christmas decor, hooks, washers, garden supplies and electrical supplies.

Not a lot to say... huge store... good customer service...decent selection... prices slightly high. It's local and convenient so gets my patronage along with the Thousand Oaks location.

My hubby and I went to the Do It Center this morning to purchase a sheet of plywood. We walked back to the lumber department, found when we thought we needed however, we had a few questions. I looked all over the lumber department for an employee and when I couldn't locate anyone, my hubby went off to find some help. He finally found a store associate who seemed to be alone and asked for assistance, when he was rudely told , 'Buddy, you will have to wait. I am with somebody'. So, my hubby then went to the front of the store where a young man at the cash register asked over the overhead paging system to 'please come to the lumber department'. Meanwhile, we then waited 10 minutes at the lumber department and not one salesperson showed up. DIY, you'd better DIY yourself and get your sales folks into a consumer communication and manners course. And may I also suggest you hire more sales associates and enroll them prior to working in the store. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this store nor will I recommend. I'll give you one star though, as you have ample parking out front.

Great local home improvement place. Slightly more expensive than a national orange or blue color scheme store, but gas is expensive too.
